On Sunday, Latvia will celebrate Father's Day. We will talk more about its significance in 'Rīta Panorāma'. Afterwards, we will report on a corgi walk that will take place in Riga for the fourth year. But in a conversation with EU Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis (JV), we will focus on European economic resilience and support for Ukraine.

From@citskovskisjHopelessness takes over listening to the Riga election district discussion on LTV about responsibility in state administration. Nothing will change. Politicians will again push everything onto officials. They will punish, dismiss, and rotate. When will there finally be a statesman who takes responsibility for their decisions? For the bridge over the Daugava, for Airbaltic, for demographics, for inaccessible healthcare. There isn't one, and it seems there won't be. The 'geniuses' of legal science have created a system where those who implement decisions are held accountable, not those who make them. The wood industry case is a clear example. At least the Order of the Three Stars is deserved by the one who decided that LVM officials should be held accountable for implementing a government decision. But not those who made that decision. And then politicians still mumble that no one takes responsibility. How can such a state administration function? Leaders are needed who will change this. Who are ready to take responsibility.

What, please? 3500 employees - 2 billion costs?🤡 Maybe someone in the prime minister's family could take away his Twitter? https://t.co/4ohJ8BLuMg
From@AndrisKulbergs@ivchix Actually, I said that the entire state apparatus, 3500 employees together, costs €2 billion, not savings, pointing out that it is not a large sum compared to state procurement and other cost items.
