From@janisdombravaAlready last week, the Ministry of the Interior did everything and offered to review a comprehensive immigration restriction plan at the September 15 Cabinet meeting. The Prime Minister's promise is to review the immigration restriction plan at the September 22 Cabinet meeting. Let's stick to this promise. Latvia needs to act to close the schemes through which immigrants are legalized in Latvia.

From@JanisIesalnieksI really wouldn't want to be able to write so hopelessly about Latvia in a few years. In the late 1980s we were already close to the edge of this abyss, because of the brought-in occupiers. If we don't throw the Progressives and their "more moderate" like-minded people out of politics, the Swedish scenario will repeat in Latvia. https://t.co/lU1wBbRAyN

From@AndrisVelpsWe, Latvians, must learn from this. The current Saeima parties have been too generous in granting Latvian citizenship to various foreigners for all sorts of 'special merits'. As I have already said - no foreigner will ever truly care about preserving a Latvian Latvia. They will never care about the Latvian language and our culture. Under the leadership of the current Saeima parties, thousands of third-country immigrants have already flowed into Latvia and will continue to flow. Only 'Austošā Saule Latvijai' offers to stop immigration from third countries! These same parties will eventually be 'forced' to start granting citizenship and voting rights to these newcomers. We still have time to stop it now. But will time remain after 4 years? Do not throw away your vote in the elections and protect a Latvian Latvia - vote for list No. 12 'Austošā Saule Latvijai'! Inconvenient for the powers that be - needed for Latvia!

This dilemma is known, it would take a long story like 1001 nights, but Milbank and Cobalt have combed through this in detail. My ears have wilted and I have little interest in legal intricacies. You are superficially/technically right, there is no automatic enforcement in Latvia, but in real situations (SAS restructuring as an example), local TAP or insolvency may be triggered, and in SAS's case it was with a 2-year delay.
From@maris_sprudsChapter 11 is not binding for Latvia. Anyone can currently file for AirBaltic's insolvency in a Latvian court. I urge you to listen less to AirBaltic officials and consultants, who are doing everything possible to get the decision on AirBaltic's fate outside Latvia, where they feel like a fish in water and will be able to pay themselves huge fees, misleading about prospects.

Then it's even worse. So - the Prime Minister has nothing else to do and he composes sheet-like texts for social media 😱. The Prime Minister's office obviously is not fulfilling its duties and does not fill the agenda with more state matters. For example, how to reduce budget expenditures by 850 million EUR and reduce state debt. When will AS have an offer on this issue?

From@Latvian_MFA📞 Foreign Minister @Braze_Baiba held a phone call with China’s 🇨🇳 Foreign Minister Wang Yi to discuss the search for 33 Latvian 🇱🇻 nationals who remain missing following the devastating floods in Nepal and China’s Tibet Autonomous Region. We are deeply saddened by the loss of life and devastation caused by the floods. We extend our deepest condolences to the families of those who have lost their lives and to all those affected by this tragic natural disaster. We stand in solidarity with the victims and their families. Rescue and search operations are ongoing. From@AinavaP@austsaule you need to sue LTV in court. Let the court decide whether that talked-about 2% barrier, surveying 1034 people in a survey without all party names, is a good measurement to deny a party, formed by Latvian citizens who pay taxes, the right to express themselves and offer a vision for the state!

From@patmalnieksjThe use of artificial intelligence in politics should have limits. This text is a complete, unedited AI product. I'm not saying it shouldn't be used. It's a good tool. However, presenting it to voters uncritically as one's own writing is, in my view, unacceptable. https://t.co/SUGTKbxcAi

From@K_Krumholcs🇱🇻🇯🇵 The strategic partnership between Latvia and Japan is steadily advancing to the next stage. In Riga, Foreign Minister Braže and Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Eri Alfia held talks, discussing specific future cooperation in security, economy, innovation, support for Ukraine, etc. During this visit, in addition to bilateral political consultations, Latvia hosted the 6th Japan-Baltic Cooperation Dialogue. 🇱🇻🇪🇪🇱🇹 and 🇯🇵 dialogue and cooperation are becoming increasingly broad and practical. As Europe and the Indo-Pacific become more connected, I hope to turn this momentum into even more concrete cooperation. 📷Laura Celmiņa / Latvia MFA

📣 I represented the National Alliance at the “Women's Cooperation Network” talk, where we discussed how to build life in Latvia. I stressed that security and demographics are our main priorities. In my opinion, the National Alliance has the best-developed demographic programme. It has 4 clear directions: 👨👩👧👦 encourage families to have children; 🌱 nurture children until adulthood; 💼 keep young people in Latvia's economy; 🏡 bring our own back home. The National Alliance stands for concrete and tangible support for families: 👶 a child-care benefit of €600, indexed annually; 💶 increasing the family state benefit — starting at €100 for one child, €300 for two children and €600 for three or more children; 🩺 real free health care for all children; 🍲 at least one warm meal a day in schools and kindergartens; 🏠 affordable housing for young families; 🤝 strengthening the father's role in the family. ⚖️ It is equally important to prevent the emergence of inequality allowed by the government led by Mrs Siliņa. We do not support an identical tax-free minimum for everyone. It must be larger precisely for families with children, so that the support is fairer, more targeted and felt in the family budget every day.
