Practically everyone expects the government to save everyone. That it is even capable of doing so. That's why we must cry as loudly as possible. Surely they'll give money. Every day I see delegations of criers. But there is an objective thing. There really is no money anymore. And there won't be, as before and until now, when they gave. Because there simply is no money anymore. Everything is allocated and spent. For example, today I sat in a meeting where they cried and gave speeches. That if they don't give more, then we'll shut down health care. Then let survival laws win! Trade union and other representatives at Brīvības 72 held a meeting. Heartbreaking speeches. When the speeches ended, Hosams said that that's why we are here, to solve. I said this - if we continue to cry, then survival laws will really win. The criers will leave first. Next year they need 729 million for the health sector, taking it away from others! Yes, they probably meant to liquidate the education sector. That's the 'other'. There's a billion and 200 million a year. Schools, sports, liquidate everything. I listened to the speeches, turned on the calculator, divided 700 million by the number of workers. And I offered. Each crier at the table (they have normal to very good salaries) - we pull from our own pockets and pool into policies. About 80 euros a month. And in general the only solution is to finance the shortfall ourselves, because state reserves are exhausted. Completely now. The tax base has long been overspent, we have to borrow. After my remark I was forced to leave the criers, because I had to go to another meeting, where they discussed something more important - the funeral date. There the money has also run out, the coma apparatus is working. As a society we want 2 things. Low taxes and state-paid services as in paradise. Well, socialism doesn't work, it doesn't. But only a few seem to understand that anyway. In vain have I been telling this here for years.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE NEPAL TRAGEDY. Current as of 1.09. A Ministry of Foreign Affairs employee has departed to Nepal to carry out coordination work on site to help the families and relatives of the 33 missing 🇱🇻 citizens (earlier information of 43 has been clarified). Yesterday @Braze_Baiba spoke with the Nepalese minister, full support for 🇱🇻, everything needed. From China there is silence for now after the note was sent and the announced call, but today more information may be available. 30 closest blood relatives have provided DNA samples to the State Police, which are being digitally provided to Nepalese rescue services. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs convened a coordination meeting on 31.08 for state and municipal institutions, defining the range of issues where state and municipal support, involvement, and assistance will be needed if those missing in Nepal are not found, for their relatives: childcare, social assistance, education, health care, and other areas. Representatives of responsible state and municipal institutions will soon prepare useful practical information, which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will then pass to the relatives of the missing, inviting them to contact the relevant institutions. The MFA met by VTC with Israeli experts on victim identification and issues. The MFA met with NGO representatives ready to provide support.

Foreign Minister @Braze_Baiba: It was a genuine pleasure to meet, together with the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 Foreign Minister Ed Miliband, a broader circle of European countries and Canada representatives. We agreed to work together to strengthen European security, support Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression, and act against Russia's state-sponsored terrorism.

Foreign Minister @Braze_Baiba on the September 2 EU ministerial meeting in Ireland 🇮🇪 🇪🇺: 🇱🇻🇨🇦 We will cooperate with Canada in searching for missing people in Nepal. 🇺🇦 Faster and more frequent sanctions against Russia, without waiting for the next big package. 🇩🇪 Full solidarity with Germany after Russia's sabotage at Leipzig airport.

Illustration of how very good life is in Lithuania right now. I read the press review, a colleague said: "something has begun that many have not yet noticed". I ask what it's about. It turns out it's about inflation. It has reached 5.8%, compared to Latvia's 2.9% in August, according to Eurostat preliminary data. If one can fail to notice such inflation, then the party must be very big and loud. Make no mistake - the party will have consequences.

Families across borders have been affected by the catastrophe unfolding in Nepal and China. Canada and Latvia are bringing our resources in support of the broader search effort, because moments like this demand countries work together wherever we can make a difference. Thank you, @Braze_Baiba, for Latvia’s solidarity.

How can one not promise!!! During Unity's rule, the number of births has fallen from 22 thousand to 12 thousand per year, the child birth allowance has increased from €421 to €600, while the electric car purchase support has increased from €0 to €4000, and the prime minister's salary has almost quadrupled. https://t.co/9awzlk4lkM

@gatis_auzins You are some kind of toxic representative of a patriarchal society, who thinks that a woman cannot be a victim? Progressive people without nationality say that there is gender equality.

OPERATION - SAVING BUTANS (NA) Members of the National Alliance knew very well that their party's deputy Artūrs Butāns was stained with transport compensations, as the largest recipient. A focus shift was needed 'to overtake'. Then a victim was chosen, a woman from the Progressives - Leila Rasima. Thought - done! Anonymous and others started to tear apart, even dragged the whole family through social media, but a few days after the aggression, it turned out that Butāns was the largest recipient and possibly in reality he does not even drive to Liepāja and back every day. A month has passed and everything fell into place - Rasima is clean, but what about Butāns?

Today I was at the meeting of the Saeima Legal Committee. There wasn't even the slightest hint that the government of the Republic of Latvia is now different and that the coalition has changed. In the work of Judins and some committee members who have been stuck in the Saeima for too long, arrogance, incompetence and pre-election populism were observed. The worse - even despite the change of the Minister of Justice, the officials of @Tieslietas were the same - appointed and pampered by the incompetent ministers and officials of JV, who don't even understand 4th-grade arithmetic and operations with brackets and give the minister absurd formulas to sign directly into legislative drafts. Is there really so many in the the legal community who haven't mastered elementary mathematics and logic? What's going on, @Saeimas_JK

Over the last two months it has been interesting to watch how often Kulbergs is asked to explain, answer, appear, justify and account. This is done by the opposition, which is understandable, but also regularly by the government coalition partners themselves. As elections approach, this tactic becomes more pronounced. Obviously the calculation is simple: the more the prime minister has to justify problems, the more it will cost his party in the elections. But it will be very interesting on the morning of October 4 to see if this calculation was correct. Sometimes, focusing too much on weakening a competitor can have the opposite effect. By repeating for two months that exactly one person must answer for nearly everything happening in the country, it may cause the voter to start perceiving that person as the one responsible for the country. Especially if the legacy left behind before was sad. We'll see. This time the elections will be quite an interesting experiment.

Another story - @KNABinforme finds no evidence. 😅 Who expected otherwise? That's why apartment and fuel compensations should be cancelled for all deputies. Salaries are high. Let them pay everything themselves. Progressive Rasima wastes budget funds. https://t.co/4z3P48Yfhq

The uneducated migrants from India and other countries, whom 'New Unity' and 'The Progressives' are bringing into Latvia, will only bring new tragedies and the degradation of respect in human relationships. They have no place here. Let them live in their own mess of India, Uzbekistan, and Pakistan!

In the championship of shameless scoundrels, these would have no competitors.

🎯Demography is one of Latvia's most important challenges today, and New Unity has a clear proposal on how to address it. 🗣️At the DELFI debates, the parliamentary secretary of the Ministry of Health, Līga Āboliņa, discussed demography, health policy and the necessary solutions. ➡️Listen to the debates in full: https://t.co/gvkCHHIeAp

A contract has been signed for the transfer of US government-provided drones and thermal optics to the State Border Guard! The Ministry of the Interior and the State Border Guard have close cooperation with the US. This cooperation has results - the US will hand over drones and thermal optics to the State Border Guard, which will provide additional capabilities to monitor Latvia's eastern border, detect threats in a timely manner and react faster. Latvia's external border is also the external border of NATO countries. Its protection is our common security interest. Thank you to the United States for practical and concrete support for Latvia's security! 🇱🇻🇺🇸 @USEmbassyRiga @VRS_gov_lv

Our infamous beak @KNABinforme has been very “creative” this time and introduced new terminology! Instead of “non-detection”, this time the simple-minded beak “has not obtained evidence” in the case of the shameless progressive deputy Rasima's compensation fraud! https://t.co/aWYLNVSDVe

❗️ DEBT - Latvia's debt counter keeps spinning faster. Finance Ministry documents show - by 2029 the state plans to borrow at least another 8 BILLION euros, and total state debt could approach 30 billion 🤯. 💁‍♂️ Calculated per inhabitant, that's approximately 17,000 euros per person - from a newborn to a pensioner. 💶💶💶 But the main question remains - HOW WILL WE PAY ALL OF IT BACK? 🤷‍♂️ AINĀRS ŠLESERS
