One could believe it, if they weren't lying that the Progressives tore it out of context on Tuesday. AS had never answered whether it would go into a coalition with LPV, and Kulbergs was still messaging LETA on Monday: 'What the voter will decide, we'll see on October 3, and then we'll repeat this conversation.' But Šlesers was 'evaluated positively'. https://t.co/s1noNncMxV
@irLV That reform was criminal, specifically designed to make it easier to get consent for the big centers to dispose of the outskirts of the regions. 'We Change the Rules' will allow the abolished municipalities to be restored, whose residents want it.
What did your region gain or lose from the municipal reform? Five years have passed since the municipal reform. The promise then was clear: stronger municipal competitiveness, less inequality and lower municipal costs. But it also had many critics. 'Ir' journalist Ieva Jakone examines whether the reform was successful. Read her article for free! 👉 https://t.co/NOqtnRsjyo#SIF_MAF2026

Today there was a stormy Saeima Defense Committee session on 'golden visas' in exchange for real estate. I don't know why the president wanted the Saeima to review it again. After all the bad experience we've had here with trading TUA within the framework of Šlesers' program. Yes, this time Russia was not offered, but there was the CIS, etc. At the session I proposed rejecting this proposal, which the committee also did.

Doubling the state family benefit and improving housing affordability in the regions are conditions that will help families lean toward having children, believes Artūrs Butāns (NA).
We want everything, but all of that will need money, says Edgars Tavars (AS), emphasizing that without an economic breakthrough none of it will be possible.

“Let's let the little people who work go out,” emphasizes Ainārs Šlesers (LPV), calling for all individual merchants or small businesses to set a 10% income tax without bureaucracy and involvement of VID.

Arvils Ašeradens (JV) states that as soon as possible we must transition to a health insurance model, which, in his opinion, would be the only way to let people understand – what and in what order – they would be entitled to.

We need to have a conversation on the Right about how full of shit Russia is. There are at least 10 Americans that our own government has confirmed are being held under harsh conditions against their will in Russian captivity. This week, Russia finally released ailing former U.S. Marine Robert Gilman. The man who came home was a shadow of himself: emaciated, frail, clearly starved and denied proper medical care the entire time he was locked up by Russia for 4 YEARS! Reports said he even asked President Trump to make sure a cheeseburger was waiting for him when he got on the plane to return to the US because he was starving. That’s not “detention.” That’s deliberate mistreatment and torture of an American citizen by Russia under Vladimir Putin. What kind of “ally” does that? What kind of country jails American citizens, starves them, and withholds basic healthcare, and then expects us to smile and pretend like everything’s fine? Some folks who claim to be on the right, including people like Candace Owens @RealCandaceO and Tucker Carlson @TuckerCarlson, have spent a lot of time telling their audiences that Russia is somehow this based, Christian, traditional, high-functioning society with great healthcare and values that we as Americans should admire. In May of this year, Candace literally traveled to sanctioned Russia where she spoke at a state-sponsored conference, and upon her return, she was spewing propaganda for Russia, specifically with regards to how amazing she thinks their healthcare system is. That story doesn’t survive contact with reality. It’s a lie. Just look at the physical condition of U.S. Marine Robert Gilman. If you’ve followed my reporting from Ukraine and if you watched my interview below, you’ve heard the firsthand accounts from Ukrainian POWs who came out of Russian captivity. They describe systematic beatings, starvation, and daily torture. Those aren’t liberal talking points. Those are the words of men who lived it. The same system that treated them that way is the one that held Robert Gilman and still holds many other Americans in captivity in Russia today. Russian propaganda is working overtime, and too many people on the right have swallowed it up because it feels good to stick it to the establishment. But, the facts matter. A regime that locks up our citizens, starves them, and denies them medical care is not our friend, not our partner, and sure as hell is not our ally. Russia is not America’s ally. Russia is our enemy under the leadership of Vladimir Putin. PERIOD! @SteveWitkoff@jaredkushner@POTUS@SecRubio are we going to pretend like Vladimir Putin is such an amazing guy while 10 other US citizens are still being held in captivity in Russia? The entire plane should’ve been filled with the remaining American citizens who are being held hostage in Russia. Putin is not a good guy just because he released one American citizen that his officials tortured and mistreated in captivity. WATCH 👇🏻
Expenditures must be reduced by 500 million and austerity measures must be carried out at the expense of the central government, says Viktors Valainis (ZZS).
