The Progressive mayor is actively working on attracting investments, reducing heat tariffs, unprecedented new trams, completing street repairs by September? I wanted to you, just bites and then then while you still sleep it off… https://t.co/DabEobrVpy

Do you also think that Russian sounds more? Yesterday I was in the forest, Spice, bank, shops - mostly only Russian, and everywhere service providers speak their language with them. Young people in Latvia cannot get a job if they don't know their language, so they emigrate, but instead they bring in Uzbeks...

Tonight I watched @Nekapersoniga Am I the only one who thinks that Sprūds might be a Russian spy and therefore deliberately sabotaged Latvia's national defense capabilities!🙄

The Progressive mayor of Riga. But well, of course, good that he doesn't move on all fours.

More than one former Latvian Russian writes that the decision to move to Russia was the best decision! And it certainly is! Everyone should live near the roots of their ethnic origin; in Latvia, Russians have no such roots! #RunāLatviski https://t.co/xSA4m4izJv

Here only the last vote remains and that's it.

No. The Saeima's 'couple of minute votes' are not advantageous. It is advantageous to drag things out for several months, or until circumstances force a vote.

As I write - everything is already done, only a few minutes of voting in the Saeima is needed.

@AndrisVelps @EdvardsSmiltens @Apvienotais_ Honestly, without SK there are many, very topical things that need to be cleaned up. That, of course, does not mean that SK should not be denounced at the first opportunity.

@EdvardsSmiltens from @Apvienotais_ in the debates clearly said that he will not support the denunciation of the Istanbul Convention, making excuses with other, supposedly more important work. There is no 'hard work' there - one vote, and we forget this Trojan horse!

Glad to see this story being given the coverage it deserves. Not least because @pcaruanagalizia, Daphne’s son, was Tortoise’s star reporter for many years. But more importantly because it’s a morality tale of where political corruption leads: to murder & impunity in the very heart of Europe.

Air defense remains a pressing issue for us, even though the skies over Kyiv are quiet today. But this is not a normal way to live – depending entirely on one person who started this war and continues to terrorize us. This should not be happening in the modern world. We have grown stronger on the battlefield, and this allows us to be more confident in future discussions with the American and Russian sides, whatever the format. We must do everything possible to ensure that trilateral meetings take place. We shall see what Russia agrees to. Unfortunately, it still feels too confident today to consider one format or another. Our weak point is anti-ballistic capabilities. We will grow stronger. I will have meetings in both Norway and Canada. We must develop our own Ukrainian anti-ballistic system. In addition, the American side will increase production of anti-ballistic missiles for Patriot systems next year, and we are counting on this equipment to protect our country. From the press conference. (1/3)

My heart is united with the suffering of the people of #Ukraine, who have lived in anguish and fear for years. I renew my appeal to put an end to the violence, halt the destruction, and open hearts to dialogue and #peace! I hope that the efforts undertaken in recent days to resume negotiations will bear concrete fruit and make room for diplomacy. Let us #PrayTogether to the Lord that concord may prevail in every conflict throughout the world.

In the West - which the Progressives like to invoke - such a mayor would resign himself. Of course, in the West, where this plague has not spread. https://t.co/4BDPM3xYCB

After the government's hundred days, the coalition's honeymoon is now over. In recent weeks, disagreements between Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs (AS) and ministers from other parties have become increasingly frequent, often accompanied by quite sharp public rhetoric.
