No, these are universal principles in educated societies with wise leaders - regardless of the length of the mandate or short-term, business or political environment. What matters is the ability to work together cohesively toward common goals. This is in no way compatible with sandbox-level mutual squabbles. But here one must remember that AS is not that far from JV. There are plenty of currents here, among which symbolic was @AndrisKulbergs' decision to appoint the deputy of Dzintars Zaķis, a semi-criminal, political schemer, partner of the Zilupe mafia boss, as... Minister of Justice. A symbolic testament to @Apvienotais_ and @AndrisKulbergs' attitude toward the Republic of Latvia.

@LieneCipule In an institution, company, and other types of organizations, this works. But in government, no. The fight against sudden proposals that are undiscussed and unevaluated has been going on for a long time. And NA and ZZS are champions of such proposals. If they don't understand otherwise, then they need to be rapped on the knuckles.

A contract has been signed for the transfer of US government-provided drones and thermal optics to the State Border Guard! The Ministry of the Interior and the State Border Guard have close cooperation with the US. This cooperation has results - the US will hand over drones and thermal optics to the State Border Guard, which will provide additional capabilities to monitor Latvia's eastern border, detect threats in a timely manner and react faster. Latvia's external border is also the external border of NATO countries. Its protection is our common security interest. Thank you to the United States for practical and concrete support for Latvia's security! 🇱🇻🇺🇸 @USEmbassyRiga @VRS_gov_lv

It is pointless to constantly look for excuses why Latvia should bring in migrants from third countries. Don't! In Denmark, Netherlands, Germany, Sweden and other countries, problems with them started decades ago. It is very proper to watch, learn and avoid this huge mistake.

It is pointless to compare with Denmark. They have a completely different social support system - which among other things can promote parasitism. Also the employment threshold is high. Without qualifications and licenses, an immigrant doesn't get a job at all. These arguments should be substantiated more seriously. https://t.co/RGo88LwL1p

Economy 🤝 justice Latvia's economic growth and competitiveness are closely linked to entrepreneurs' and investors' trust in the state's legal environment. An investor must have confidence that their rights will be effectively protected. That is why today I invited entrepreneurs, representatives of the judiciary and the financial sector to a discussion, outlining future work directions: ✅ speed up the examination of civil cases and prevent deliberate delays in litigation; ✅ promote judicial specialization and uniform court practice; ✅ make greater use of digital solutions and artificial intelligence; ✅ strengthen mediation and other alternative dispute resolution methods; ✅ reduce unnecessary bureaucracy and procedural burden. The rule of law is not an obstacle to business. An effective judicial system is one of the most important competitive advantages of Latvia, so I will continue working so that entrepreneurs in Latvia can rely on a fast, high-quality and predictable court process! 🇪🇪 Warmly congratulate Estonia's newly elected president Illi Madisi! Latvia and Estonia are united not only by a border, but also by a common understanding of what kind of Europe we want to build - safe, democratic, and capable of standing on its own. The strength of our countries has always been in our ability to act together, especially at moments when choices matter far beyond our borders. Palju õnne, President-elect Madise! 🇱🇻🤝🇪🇪

But you, Georg, have many things in common with Arvil.. 😀 https://t.co/tOfs4ADGAb https://t.co/HhsGQmmx8t

There are 2 things that are common to all those who shout that Rail Baltica has neither cargo, nor passengers, nor economic, nor military justification - 1) they are all closely linked to Russian business interests; 2) none of them has the slightest experience or understanding of the EU railway system.

Germans have identified two men - from Belarus and Latvia (!) - who are responsible for the drone attack (which thank God failed) on Leipzig airport against (Ukrainian) planes. Both also have Russian citizenship. The man with a Latvian passport was reportedly responsible for the logistics of the attack and acted as an instructor. He arrived in Berlin at the end of July by plane, rented a car and went to Saxony. Two days before the attack itself, he left (flew out) Germany again. The Belarusian had previously come to the attention of security authorities in the Baltics. He entered the Schengen area, receiving a visa at the end of April from the Italian representation in Minsk. https://t.co/s3jV1BUhLy

@IvarsAuzins With such a mandate, arguments that one cannot do this or that would naturally disappear immediately. In coalitions that is objectively not possible.

Is it true that Kulbergs will have 51 seats in parliament and no coalition will be needed?

In ancient times, @RigasDome had a rule that street, sidewalk, etc. repair works were planned so that they would be finished before the start of the school year. And there was a big explanation if something didn't work out. For several years this approach has been somehow abandoned, but it would be worth restoring it.
