REFERENCE: Currently, a case has been initiated in the Constitutional Court in which it is requested that the partner of a child's biological mother also be registered as the mother in the child's birth register. So the question is about the legal recognition of two mothers in child documents. The Constitutional Court has called on the Saeima and the Cabinet of Ministers to submit their legally reasoned response.
