The case with the dogs is something terrible and such situations must not happen again. I feel for the victims and their families. Wishing a quick recovery! I will follow up to ensure that the PVD procedures regarding aggressive animals are carried out in accordance with the seriousness of the situation. https://t.co/EKdbvHxRKa

Yesterday, on September 5, a serious incident occurred during a walk of the preschool "Riekstiņš" pupils, in which six children were injured. A group of 19 children, accompanied by a teacher and a teacher's assistant, had gone on a previously agreed walk outside the educational institution's territory, following the approved walking route. During the walk, two unsupervised dogs approached the group of children from the end of Lašu Street. According to information provided by the institution, six children were injured in the incident, two of whom were hospitalized. One of the teachers accompanying the children was also injured. Four administrative violation proceedings have been initiated in connection with the incident. The Food and Veterinary Service (PVD) has been informed and will take action within its competence regarding the assessment of the dogs. The municipality is cooperating with the police, the Food and Veterinary Service, and other responsible services to clarify all circumstances and assess necessary further safety measures. After the police's procedural actions, the dogs were handed over to their owner. https://t.co/xHOtQmRb3g

The value of the state's earlier investments is, in my opinion, zero. Long ago. For years I have analyzed the company in detail and justified it with data from AB's own published reports. For example, that finances run out at the beginning of this year. That's what happened, so the previous government gave 30 million and flew on, that has also been publicly acknowledged. Additionally, at the beginning of the year they published statements that in autumn more would be needed, around 300 million. They would come to the state. They tried, but the government is different, no more handouts. What to do now? The Prime Minister announced that further 'rescue' cannot be only on the state's shoulders. I agree, the aviation business is generally unprofitable, if the state is a participant, then it is basically loss-making (because the state is by definition a bad manager). That was said in this few-month period. No more budget handouts. The task is clear, we will implement it. Now there is a transition period. If private parties give money, then okay, we fly on. They gave, but they could have not given. I think without that the lights would already be out. The state only came to meet by recognizing the remaining investments as worthless. SP Global recognized a de facto default. That was the good will, they practically no longer paid anything. Now what? Now we wait for the test result. After all the worthless political blathering, the moment of truth arrives. Will the bird fly on its own or not. We can only watch and hope.

I understand the essence of the scheme, and the new creditor's interest in it too, but where and why is there Latvia's state interest and willingness to freely give in? The only thing I can think of is a scenario where we already know that by resisting this we will definitely get absolutely nothing, but by giving in maybe something will also bounce back to us. Is the direction of thought correct (from the perspective of the state as the current shareholder)?

To help voters make a critical and informed choice in the 15th Saeima elections, Latvian Television offers a program cycle 'Party in Focus' that will provide a comprehensive insight into party programs and their offerings. Based on SKDS public opinion survey data, the cycle will feature political forces that reached at least 2% support in early August. The second episode focuses on the party 'Latvijas attīstībai'. #IzvēliesLatvijasNākotni #Vēlēšanas2026 https://t.co/0l62o11Gf8

Starting from the situation with inheritances from the previous government – 'Air Baltic' and 'Rail Baltica', and ending with pensions and pay for deputies… We had a heart-to-heart talk about such a wide range of issues with entrepreneurs and seniors, meeting in Talsi. Thanks for the meeting and the constructive conversation! https://t.co/iQOLdTNUia

No, it's not funny, but logical. https://t.co/fxgJ1maNqd

A bit odd that Kulbergs makes funny videos in the evenings and comments on all sorts of trivialities, instead of what he promised to fix - how are airBaltic and RailBaltica doing. Under this scenario, the state will have lost practically everything. Owners: * Polus & Klirmark 60% * Bondholders 30% * State 10% https://t.co/YAJcH0Egqs

Latvia needs a law like Lithuania's that prohibits service in third-country languages, parliament to adopt a Declaration on preventing the consequences of Russification and to adopt the law 'Ensuring the Status of the State Language.' Vote for @VL_TBLNNK and me - number 6 on Riga's 5th list! https://t.co/V8OEWHNIYL

Andris Kulbergs' (AS) government has completed 100 days this week. If for others it's just a warm-up, then for Kulbergs' government the finish or at least the intermediate finish is already soon – the Saeima elections in less than a month. Then voters will show – whether this prime minister and this composition deserve trust and permission to continue. 🖥️ https://t.co/nOiszG33Js

@AndrisVelps If children are created for the sake of benefits, we are in trouble!

How good it is that we have Kulbergs' government, and Hermanis' non-party party fell apart already at the beginning! Otherwise we would have accidentally voted for some Vītols, who by counting 27K teachers with 5K policemen and 8K army personnel gets a whole 300K, who devour the terrible billions https://t.co/Rpf2gDyGA0 https://t.co/UfEJQMHULL

31 years ago we founded Air Baltic, only to now pay another 30 million for the fact that from 88% the state will own 10%. Thanks to Siliņa, Linkaitis, Briškens, Švinka and of course Gausa🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲 https://t.co/ISVGFGrCV

@Lato_Lapsa @AndrisKulbergs @guntarsv The dream has been over for a while. Under this scheme, the state will only keep about 10% only if it lends another 30 million euros, which will later be converted into capital. Due to the negative equity, the current state shares will most likely be written off or diluted. Without new money, there won't even be 10%.
