From@NellijaLIn the new IR we interview director Viesturs Kairišs - about the unique story of Uļa, which this week finally went to Latvian viewers, and also about election dilemmas. There is something that Kairišs cannot forgive Kulbergs, and he also has an idea where state funding for parties should be spent. https://t.co/5WYnFdlLPD

Minister hopes to approve migration restriction plan as early as next Tuesday 0 54
The prosecutor's office has received for criminal prosecution the criminal case of former welfare minister Reinis Uzulnieks who drove drunk.
From@JurgisLiepnieksI deliberately paused for a couple of days, thought it would calm down, you can't swear all the time, but still I don't know how to politely describe Kulbergs' government decisions on the Russian grain matter. So the Latvian government made a decision to ensure unimpeded transit for Russian and Ukrainian-stolen grain through Latvian ports. Only for show, increasing one of the most insignificant transit cost items, which will still allow Latvia to earn a bit in this common business with Russia. As a result, grain transit will not be stopped, it is and will continue at full speed, we are helping Russians rob Ukraine and get money for war. How????? That is Kulbergs' real policy.

From@nexta_tv🚨 🇨🇳 BREAKING: Zelensky says China is now on Russia’s side “It’s not even about weapons. It’s about political will. And it’s a pity, because this war could be started and stopped very quickly by strong leaders, including China,” the Ukrainian president said in an interview with Japan’s NHK. He also added that many Chinese-made components are used in Russian missiles and drones — while Beijing, he said, is doing nothing about it. Zelensky also warned about North Korea: according to him, tens of thousands of North Korean troops have gained experience in modern warfare in Russia “without major losses.” And that, he said, is already a threat to all of East Asia.

This phrase: "To help voters make a critical and informed choice in the 15th Saeima elections..." Is a deliberate lie to tell Latvian voters which parties they have the "right" to vote for. This action is deliberate - the government is afraid of the new politics offered by a new force, so everything possible is done to prevent voters from learning about it. 14 political parties registered for the elections and paid the security deposit. Among them there is only one newly established party - "Austošā Saule Latvijai". Radio, TV, print, interactive and outdoor advertising costs tens of thousands of euros. For the old parties, this money is provided by all Latvian taxpayers. "Austošā Saule Latvijai" has no state funding, it is free from oligarchs and other interested parties' money. We exist completely independently - only from our own funds, which members earn through their own work. The media paid for by Latvian taxpayers deliberately filter who gets airtime and who is pushed out, using invented criteria controlled by a private office. In order not to change the political situation in Latvia in substance, but only to reshuffle chairs, viewers and listeners are lied to about the real election options, simply omitting some of them. Therefore, the statement "To help voters make a critical and informed choice..." is shameless and cynical manipulation.
From@ltvzinasTo help voters make a critical and informed choice in the 15th Saeima elections, Latvian Television offers a program series “Party in Focus” that provides a comprehensive insight into party programs and their offerings. Based on SKDS public opinion survey data, the cycle features political forces that have reached at least 2% support by early August. On Tuesday, the National Alliance visited the program. #IzvēliesLatvijasNākotni #Vēlēšanas2026

From@Krisjanis_KIf you read the fascist Russian press, you can learn that the Russians are 'softening up' on any @AndrisKulbergs government 'tariffs' and plan to TRANSSHIP 2x MORE BLOODY GRAIN through Latvian and other Baltic countries' ports than they are able to transship through their own Baltic Sea ports!! Sorry, @MGruskevics, but you need to bluff in moderation….

From@Krisjanis_KHere is a very nasty question. WHY is the transit of Russian bloody grain in Estonia almost zero (they are also an EU state, after all), even though their Muuga port capacity in this genre is a serious 2 million tons? And why is Latvia in the role of a Russian errand boy, letting through ALMOST 90% OF RUSSIAN GRAIN in the Baltic states' ports!!!! Maybe one phone call to the Estonian prime minister to adopt experience could solve everything?🤔 @IvoButkevics @Lato_Lapsa @DelfiLV @Lastovskis @TV3zinas

From minister's seat to prosecutor's office – decision awaited on charges in Uzulnieks' 3.09 per mille case
Uzulnieks' case has been handed over for criminal prosecution. A decision on bringing charges will be made soon.
Our system is designed to make politicians and parties simply paid workers, executors of the state order, who carry out the formal process. The real 'politicians' can operate freely — media, 'journalists', experts, judges, prosecutors general, businessmen, state-funded NGOs, activists. Everyone can freely promote and preach their metapolitics and politics, just not parties and politicians, who have to do it according to a castrating regulation. At the taxpayer's expense. How else.
From@PabriksPolitical outdoor advertising before elections in Germany reminds of the film 'At the Rich Lady's' and compared to Latvia is very little regulated. Our advertising control institutions would be confused here. Is our over-regulated system superior and gives advantages to democracy and society? https://t.co/CFySVOtMSn
