From@katrinailjinskaFor ten years, SIF has been giving money to media "outside the scope of the law" or in other words - illegally. And I didn't make it up - this is pointed out by PwC, lawyers, and previously mentioned by the State Audit. https://t.co/ZytqAuVXzq

From@n_karklinzLSM's Domburs will interview only 8 out of 14 party leaders, because according to SKDS polls they have not reached 2% support. Since when is a private firm SKDS allowed to regulate elections?

@ancetetere @DavidsZalans Regarding public name-calling, I personally addressed the ethics committee about the specific case. And this person is no longer only on the board, but also in the party! So everyone is responsible for their own violations. Also Dāvids.
From@ancetetere@lindberga22 @DavidsZalans Seeing how your own board publicly calls mothers sinners - it's hard to imagine that Dāvids could sink even lower and be expelled. These are strange values you have there.

From@janisdombravaIt is possible to save approximately 200 thousand euros in the construction of the sports complex! One of my priorities is to prevent wasteful spending in the internal affairs system. The Police College has long needed proper sports infrastructure, but I was not satisfied with the costs. The State Security Agency together with colleagues from the State Police College carefully reviewed the project and created solutions to save almost 200,000 euros, which will be directed to other goals related to the State Police College to improve the study environment. We will create a solution so that young police officers have the opportunity to closely follow the further construction process on the college territory for training purposes, representing state interests. The planned stadium construction works will start this autumn, and the internal affairs students will receive the new infrastructure facility for use in the spring of 2028. Within the framework of the construction of the State Police College sports complex, it is planned to install four running tracks, open sports fields, and stands with auxiliary rooms. The new sports infrastructure will provide a higher quality study environment that meets modern requirements and needs, while also promoting the improvement of physical fitness of both State Police College cadets and State Police officials.

@VisockisJuris The opposite. First the masses must be educated. So that 50+ of those who will vote for a technically feasible thing are elected. Technically, that is called a budget. I have a plan, but it is unpopular. So far only Argentina has implemented it.
From@VisockisJuris@guntarsv In what courses? You don't need to educate the masses! You need to reduce wasteful budget spending and the deficit! BY ANY MEANS and ALL RESOURCES, because you currently have power. WHO will do it and WHEN, if those in power find it too hard?

From@AlvisHermanis1When Rinkēvičs appointed the well-known blogger and influencer Kulbergs as prime minister, he calculated everything correctly. There is no better candidate to: 1. preserve power in the state for the JV and the “Šķēle camp” consensus; 2. give Rinkēvičs a second term; 3. keep the rules unchanged; 4. create an illusion of mighty reforms for single people until Oct 3.

From@ZelenskyyUaUsmanov and Fridman are exactly the kind of Russian business figures who need to find the courage to take concrete steps against the war. This is exactly the kind of Russian economy that should not be given additional opportunities while the Ukrainian economy is suffering from Russian terror and Putin’s refusal to stop the war. With 500 “shaheds” a day, this is certainly not the time to even begin the discussion about easing sanctions – especially sanctions against individuals about whom no one can say how exactly they have helped protect lives and reduce Putin’s ability to continue the war. We need to keep up comprehensive pressure on Russia for its war. Strengthen sanctions against Russia instead of weakening Ukraine! I thank everyone who is helping! (3/3)

From@maksymeristavi"The West could have realized that the soldiers in Bucha who, it has been reported, raped an eleven-year-old boy and tied his mother to a chair so she could watch are those very same heroes of great Russian literature: ordinary Russians, the same as 100 or 200 years ago. Russian literature is also responsible for the formation of those people. … This, in fact, is a model for all Russian literature, which is still considered European and humanist: Russian literature has, for 200 years, painted a picture of the world in which the criminal is to be pitied, not condemned. We should sympathize with him, for “there are no guilty people in the world” (Tolstoy again). Everyone is ready to cut his neighbour’s throat, it all depends on the price. This is “Russian humanism”. And if you accept this thesis, then congratulations – you’ve welcomed the Russian army into your home."

Both are happening. The bases were reduced by about 50 mio already before us. And it continues. Next year around 300mio. Which has already been eaten up by politicians' truly unchanged spending demands. Very healthy appetite. Indeed. But all this is largely pointless. Who will respond to my call to FINALLY go to courses?
From@VisockisJuris@guntarsv About revising and reducing functions, various governments have been talking for 10 years, NONE DO IT. When will they get to it, if every year they drag the chatter and scaremongering to September and then there's no time to analyze?! WHEN will we start stopping waste and overspending, WHEN will the finance minister start reducing the bases?
