Uzulnieks' case has been handed over for criminal prosecution. A decision on bringing charges will be made soon.

16408Our system is designed to make politicians and parties simply paid workers, executors of the state order, who carry out the formal process. The real 'politicians' can operate freely — media, 'journalists', experts, judges, prosecutors general, businessmen, state-funded NGOs, activists. Everyone can freely promote and preach their metapolitics and politics, just not parties and politicians, who have to do it according to a castrating regulation. At the taxpayer's expense. How else.
From@PabriksPolitical outdoor advertising before elections in Germany reminds of the film 'At the Rich Lady's' and compared to Latvia is very little regulated. Our advertising control institutions would be confused here. Is our over-regulated system superior and gives advantages to democracy and society? https://t.co/CFySVOtMSn

From@taisniba_comDrawing so-called "red lines" before election debates is complete fooling of voters and political theater. Before the 14th Saeima elections, "Progressive" promised that they would under no circumstances work with the ZZS led by Lembergs. Those turned out to be lies. When the opportunity arose to get to the trough, they agreed with the same Lembergs on Rinkēvičs as President and formed a government. "Progressive" deputies even deleted their earlier social media posts. Quite pathetic. Now again the same @Progresivie are pulling out the same old card and asking everyone whether a government with Šlesers will be formed. This is incredible hypocrisy, because behind the scenes the party cooperates with Šlesers and deceives its not particularly clever voters. @AndrisSpruds hugs Mairis Briedis at the Saeima and "Progressive" puts Šlesers' man and old comrade Nils Muižnieks on their list. Red lines are a pre-election trick to fish for votes from naive voters.

@Krisjanis_K @AndrisKulbergs because Kulbergs decided that you are welcome!
From@Krisjanis_KIf one reads the fascist Russian press, one can learn that the Russians are "softening" on any @AndrisKulbergs government "tariffs" and plan to TRANSSHIP 2x MORE BLOODY GRAIN through Latvian and other Baltic ports than they are able to transship through their own Baltic Sea ports!! Sorry, @MGruskevics but you need to bluff with measure….

From@LV_visiemRespect to the only party Austošā Saule Latvijai that dares to be truly uncomfortable and loudly say - Kremlin parties are Kremlin parties! It is absurd that these Kremlin parties are invited to discussions and put on equal footing with Latvian parties. VDD is sleeping!

From@JurgisLiepnieksI deliberately paused for a couple of days, thought it would calm down, you can't swear all the time, but still I don't know how to politely describe Kulbergs' government decisions on the Russian grain matter. So the Latvian government made a decision to ensure unimpeded transit for Russian and Ukrainian-stolen grain through Latvian ports. Only for show, increasing one of the most insignificant transit cost items, which will still allow Latvia to earn a bit in this common business with Russia. As a result, grain transit will not be stopped, it is and will continue at full speed, we are helping Russians rob Ukraine and get money for war. How????? That is Kulbergs' real policy.

@EMEL_LV @inese_putniece I was already being ironic about that regime.
From@EMEL_LV@poznaks @inese_putniece Not the damned Kulbergs regime, but an example of Kulbergs' new leadership era of being on the ground, closer to people and talking with the nation. As opposed to flying in the heights of arrogance like the nobles of the Vienotība court.

From@KarlisApalupsI already suspected it was suspicious that the Progressives hadn't shown their anti-NBS colors for so long, and BOOM, election epithets come to light. "Namejs in the city center is insecurity for people." https://t.co/gHXZuXF1sY

The National Alliance for a Latvian Latvia! 🇱🇻 Although more than 30 years have passed since the restoration of independence and Latvia has grown and changed, there are still a number of issues in both the work of a Saeima deputy and in the government where Latvian values must be firmly upheld and protected. Our culture, language, security. And these responsibilities are and will remain relevant. Mostly everyone in politics says that of course they support Latvian values, but when it comes to defending them and standing up against threats to Latvianness loudly, maybe even sharply and without any compromises, only NA is often able to do so. I advocate for Latvia's growth based on the interests of our people, the cultivation of our national values, and the foundations of a free, independent, strong state.

Kulberg's eye is twitching. But who chose this government?
🎙️ Pre-election debates continue – this time at the TVNET studio. From taxes and the state budget to health, security, and where Latvia should find money for the next big challenges – very different visions for the country's future clashed in the debates. The prime ministerial candidate of NEW UNITY, @aseradens, defended their direction – responsible state financial policy, security as a priority, and economic growth that generates higher incomes for people. ▶️ Watch the debates: https://t.co/e4nC2USrY2
Warning about a “systemic mess” in Latvia, LPV raises the alarm and turns to Rinkēvičs.
From@ijabsSabotage, drone strikes, arson are becoming our everyday reality. And if many in Europe still think that Ukraine is somewhere far, far away, then Putin's Russia already openly says that it is at war with the 'collective West', as they call it. I think this must be taken seriously. Only united will we be strong. Europe's fragmentation is extremely, extremely dangerous. I think in this perspective the Omnibus is a step in a very right direction. Now, of course, the task is only to implement them. I will remind you what the situation is. 80% of defense procurement is still purely national. Moreover, different countries buy the same product from different suppliers, simply not using common procurement opportunities. Governments cherish their national champions. Licensing is extremely heavy, extremely bureaucratic, also technology transfer, which, of course, ignores Europe's common defense capabilities. Our task after this Omnibus is to see that it is implemented and, secondly, perhaps even more importantly, to ensure that the next multi-annual budget has enough money for common procurement. From this week's debates in the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

LET'S ABOLISH THE MINISTRY OF CLIMATE AND ENERGY Every month in Latvia 1000 people are born and 2000 die. The population is shrinking, but the state apparatus is growing. For example, this Saeima created the Ministry of Climate and Energy (KEM), without whose functions Latvia can do. Its main task is to fulfill the EU climate policy requirements in order to reduce CO2 emissions in Latvia and the world. Therefore, KEM drafts laws that increase the cost of economic activity, natural resources, solid fuel and fuel, to reduce construction, natural resource extraction and the use of internal combustion cars, i.e., the largest industries that emit CO2. However, they are also the largest areas that create economic added value. Latvia must abandon the Green Course directives if they restrict strategic industries and reduce the standard of living of the population by raising the cost of living. Unwanted bureaucrats have no right to dictate the economic rules of an independent state in the name of utopian ideas. The friendly attitude of Latvians towards nature is an integral feature of the mentality, and we can write our own rules ourselves.
