From@pucejOECD PISA data on Latvian 15-year-olds' knowledge and skills are not 'alarming', as Indriksone says, but tragic. 20 points in this ranking is about what can be taught in one school year. So Latvia's education system has taught 15-year-olds on average: 1) mathematics - 2.5 school years less than Estonia and 0.5 school years less than Lithuania; 2) science - 3 school years less than Estonia and 1 school year less than Lithuania; 3) reading - 3.5 school years less than Estonia and 1.5 school years less than Lithuania. In total, our 15-year-olds know on average about 3 school years less than their Estonian counterparts and about 1 school year less than Lithuanians. This is dramatic and requires immediate change.

💅 Rosļikovs' party sent to the debates a girl born in 2004 who works at a beauty salon. What happened afterwards is known to everyone, but let's look at this situation from a different viewpoint. 🤷🏻♂️ We have already discussed several times the debate episode when Violeta Drozdoviča from Rosļikovs' party was unable to answer a simple question: is it true that Crimea is Russia-occupied Ukrainian territory? That she is a pro-Kremlin supporter, like all her party members, is clear without further discussion, so let's not waste time on it. ❗️ However, this raised several other aspects of interest for me. Violeta was born in 2004, when Latvia joined NATO and the EU. In fact, she is as old as our country's membership in these two institutions. 💶 All these years the state spent enormous resources on the integration of the occupiers and their descendants, and here's the result — a girl born in the 21st century who cannot agree that Russia has occupied part of Ukraine. 🤯 You see, Violeta herself and her behavior in the debates do not interest me particularly. I am very concerned about the huge problem with disloyal Latvian youth who are coming to replace the previous generation — the generation that experienced the Soviet Union. 😵💫 These pro-Kremlin people have not only not experienced the USSR — they don't even remember Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga and Valdis Zatlers as presidents. ⚠️ It is no longer possible to turn a blind eye to this crisis — it is a question of the diagnosis of our society. It is time to admit that integration has failed, that all these integration funds are ineffective and do not yield the desired result. And the sooner conclusions are drawn, the better — before the generation that in its lifetime has not experienced lats and santīmi comes in place of these pro-Kremlin people. 🔥 Separately, of course, it should be noted that after 12 years the question "Who owns Crimea?" has still not lost its relevance. That is not surprising. Crimea is the point from which the big war began, and the point where Putinists' arguments collapse to this day. 🤔 Admitting the occupation means admitting that Russia has violated international law and the Budapest Memorandum. Not admitting it means accepting the logic "might makes right". There is no third honest answer. So a person either says it directly or starts avoiding the answer. 🤦🏻♂️ And in conclusion, I will add that the party "Stabilitātei!" itself is obviously in a sad state if they already have so few people to send to the debates that a girl who recently finished school and works at a beauty salon has to go there. That of course says a lot, considering that this political circus will be represented in parliament for at least another month and a half. ❓ What do you think — is this the failure of one party and a specific pro-Kremlin woman in the debates, or a diagnosis of the entire integration system? #vatņiki #stabilitātei #vēlēšanas #debates #Krima
@n_karklinz She once also talked about a zero budget. It's just a pity that these ideas are infinitely far from reality.

From@Mikipele6@tikums Perhaps that is exactly why there is talk of some mystical 300% tariff increase on the transit of Russian bloody grain, well aware that it is fiction and in reality the government is not legally entitled to do it at all. But the government can very easily completely stop that business.
