To be clear what I said in Kyiv. That in the event of Russian aggression against NATO, thanks to air superiority, the aviation of the European part of NATO would be able, even without US participation, to destroy half of Russian refineries faster than Ukraine. I still think so.

The budget pays millions to consultants for a pointless deal started by ZZS, JV and Pro, with a total value of many hundreds of millions of euros; I would like to hear why Kulbergs hasn't stopped this yet and why we continue to waste money? Or does he agree with such a scheme? https://t.co/SQfa7rIhcs

@KristapsNot I took out working days at the beginning of weekends, but actually every other one is with work activities, meetings, significant trips with country leaders, so the number doesn't match, but it would have been better to include them.

@AndrisKulbergs Interesting math in your cabinet. Dombrava already has 100+ days in office, but you only have 80. Says a lot. https://t.co/Sl6ufeNb0B

Recently U.S. Army's V Corps members participated in the 603rd Dark Knight competition at Ādaži Military Base, Latvia. The exercise involved competitors providing Tactical Combat Casualty Care at the site of the injury, transporting the casualty to cover, calling in a medical evacuation report and carrying the casualty to a helicopter for evacuation, all while being graded on accuracy and efficiency in their performance. @VCorps is the U.S. Army's only forward-deployed corps, serving as the senior tactical headquarters for Army forces in Eastern Europe to deter conflict and provide combat-ready forces alongside our #NATO allies. V Corps is operationalizing and expanding the Eastern Flank Deterrence Initiative with Allies, rapidly integrating emerging technologies into training and tactical plans. 🇺🇸🇱🇻 #USLatvia #StrongerTogether 📷U.S. Army by Staff Sgt. Yesterday the government allocated an additional 9.85 million euros for regional passenger transport. The need for this funding was known and its allocation was planned to be considered already during the previous government. However, today due to carriers' protest, up to 3000 bus trips may not be fulfilled, affecting approximately 60,000 passengers. These two facts show that the problem cannot be solved only with emergency funding at the moment when the crisis has already started. The rapid rise in fuel prices has further aggravated the situation, but the root of the problem is a poorly designed long-term contract model. Ten-year contracts have not been able to adapt to significant changes in fuel prices, wages, and other costs. The contracts should have provided for regular indexation and clear risk sharing, and carriers, when submitting offers, should have responsibly assessed the ability to fulfill obligations throughout the contract term. As a result, carriers cannot fulfill their commitments, and people in Latvian regions cannot get to work, school, or doctor. My proposal is three concrete changes: - Gradually transition to three-year contracts. The first such contracts were already concluded in 2025. If a carrier cannot fulfill the existing contract, the state must legally agree on its termination and announce a new procurement. - The new contracts must provide for more frequent cost indexation and a separate review mechanism in case of significant fuel price fluctuations. - The state must be ready to get involved in ensuring regional transport where private companies cannot fulfill their obligations. Public transport in regions is a publicly provided basic service. Its continuity must not depend on last-minute political agreement or emergency funding.

Who's the guy who bankrolled Don Jr's wedding in the Bahamas? Umar Kremlev didn’t exist in 2009. A guy named Umar Lutfulloyev did. Late 20s, Serpukhov thug, two convictions — extortion in 2004, beating the shit out of people in 2007. Taxi work, construction, “security.” The usual starter pack. Then he walks into a registry office in 2010 and becomes Umar Kremlev. Cleaner last name. Cleaner paperwork. Convenient. He hangs with the Night Wolves, Putin’s favorite biker gang, and lucks into a friendship with Alexei Rubezhnoi — the man who runs the president’s personal security. That’s the whole origin story. Not a brilliant businessman. A guy who found the right bodyguard. Rubezhnoi puts him in charge of the Russian Boxing Federation. Then Kremlev takes the International Boxing Association, the one the IOC kicked out of the Olympics for being a dumpster fire. Gazprom money shows up. Prize pots get huge. Everyone pretends not to notice the smell. Meanwhile the real money arrives. Putin’s government hands him the sports betting market. His companies end up behind Fonbet, Pari, Liga Stavok. His outfit becomes the single accounting center for every legal bet in Russia. National lottery too. That’s not hustle. That’s the Kremlin picking a guy with a rap sheet and giving him an entire industry because he’s useful and loyal. He even said it out loud: unlimited opportunities thanks to one person, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. So when this guy drops six figures on a private island and fireworks for Don Jr.’s wedding, it’s not “a generous friend who loves boxing and hunting.” It’s a twice-convicted Putin cutout buying access to the president’s kid.

The tentacles of one pro-Kremlin octopus are not separate organisms - Russian NordStream advisor Romāns Baumanis's ex-wife Krista has hugged with the Šlesers person / 'progressive' Muižnieks, Putin's sycophant party's Cilēvičs and Unity's Lībiņa-Egnere. This pro-Kremlin gang is again crawling into the Saeima.

Listened to the new episode of 'Jautājums no provinces' about the 15th Saeima elections. As it turns out, every year LSM is allocated money for creating election discussions, whether there are elections that year or not. The amount per year is about 650 thousand. And then LTV's editorial staff decides that we will not spend the taxpayers' money on ASL, we will spend it on Vienotība. https://t.co/sqkw7naqOR

#AfterAudit we conclude – children's outpatient healthcare in Latvia is a priority in law, but in practice children do not have equal and timely access to services. 🩺 In 2024, the state spent EUR 93 million on children's outpatient healthcare, and families paid at least an additional EUR 14.5 million for paid services. 🩺 Checking 5 children's service programs in regions, in 71% of cases healthcare institutions actually did not provide services to children. For example, a cardiologist for a child was indicated at 12 institutions, but available only at one. 🩺 69% of pediatricians work in Riga. Every day about 350 children from regions travel to Riga to receive state-funded secondary outpatient care. 🩺 There is no unified understanding of which doctors and to what extent can treat children, pediatricians are too little involved in outpatient care, and in some areas competences are defined too narrowly.

Give us the budget, don't ask about Crimea! Stepaņenko promises a lot, but owes answers. The prime minister candidate of 'Sovereign Power' and 'Association of Young Latvians' (SV/J), Jūlija Stepaņenko, will find money for all promises, although full budget packages are not on her table. She is ready to take on peace talks, but says: 'What do I have to do with Ukraine?' She defends a colleague who has recognized Crimea as Russian territory with a story about helping Riga residents. As for the family capital, which includes gifts from her father living in Russia worth almost 420,000 euros, she does not talk about it because it is private life.

Andris Kulbergs (AS): We live on debt, we realistically borrow to the maximum and even then it runs short. The promises that previous governments have made are without financial coverage. We need to find coverage on how to realize them.

Andris Kulbergs (AS) on 'airBaltic': We must find a strategic aviation investor in time so that we, as a state that is not particularly good at managing the aviation business, do not have to take on all that risk again.
