From@MarisKucinskisA real step to reduce bureaucracy – at my proposal, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to abandon the separate Public Benefit Commission. From now on, the evaluation of organizations will be fully carried out only by @vid_gov, which already now collects and analyses the information needed for decision-making.

That has nothing to do with a locomotive. Mutual crossing-out (internal competition) so that one can climb up oneself. This can be shown with high confidence mathematically. For example, the simplest is to take candidates unknown to the public and calculate the average number of their minus votes (separately in each district). Unknown candidates will be crossed out mainly only by competitors and their friends/relatives. This average can then be subtracted from everyone. It will give a truer picture (the 'mutual settlements' removed).
From@MarisKaminskisIn the 15th Saeima, AS: 16 of 41 deputies are elected with a negative voter vote; 16 deputies have more (-) than (+). 'The locomotive principle' in a proportional electoral system. https://t.co/12PgYT1yrK

From@Baltic_TakesAugust Hanning was head of Germany’s foreign intelligence service under Gerhard Schröder during the period in which Berlin got hooked on Russian energy, with Hanning backing Nord Stream 1. Days after Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Hanning publicly argued Western arms deliveries wouldn’t make much difference and said he hoped “normal relations” with Russia could be restored soon. After the Nord Stream explosion, he quickly and baselessly made accusations about Polish and Ukrainian responsibility, and suggested Germany should seek compensation from Poland and Ukraine. Hanning has also previously smeared Latvia. He joined the supervisory council of Norvik Banka, later PNB Banka, which subsequently collapsed. Its insolvency administrator later brought a €32 million damages claim against former board and supervisory council members, including Hanning. During the process, Hanning publicly made sweeping allegations of corruption about Latvian officials and institutions. In later arbitration proceedings, an international tribunal said he made unsubstantiated claims. He has today been arrested on suspicion of espionage, attempted treason and obtaining state secrets.

Will Melnis run for a position in the newly formed government?
The government has agreed to give the "basics of family health" an ideological orientation.
From@TRobinsonNewEraInvader who tried to climb into the Israeli embassy in London carrying two knives has been found jailed for 20 years. Abdullah Albadri, 34, arrived via dinghy 16 days before the attack. He'd already been deported once before. Absolute joke. Get them all out! Absolute joke! https://t.co/Q9suj8SmXx

From@amjadt25Britain is so safe that America, Britain’s friend, moved a dozen B-1 aircraft away from there, while the Iranians who were plotting a terrorist attack are NOW FREE on bail on London’s streets, with good lawyers to fight their case. They will be called activists, like the Muslim Brotherhood in Britain.

From@Lato_LapsaSuch an interesting detail in connection with the former head of the German intelligence service detained on suspicion of espionage - and former member of the Norvik/PNB bank council - Hānings: I wonder whether our “services” have noticed his links with, say, comrade Jurašs, General Čerņeckis, who quietly left the Finance Ministry this summer, or this interesting Herr Barals who has long been wandering around Latvia?

@VirtuvesSarunas @armandsbrants @tv24_lv @presesklubs No worries. Everyone has their own motives for their choices. AS's overarching goal has been achieved with interest… nuances/personalities +/- etc. are of secondary importance 👍
From@VirtuvesSarunas@CerinsAivis @armandsbrants @tv24_lv @presesklubs I admit, I also crossed you out, @CerinsAivis. Reason: I couldn't get to Riga to vote for Kulbergs, so to give Kulbergs a better election result, I crossed out the entire AS Vidzeme list. I voted FOR Kulbergs, not AGAINST you. Nothing personal. ;))
