@JanisIkstens Show at least one prime minister's burned taxpayer euro related to the airline. If you don't know how to calculate, then you'd better keep your mouth shut.

In a short period of time, the second illegal cigarette factory has been closed. Not only illegal immigrants, but also organized crime have faced difficult times. I thank the Tax and Customs Police and State Police employees for their professional work, as a result of which this factory was discovered and its operations were stopped. The Tax and Customs Police, in cooperation with the State Police, has stopped full-cycle illegal cigarette production in an active phase. This is already the the second factory of this scale discovered in recent months. 18 people have been detained (citizens of Ukraine and Moldova), who have been subjected to a security measure – custody. By stopping the operation of this factory, damage of several million euros to the economic interests of Latvia and the European Union has been prevented. A criminal process has been initiated under Section 221, third part of the Criminal Law, and the pre-trial investigation continues.

@KalninsK @PuukjisIN @lastguru_net @akberzins @Oslejs @airBaltic @Rigassatiksme_ Dear Kristaps! The source is my efforts to get to Frankfurt and London over the years. I even flew to London twice via Helsinki, because Finnair had a cheaper price than Ryannair, not to mention AirBalic, whose ticket cost 2x more.

@AnsisPupols @PuukjisIN @lastguru_net @akberzins @Oslejs @airBaltic @Rigassatiksme_ Mr. Pupols, could you please provide a reference to the source where it is proven that 'on average more expensive than Lufthansa or Finnair'? And a question, do you understand how the air ticket price is formed?

Europe has industry, energy, defense industry, pharmaceuticals, financial sector, infrastructure and a huge internal market. Our problem is not a lack of ideas or capital. The problem is a fragmented capital market and insufficient ability of companies to scale up. In a Financial Times article “Europe, the secret outperformer,” European companies' cash flows and profits are analyzed, pointing to an interesting advantage: Europe's market is less dependent on a few tech giants. Europe's next big project must be a truly unified financial and capital market. European savings must fund the growth of European companies much more. A company starting in Riga, Tallinn, or Lisbon must be able to attract capital and grow across the European market, not move to the US to obtain the financing needed for growth. This is especially important for Latvia. Our capital market is still small, and bank loans dominate corporate financing. Broader access to all-European capital would mean more competition for financing Latvian companies, more investment, and better opportunities for our companies to grow beyond Latvia. A unified European market cannot be fully unified until we also have a much more unified European capital market.

@NaurisVizulis @airBaltic The wet lease, to my great surprise, is 'bad' over the course of a year - one can sense what a 'good deal' Gauss struck under the then Ministry of Transport leadership.... When I saw this, I couldn't believe it.

🚋 The municipality invests in @Rigassatiksme_, compensating social groups for the difference between the actual and set ticket price. Plus we also have to consider that most passengers don't pay for their ticket at all. For example, pensioners. One could ask Riga residents for five euros for a day ticket and 12 for a night ride, which is what it actually costs. But then no one would ride the tram. Those who have money would use Bolt, those who don't would push the Riga City Council with all its deputies into the Daugava. The problem with @airBaltic is that you have to pay on average more for a ticket than with @lufthansa or @Finnair, and the state still has to make up the difference.

So the burning of taxpayers' money continues. Contrary to Kulbergs's own promises. Another story about mouth flapping. https://t.co/sDePyAMLaO

Solvita Gulbe on trust towards entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs are heroes because they do not 'feed' from state funds, but themselves create value. By reducing state intervention in the private sector, entrepreneurs' trust in public administration will increase, and the Latvian entrepreneurial spirit will be unleashed more. https://t.co/QaQoebH5ZW

As a minister, I am ready to defend the border guards who work on the border in these dangerous conditions – if they use any kind of force against these illegal immigrants, I have no objections. This statement was made by Interior Minister @janisdombrava @VL_TBLNNK in the TV24 programme “Nedēļa. Post Scriptum”. You can watch the full recording of the minister’s statement tonight on TV24 at 21:03. https://t.co/B6UukVRa5V

@MartasTante Not needed - except Valainis, who is already 2 times a week late with the TET/LMT report, where I want to cut his real proposal - somehow forgot to bring it. Will have to write a new resolution.

Hello, @AndrisKulbergs? Please explain, why is all this needed?! https://t.co/R022wyQAj9

@Aigars1972 very precisely described - that is exactly what is being implemented right now. This has nothing to do with pre-elections. AB must be critically sorted out before them. Otherwise it would be yet another €100 million loan from the state with no real chance of recovery. Currently the state gives nothing

Reflections on @AndrisKulbergs moves regarding airBaltic. So, what's happening: 1. Thanks to V. Dombrovskis's appointed Gaus and the JV/PRO-communists, AB's value is minus 400 million and debts 1.8 billion, so >400% bankruptcy! 2. Bankruptcy means minus 2% of GDP and numerous millions in unemployment benefits. A major recession in the economy, etc. 3. If creditors can be scared with the loss of all money, offering as an alternative additional lending + AB shares, then it might work. 4. If the State as a creditor offers 30 million from its side, setting an example to others, it could even work and the other creditors lend proportionally more, which could also pull the project through. 5. In other words, if it's not a cheap pre-election show to avoid bankruptcy until the elections, then cautious support from me, because all other alternatives are even worse. 6. In the medium term, the state should sell all its remaining shares, recovering at least a little of what was lent. The state really has no business in aviation, as it always ends up with just flying ministries, nothing more!

In this whole @airBaltic saga, I want to ask @AndrisKulbergs - does the wet lease 'project' for a single aircraft come out with a plus or minus sign over the year? Because previously everyone praised how profitable it was, today it suddenly turns out that winter is the problem. But (Summer profit) > (Summer + Winter costs)?

@Nodusgordius @CSDD_LV @Apvienotais_ a submission has already been filed with the prosecutor's office

@AndrisKulbergs @CSDD_LV @Apvienotais_ When will there be a criminal process against board and council officials???🤔 At minimum, there was criminal negligence that caused extremely serious consequences, if not deliberate sabotage or high treason!
