"Austošā Saule Latvijai" program item 39 provides for a specific restriction: We will ban persons who receive or have received financial funds from aggressor states from becoming state officials.

Parents' location in Russia is at least an instrument of blackmail, given that it is a totalitarian state where anyone can say goodbye to life at any moment when it is convenient for the Kremlin. But here Latvia's state power's cowardice has allowed a candidate to receive half a million from a citizen in Russia. The upcoming elections are about fighting to preserve the obvious, not about Latvia's growth. Four years wasted - the foundations are not in order.

Zigmars Liepins's staging of 'Apocalypse' for the Dailes Theatre was short of 15,000 euros. But 'Order No. 2' was not short. That's how far we've come regarding the priorities of JV's long-time member, sponsor, and election candidate Žagars. https://t.co/RbbaouODFX

Dailes Theatre's musical director Vaivods: There's no need to stir that thing up again. It will be better for all sides.

The Council of the Latvian Health and Social Care Workers' Union has decided to maintain the demand to secure a pay increase for all healthcare workers in the 2027 state budget, to organise a protest picket in front of the Cabinet of Ministers, and to demand the resignation of Health Minister Hosams Abu Meri (JV).

@EriksZarahovics Still, someone should tell them to bear it for one more cycle - the situation is too serious to lose nationalist votes! Forming a coalition without both Šlesers and Pro is much more important than new parties receiving state funding but not being elected.

@idontlikesand9 @tikums After the defeat of Kremlin forces in Hungary, this is a real opportunity for them to create division in Europe. The price is too high, and they will use all available resources and mechanisms.

@MaratQasem @tikums it gives the impression that currently all local pro-Kremlinists are like 'off the chain' (if once a dog analogy) and increasingly openly, without brakes, show their true views.

Day No. 80 in the prime minister's chair — 🇷🇺 grain transit and airBaltic Chapter 11 approval. Today two important things. 🌾 1. 🇷🇺 grain transit solution - The government - AS + NA + JV + ZZS - unanimously decided on a solution to restrict 🇷🇺 grain transit, providing for a +300% fee for the use of railway infrastructure. - This is also a response to 🇷🇺's unilateral doubling of the Russian railway tariff since June 1. - 🇱🇻 grain gets 100% priority for our farmers. - Latvian port capacity is freely available for 🇱🇻 grain, and it is already being actively exported through our ports. - The bill is being urgently submitted to the Saeima this Thursday. After its adoption and entry into force, LatRailNet, which sets railway infrastructure charges, will make the necessary changes to tariffs. That will take up to about 2 weeks. - The Ministry of Agriculture and @uldisaugulis have done the work, concluding a contract with 🇬🇧 DEFA for grain testing and laboratory use in cooperation with 🇺🇦. - The 🇺🇦 side has confirmed that Ukrainian specialists will arrive in Latvia as early as next week to help identify possibly stolen 🇺🇦 grain. - We have reached a common position with the 🇪🇪 and 🇱🇹 prime ministers on introducing uniform restrictions on 🇷🇺 grain. We are advancing the grain issue at the fastest possible pace. ✈️ 2. airBaltic Chapter 11 procedure - airBaltic's Chapter 11 procedure in a 🇺🇸 court has been accepted and has already received the judge's approval. This means airBaltic will be able to: 💶 access financing immediately; 🔧 start the restructuring process; 📑 review obligations to creditors. Work continues.

The Prosecutor's Office spends ~10.0 million € on maintaining 1 system (ProIS) for ~400 prosecutors, but stores electronic documents on CD-R, DVD-R, Blu-ray media in case files, not in the system. Because of this 'modern' ProIS, prosecutors are forced to prepare some documents by hand with pen as in the 80s.

Reading those law amendments submitted by SM, there is no mention of the 300% infrastructure fee surcharge mentioned by @AndrisKulbergs. That is also understandable, because the relevant EU Regulation does not allow anything like that at all. So someone is fiddling with something, and possibly there will be no 300% at all. https://t.co/3wWtj6z6jm
