Today on LTV1 @VL_TBLNNK business card. Support for families is crookedly contrasted - where will the money come from? For a national state and Latvians, 'positive' demography and rising birth rates are as important as strengthening security. Ambitions for budget spending must be equivalent, i.e., 5% of GDP.

Germans in 2025 have paid approximately 3 billion EUR for electricity generated from solar and wind parks that was not used, because German grids cannot accept such a volume; they are overloaded. From every German's wallet - 36 EUR for unused electricity. Current legislation stipulates that wind/solar park owners are entitled to compensation even if the produced electricity is not further fed into/absorbed by the grids. As German energy experts put it, such parks are being built so rapidly that German grids cannot keep up. To prevent such squandering of taxpayers' funds, the current government is promising legislative changes that would (re)solve this situation. https://t.co/cowXGMHo6X

Emissions obligations for Air Baltic in the amount of 42 million are a blatant example of how the European Commission undermines Europe's competitiveness in the world.

A German political scientist asks: “If all Western countries have the same problems with a certain type of migrants and their culture... maybe the fault lies not with the countries themselves, but with the migrants and their culture? Just asking”. Europe’s suicidal migration policy. They’ll still write books about it.

"The situation in Ukraine is changing rapidly, unfortunately in a direction unfavorable to the Republic of Poland. This especially applies to the fact that Ukraine currently has 110 ground forces brigades that can halt Russia's advance with great effort. Will we replace this potential? Poland in the short term, up to 180 days, can deploy 25 brigades, our European allies - no more than a dozen. A peace treaty on Russia's terms could mean the 'neutralization' of Ukraine's potential, which cannot be replaced even in the medium term. Over the next six months, a destabilized Ukraine, for example under pressure from American allies, might try to 'exit the war' even under uncomfortable conditions. If this scenario materializes, we will face a weakened, internally destabilized, and embittered country. Moreover, it will come into conflict with Poland due to historical policy and real interests. Under these circumstances, especially before the Polish elections, there is a real risk of increased tension between Kyiv and Warsaw. The alternative is continuation of the war, but with the weakening of Ukraine, and an increasingly radical Russia that crosses more 'red lines', including attacking targets in neighboring countries." https://t.co/69kuxe4y2o

“We cannot deny that health issues and also fertility are at a much lower level than they were years ago. And also that families choose to have a child later. [..] Artificial insemination is one of the ways to help families both get a child and then also contribute further both to Latvia and to building a full-fledged family model for themselves,” said Ilze Indriksone (NA) on the program “Party in Focus”. #ChooseLatviasFuture #Elections2026

Following my proposal, it has been decided that starting from 2027, information on procurements carried out by the state and other public institutions must be published regardless of the transaction or contract amount. Transparency helps promote responsible management and reduce the risk of wasteful spending.

@karlisknauss @liana_langa That's right.

@AndrisVelps @liana_langa Most Russians are able to communicate in Latvian, but many choose to be principled, deliberately 'putting Latvians in their place', mocking them by purposely not answering in Latvian! Latvians must be smart and vigilant, and not answer in Russian!!! This is a vivid example of why not to do it!

No wonder Estonia is so Russified and Tallinn is full of the Russian Federation's language. krievIgaunija... Even during the occupation Estonia was more Estonian, but the liberal ideology, unfortunately, has muddled the understanding of the role and importance of language. What the communists could not do, the liberals accomplished in 30 years... https://t.co/t5z6d7J9eH

The court sycophant of Unity is now a security expert.

Are we in Latvia safe against a conventional Russian invasion? Short answer: safer than ever. We have ensured a historically large allied presence — Latvia hosts a combat-capable brigade of 15 nations under Canadian leadership, and similar forces also protect Estonia and Lithuania. While Russia is stuck in the war in Ukraine, it lacks the capacity for a new conventional invasion.

@AtlasDynam1cs Budanov knows who the "rat" is.

The previous defense minister, the progressive Kremlin agent Andris Sprūds, repeatedly asked for a meeting with Budanov and was refused every time. What does that indicate? https://t.co/zMpZJE4uMV
