Internal affairs and defense services are shoulder to shoulder learning to protect our country! In other years I have participated in the military exercise "Namejs" as a National Guard soldier. This year I am an observer, to see how effectively internal affairs services (firefighters, border guards and police) can work together with the Latvian army and allied forces. The exercises are still ongoing. Let us support our people who are working to ensure our country is safe.

16312From@SaulisVarpinsI understand that the security situation in Latvia is more stable than in Lithuania, Poland and even France, and both Macron and Tusk may be panicking a bit. But if even the Lithuanians know that if “everything breaks down”, they have routes towards the Polish corridor, what corridors do we have here in Latvia, including for the residents of Riga? How will people learn about them and when? Which radio frequency will we need to listen to? What will be the action scenario if the Suwałki Corridor is nevertheless closed? Will it be Kurzeme Cauldron 2, only this time for ourselves? And this is not about fleeing, but about the planned evacuation of that part of society that will need to be protected from hostilities. I know what I will do and what I must do, but there is a part of society for whom this is not clear. Communication with the public by @edgarsrinkevics and @AndrisKulbergs from the services no longer seems sufficient, because the claim that “the security situation is unchanged” no longer correlates with statements by other national leaders. I believe @nbskomandieris that the NBS is ready for provocations, but society itself must also be ready for these provocations. Leaders of other countries now speak not only of drone but also of “missile incidents”, and that is something new, because missiles have a completely different radius of destruction and consequences. It must be brought to public awareness that the situation has changed, and it must be ready for these new changes. Ready with faith in its State.

From@LV_visiemThe storm at the end of August showed that @austsaule and @lindberga22 were right - Anita Brauna at LSM is a huge mistake. During the storm, the media broadcast old recordings - at a time when there was no water, electricity even for hospitals. What will we do if war starts? Brauna will sit in the countryside, silent? @seplpadome https://t.co/Z08WxXiWj4

@AndraKaupe @akmens I also call on all our competitors to vote for us. Thanks for the flight of thought!
From@AndraKaupe@akmens Nationalists must cooperate in a coordinated manner, and currently this means sacrificing ASL's 2% that would provide state funding, in favor of such a number of NA mandates that would significantly increase the chance to form a coalition both without Šlesers and without Pro!

Two convocations in a row wasn't possible? Of course, everyone else is guilty. Now ASL is guilty. Very inspiring.
From@AndraKaupe@AndrisVelps @therealneymann RD didn't have the opportunity to form a coalition without both Šlesers and Pro, and you, unfortunately, are currently doing everything possible so that there isn't one in the Saeima either.

@cikvarnest @Fertelis ASL is for stopping migration! No controlled or uncontrolled - stopping and departure of those who have already arrived! In this regard, ASL is the only one! https://t.co/NounsrwMjC
From@cikvarnestThe question is about one's own priorities. Besides reducing migration, MMN's priority is to reduce the state budget deficit, so that in the long run payments on national debt would decrease and more money would remain for themselves. Also, to make hospitals focus on treatment quality, not just the number of procedures. ASL is also for restricting migration.

@io7246 If the majority of society thinks that there is no point in voting for the party they want to vote for, then there is no point in elections. Exactly such rhetoric as you spread undermines the current electoral system (its functioning in Latvian society).
From@io7246ASL and MMN's goal is 2% - because it would give the opportunity to claim your tax money. Unfortunately, unlike the elected, they themselves perfectly understand that 5% is not in the cards. https://t.co/0ytShxTXsv

Discrimination against same-sex couples has nothing to do with protecting the institution of marriage. Marriage is a different kind of set. With functional requirements, societal expectations, and an appropriate, defined place of honor in society. Other unions with lesser demands on participants and lesser obligations to society may choose a different name.
From@nezobis@Kurmitis_ @linda_matisone @Edgars_T Why not? It doesn't affect you and won't affect you. Discrimination against same-sex couples must end.

From@ArlietasForeign Minister @Braze_Baiba met with US President's Special Envoy for Belarus Affairs John Cole to discuss ways to reduce and prevent the instrumentalization of migration carried out by the Belarusian regime, which threatens the external border of the EU 🇪🇺 and NATO and regional security. 💬 “The Belarusian regime continues to use people as an instrument to exert pressure on Latvia and the European Union. This is not just a migration issue – it is part of Russia's war doctrine to weaken allied unity, place additional strain on our State Border Guard, and threaten the security of the EU and NATO borders,” said B. From@Latvijas_armijaNBS constantly monitors the security situation, closely cooperating with allied intelligence and security institutions. The threat level in Latvia and the region has not changed. The situation assessment is updated daily, not only in response to individual events. We are prepared for provocations. Comprehensive national defence exercises 'Namejs' are taking place in Latvia, also involving allied units. Meanwhile, Operation 'Vilkatis' continues in eastern Latvia, and NATO air policing will be reinforced for the Saeima elections. This weekend, at the NATO Military Committee in Copenhagen, we will discuss the Alliance's joint response to potential future diversions and sabotage attempts.
