Andris Kulbergs (AS) on 'airBaltic': We must find a strategic aviation investor in time so that we, as a state that is not particularly good at managing the aviation business, do not have to take on all that risk again.

🔹This morning, an interview with Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs (AS) about grain cargo transit, the further future of airBaltic, and politicians' responsibility for their actions. 🔹Musician Patriks Peterson has released a new single “Kādu dienu” and is preparing to release his debut album. 🔹And to celebrate film director Jānis Streičs' 90th birthday, a grand concert performance “Mans draugs Jānis Streičs” is planned. Who's the guy who bankrolled Don Jr's wedding in the Bahamas? Umar Kremlev didn’t exist in 2009. A guy named Umar Lutfulloyev did. Late 20s, Serpukhov thug, two convictions — extortion in 2004, beating the shit out of people in 2007. Taxi work, construction, “security.” The usual starter pack. Then he walks into a registry office in 2010 and becomes Umar Kremlev. Cleaner last name. Cleaner paperwork. Convenient. He hangs with the Night Wolves, Putin’s favorite biker gang, and lucks into a friendship with Alexei Rubezhnoi — the man who runs the president’s personal security. That’s the whole origin story. Not a brilliant businessman. A guy who found the right bodyguard. Rubezhnoi puts him in charge of the Russian Boxing Federation. Then Kremlev takes the International Boxing Association, the one the IOC kicked out of the Olympics for being a dumpster fire. Gazprom money shows up. Prize pots get huge. Everyone pretends not to notice the smell. Meanwhile the real money arrives. Putin’s government hands him the sports betting market. His companies end up behind Fonbet, Pari, Liga Stavok. His outfit becomes the single accounting center for every legal bet in Russia. National lottery too. That’s not hustle. That’s the Kremlin picking a guy with a rap sheet and giving him an entire industry because he’s useful and loyal. He even said it out loud: unlimited opportunities thanks to one person, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. So when this guy drops six figures on a private island and fireworks for Don Jr.’s wedding, it’s not “a generous friend who loves boxing and hunting.” It’s a twice-convicted Putin cutout buying access to the president’s kid.

Lies. TV24 invited me to participate in a program sponsored by LDDK/LTRK, the rules of which would be that Rostovskis and Bite would interrogate prime ministerial candidates. No one informed me about Kulberg's participation at all. Since both named organizations are the main importers of immigrants into Latvia, I refused to participate.

About @partijaMMN everything is clear - if their self-proclaimed leader aka PM candidate, visionary, world-famous director and [unclear word] refuses to come debate with Latvia's current prime minister - thank you and all the best! Continue to live and believe both in Torsiona fields, and tooth fairies, and other scientific achievements and causes of problems and self-proclaimed messiahs!

The state's ever-increasing influence on the economy and the labor market is the main thing that drives people into the gloomy loop of socialism. You depend on your salary, and in state jobs, for most (almost all) there is no opportunity to accumulate capital and break out of the loop. In fact, yes, you are dependent on an administrative economy. Your salary is raised according to a schedule. And that determines how you think, vote, and how motivated you are. Pavlov's reflex. Here is an excellent interview where this phenomenon is perfectly laid out. https://t.co/aERFOhHAhl

There is another reason. If you own nothing, rent a flat from the state, a car from some company, etc., you are easier to control. Plus you don't care about anything. Everyone is equal, they stand up for their rights less and protest against nothing. Those who misbehave get their sausage ration cut. Ah, this concept has been seen somewhere before.

Very simple. The knowledgeable people around me explained it to me quickly, although I already knew it before. Psychology. My content hasn't changed, maybe I just curse a bit less. They've noticed that too. Not the wise ones at Twitter level, but those who know me. And it can't be otherwise, people my age don't change. But as soon as you are even slightly on the side of power, you start being criticized. The higher you go, the more criticism. They started scolding me from the very first days - it works automatically. Pavlov's reflex. I'll cheer you up. Those few months will pass soon and it's quite likely that I'll go back to the private sector. You'll be able to hate less.

@guntarsv You could just as wisely explain why I liked almost all your tweets before you crawled to the trough, but almost immediately after you started pushing hard-to-tolerate crap? P.S. I have no way to inherit, no capital to grow, haven't won the lottery.

No one is laughing, ZZS's guilt is aggravated by the two recent interviews where they lie that their deputies have no problem with alcohol.

@armis22 @instant_mk @anjo_lv I don't understand one thing. You can't laugh at Enģelis because most likely he has mental problems and takes pills, but you like to laugh at alcoholics who most likely have the same problems.

Day No. 80 in the prime minister's chair — 🇷🇺 grain transit and airBaltic Chapter 11 approval. Today two important things. 🌾 1. 🇷🇺 grain transit solution - The government - AS + NA + JV + ZZS - unanimously decided on a solution to restrict 🇷🇺 grain transit, providing for a +300% fee for the use of railway infrastructure. - This is also a response to 🇷🇺's unilateral doubling of the Russian railway tariff since June 1. - 🇱🇻 grain gets 100% priority for our farmers. - Latvian port capacity is freely available for 🇱🇻 grain, and it is already being actively exported through our ports. - The bill is being urgently submitted to the Saeima this Thursday. After its adoption and entry into force, LatRailNet, which sets railway infrastructure charges, will make the necessary changes to tariffs. That will take up to about 2 weeks. - The Ministry of Agriculture and @uldisaugulis have done the work, concluding a contract with 🇬🇧 DEFA for grain testing and laboratory use in cooperation with 🇺🇦. - The 🇺🇦 side has confirmed that Ukrainian specialists will arrive in Latvia as early as next week to help identify possibly stolen 🇺🇦 grain. - We have reached a common position with the 🇪🇪 and 🇱🇹 prime ministers on introducing uniform restrictions on 🇷🇺 grain. We are advancing the grain issue at the fastest possible pace. ✈️ 2. airBaltic Chapter 11 procedure - airBaltic's Chapter 11 procedure in a 🇺🇸 court has been accepted and has already received the judge's approval. This means airBaltic will be able to: 💶 access financing immediately; 🔧 start the restructuring process; 📑 review obligations to creditors. Work continues.

That is the classic understanding of justice. People always put their personal wallet first. The highest level of justice is when you get more and the best - all the world's money. Envy is especially motivating - redistribution advocates cite as an anchor argument 'because he has more'!

@guntarsv What exactly seems fair to you there!? That is money for which taxes have ALREADY been paid. It is an even more shameless way of skimming money than capital gains tax and tax on lottery winnings.

Currently it has been reduced by 4 cents. The state budget already has a hole, which reduces the possibilities to finance even the health sector. Next year and the next 3 years, the budget hole is in several billion euros, someone will have to cut it off. The minus only gets bigger. Riches, believe? Those 4 cents do not solve anything individually, the rise in fuel prices is determined mainly by global processes. Can be torn down further, can even divide the country into Lenin's logs. What will we gain, where are we going? Quo vadis? Me, me and mine!

@guntarsv Why can't the excise tax on fuel be reduced? It is paid even before VAT...
