Braže: campaigns are being conducted in Latvia that question support for Ukraine

16347Amusing table. @austsaule was a public organization until the party's founding. Apparently the fact that we didn't ask for state money makes us an 'unsocial' and deeply unfriendly force for 'civil society'.
From@2_teikumiThis is how Latvia's (Soros) civil society agitates - take note when choosing who to vote for. So you don't have to complain again that you voted for something 'conservative', 'right-wing', but all you got ... are Meierovica Society for Progressive Change political decisions☺️

From@ShaunPinnerUAIt’s all okay, Ovechkin says he’s for “peace and love”! You stole my home, killed my friends and fucking electrocuted me, asshole. You killed children in our neighbourhood while torturing us in Nazi-style filtration camps, starving us and sentencing me to death. How about you go fuck yourself, and take your hollow “peace and love” bullshit with you.

Such a rapid 're-painting' as demonstrated by @AndrisKulbergs is hard to even imagine. @Apvienotais_ calls itself a conservative force, but Kulbergs' actions show the opposite - support for third-country immigration, support for the Istanbul Convention that undermines the institution of marriage, and circumvention of Article 110 of the Satversme in the name of same-sex marriage. How does AS even differ from @Jauna_Vienotiba, or has it always been just a convenient continuation of Unity's policy under a different name?
From@attistibai🎾 Edgars @Jaunups: “The result of Vienotība's work is that in Latvia healthcare funding in relation to GDP has been decreasing for several years; the sector is actually being kept hungry because costs continue to grow faster than funding. Source: LSM https://t.co/VVp1ZO8XiJ

🇱🇻 I see that the public is anxious while following international news. I want to reassure - there is no reason for panic!! We take the security situation seriously. 🇵🇱 The Polish Prime Minister has published an intelligence risk assessment on possible Russian actions in the coming months. However, it is not a statement about a specific or imminent attack on Poland, Latvia, or any other NATO country. 📢 You know that I communicate openly, also about negative facts. But right now there is no reason for concern. 🤝 I am in constant contact with the services. This week I also met with EU leaders who attended the Arctic Summit. ✅ Currently there is no information indicating a particularly high level of threat. I can confirm that Russia is not ready for war and is not capable of a conventional attack. 🛡️ NATO support is stronger than ever. Our border guard and services are vigilant – a number of operations are underway on the border, military exercises are taking place, and German fighters will additionally patrol the airspace during elections. However, we must remain vigilant. Our society is well informed about threats and knows our eastern neighbor well. Of course, the Russian election context intensifies the volume of disinformation and propaganda. 🔍 I am carefully following the situation, meeting with the services, and speaking with both Ukrainian and EU leaders. The responsible services constantly monitor the situation and exchange information with our allies. I can reassure you! If a real threat arises, I will inform you immediately.

From@Latvian_MFAForeign Minister @Braze_Baiba had a vivid and substantive exchange with @Stanford 🇺🇸 students on Latvia’s 🇱🇻 foreign policy priorities, Baltic security and transatlantic relations. The discussion also touched on Latvia’s work to strengthen societal resilience and counter Russian disinformation and hybrid threats. Grateful to these bright💡minds for the genuinely engaging dialogue. 📸 Photo: Kristīne Dukule, MFA of Latvia https://t.co/cHTRcfs3Bm

Oh how great that Russia is not ready for war. Already for four and a half years it's completely not ready... And even better that the Latvian authorities have used these four and a half years wisely, and as a result our country is now very ready... Tukšd...slis. https://t.co/6qRhPgWhjD

From@LZilvinskisOn October 3, 2026, the Saeima elections will take place. For the first time, I have gone from being a voter to a candidate, and I am pleased that in Latvia there is a party for which conservative values and nationalism are not just an election slogan but the reason for its founding. In the two previous elections, I voted for parties that promised to protect conservative values. Eight years ago I trusted JKP, four years ago the United List. However, the Partnership regulation was adopted, the Istanbul Convention was ratified, and the promises remained where they were made: before the elections. After this disappointment, I got tired of waiting for someone else to fulfill what was promised. So in 2024 I joined the association 'Austošā Saule', because I knew that its goal was to become a party. Before that, I checked who these people were and found idealists for whom Latvia is not a four-year project but a home built for generations. I was present when the association became a party on 23 August 2025, the only truly new party in these elections. Over these years I have fallen in love with the nationalism of small nations, because it is not directed against others but is an unwavering will to exist. The preamble of the Constitution states that the Latvian state was created to guarantee the existence of the Latvian nation, its language and culture through the centuries. In 1989, when I was born, Latvians were only 52% in their own land; this year we are about 63%. Latvia is the only place in the world where the Latvian people and language are at home: if there are fewer of us here, there will be no other place in the world where we could become more. The promise of the Constitution does not fulfil itself; it is fulfilled by people in the Saeima. Therefore, 'Austošā Saule Latvijai' offers not slogans but concrete steps: - defend the interests of Latvians as the state nation, strengthen the Latvian language and the Latvian cultural environment; - promote the emigration of third-country immigrants and make the residence permit issuance procedure stricter, while other parties only promise to fight illegal immigration; - prevent the spread of Islamism; - amend Article 110 of the Constitution so that the foundation of the family is the marriage of a man and a woman, blood kinship or adoption; - gradually end the Partnership institution, while other so-called conservative parties stop at the promise of not allowing same-sex marriage; - withdraw from the Istanbul Convention and fight domestic violence with national laws and crisis centres; - ensure that families return to the countryside and new farms are created; - actively participate in NATO and remain in the European Union as a community of national states, so that conservative values have a voice in it. These goals are achievable by legal means, but parties tend to stumble in implementing them. I have a master's degree in law from the University of Latvia and thorough knowledge of constitutional law, so I will help turn the goals of the ASL programme into laws that will be written to withstand the review of the Constitutional Court. If you support national and conservative values, and if you truly care about family, nation and state, then on 3 October put the ballot for list 12 in the envelope. May a morning dawn over Latvia in which Latvians as the titular nation are a stable majority in their own land!

From@andrissprudsInstead of the Swedish wheeled artillery system 'Archer', which has proven itself in combat in Ukraine, Latvia will be the first to purchase the Czech system 'Morana', which is still in the testing stage. This decision, justified by lower prices and delivery times, raises questions. If price is decisive, then the even cheaper French 'Caesar' should be purchased, which is the choice of Lithuania, Estonia, and the Czech Republic's own army. As for delivery speed, an agreement was previously reached with Sweden that already this year, while Archer manufacturer BAE Systems Bofors would fulfill Latvia's order, a temporary equivalent solution would be provided and training would begin together with Swedish soldiers. Arms acquisitions strengthen strategic partnership between countries. It is in Latvia's interests to maximize cooperation with allies in the Baltic Sea region, especially militarily strong Sweden and Poland. Sweden's decision to send a battalion to Latvia became an important contribution to our security. The intergovernmental defense cooperation roadmap signed in January should further increase Sweden's presence in Latvia. It was planned not only to conduct joint training in the use of artillery systems, but also to host Swedish fighter jets at Lielvārde air base, cooperate in the development of drone and anti-drone technologies, strengthen mutual supply security in cooperation with industry. 🔗 Roadmap: https://t.co/OLjbF9QpzG Strategic foresight is to cooperate with your closest allies in the region.

As reported, on 9 January this year, former Minister of Smart Administration and Regional Development Raimonds Čudars (JV) suspended part of the territorial planning regulations of Bauska and Preiļi municipalities with two orders. Both municipalities decided not to repeal their binding regulations and turned to the Constitutional Court. In April this year, the Constitutional Court initiated cases on the compliance of both ministerial orders with the Spatial Development Planning Law https://t.co/EZCHhWIaCd
@VisockisJuris Juri, I understand that you have only your truths and then others. Thanks for the conversation.
From@VisockisJuris@CerinsAivis You certainly won't teach Latvia to measure itself and jump after global giants and globalist slogans! And taxes are NOT a matter of self-esteem and honor - it's the financial foundation of the economy and the state's existence. But an economic zero cannot understand that, as I said - plagiarized phrases.
