From@J_Hermanis10 years ago, he was pushed out of the German-speaking cultural sphere because he openly expressed his opinion on refugee policy. Others who thought similarly were afraid. But over time, it turned out he was right. Current German politicians are now even harsher in their statements on this topic. I guess I missed it - has some official, state-level or EU-level ban been adopted on transporting Russia's bloody grain in transit? Or is someone here simply engaging in idle talk again, having realized that the public is completely satisfied with that? https://t.co/71WmW4IGyK
From@TVNET_zinasPrime Minister Andris Kulbergs (AS) has ordered an inspection of the origin of transit grain in Latvian ports, the LETA agency was informed by the Prime Minister's adviser on communication issues Elīna Šverna. https://t.co/B6TZkXnGDJ

Russia threatens Germany with restoration of the GDR as relations between the two countries deteriorate rapidly.
Great to return to #NATO Defense College to address senior military leaders from 34 Allied & partner nations. NATO is the strongest defence Alliance in the world. We must further invest in defence, restrict Russia’s influence, and sustain support for Ukraine. https://t.co/6WI09HzRrC

From@ArlietasForeign Minister @Braze_Baiba participated in the informal EU 🇪🇺 foreign ministers' meeting, i.e. Gymnich, where she emphasized that Russia's threat to Europe, including the drone attack attempt at Leipzig airport, is state-sponsored terrorism. From@ZelenskyyUaIn Odesa, emergency services continue working at the site of a drone strike on an apartment building. Damage to apartments from the 10th through the 17th floors left 17 people injured, including three children. Efforts are also ongoing to deal with the aftermath of the strikes in Obukhiv and Boryspil districts. The necessary number of State Emergency Service rescuers are fighting fire at a pharmaceutical company’s warehouse. There were also strikes on Nikopol, Kherson, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Khmelnytskyi. Overall, 13 regions sustained damage last night alone. In many cities and communities, air raid alerts practically do not stop because of the threat of Russian jet-powered drone attacks. The enemy has not gone on vacation – the Russians have found a new way to escalate, and they have no intention of slowing down. We need a stronger response, more countermeasures, and faster defense production with Europe – above all, air defense against missiles and drones. Europe can be self-sufficient and strong – much has already been done toward this in recent years – and only by being this way can it protect itself and its way of life. Every day, we work with our partners on new defense packages. Thank you to everyone working for our common defense. Thank you to everyone helping Ukraine.

The government's 100 days is a milestone when we look back at what has been done - an important moment for this government, with a very short tenure. The list of accomplishments in the Ministry of Agriculture is long - starting with the reduction of VAT on food and support for farmers, ending with significant relief in communication with the state and municipalities - in simpler terms, significantly reduced bureaucracy also in matters such as cutting dangerous trees on one's own property.

@J_Hermanis yes, I completely agree. Thanks
From@J_HermanisI am skeptical about withdrawing from the 2nd pension level, because then the only old-age 'cushion' would be the 1st level, which will become increasingly thinner due to the demographic situation. To make people trust 2PL more, we could consider improving its returns, matching risks to age groups, reducing management fees, or similar. In some cases, early withdrawal from 2PL could be economically justified (for example, for medical treatment to restore work capacity, repaying high-interest loans, reasonable investments, or similar), but it is impossible to say how large the respective population groups are.
