Thank you; I already thought at the time that the reproaches against the President of the State were unnecessary (the issue was widely covered in the media), because it was all organised by Brēmanis, who was an official state official, and there was no reason not to trust him. The President's Chancery does not have to check people for possible future criminal intentions. I am not a lawyer, but I believe that an advance of trust is necessary when a person works in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, thus represents the state, and thus one trusts what he organises. They fired him later, if I remember correctly.

@ArnisRG You don't need 3,000 for each. There were 43 candidates in Riga. 3,000/43=69. Each candidate's relatives/friends chip in 69 minuses for the other 42 (all). Total 3,000 minuses for each. Completely realistic.

A horrific strike by two Russian drones on a civilian vessel in neutral waters carrying corn and owned by Türkiye. Azerbaijani and Indian citizens were on board. As of now, unfortunately, we know that the ship’s captain was killed. My condolences. The fate of one other person is still being established. Eleven crew members were rescued, one of them injured.
Ukraine has repeatedly proposed concrete steps to de-escalate the situation and ensure security in the Black Sea. There have also been relevant proposals from third countries. But Russia consistently chooses terror and sinking civilian vessels instead of normal maritime navigation. Pressure is needed to restore global food security. And everyone who is genuinely interested in this must help.
