Expenditures must be reduced by 500 million and austerity measures must be carried out at the expense of the central government, says Viktors Valainis (ZZS).

Artūrs Butāns (NA) states that the state must set migrant quotas, otherwise currently the quotas are set by the migrants themselves, and also must revoke residence permits for those who have been repeatedly administratively punished.

If Edgars Rinkēvičs were ready to run for a second term, Edgars Tavars (AS) would invite colleagues to make such a decision. Andris Šuvajevs (PRO), however, noted that 'Progressives' should always consider the possibility of putting forward their own presidential candidate.

The path to reconciliation begins with a conversation! 🗣️ Justice is not only punishment. Justice is also the opportunity to turn responsibility into change. Today in Victory Park we launched the “The path to reconciliation begins with a conversation” campaign by @Tieslietas and @probacija and a large-format street art piece created especially for it. Why is it important to talk about this? Because society's attitude shows a significant contradiction. 📊 89% of Latvia's residents believe that after an offense a person should be given the opportunity to change and live an honest life. 📊 84% believe everyone deserves a second chance if they have taken responsibility for their actions. 📉 However, only 32% believe that the majority of probation clients are motivated to change their lives and not repeat the offense. Meanwhile, 53% see public condemnation of probation clients. These numbers raise an important question – do we really believe that a person can change after a mistake? An offense is not simply an everyday mistake. One must take responsibility for what has been done. But responsibility does not mean only serving the punishment. It also means acknowledging what was done, listening to the victim, reducing the consequences of the offense, and doing everything to ensure the offense is not repeated. Because our goal is not only to make sure a person receives punishment for what they did. Our goal must also be to ensure they never repeat this offense again.

The State Police has detained a drunk driver who caused an accident, an Indian citizen without a valid driver's license, who was staying in the country illegally. The person continued to stay in Latvia despite having an obligation to leave the country. Problems are visible in the mechanisms for monitoring foreigners who have an obligation to voluntarily leave Latvia within a specified time. The mechanisms will need to be improved.

In Latvia, among the Baltic states 🇪🇪🇱🇻🇱🇹, the labor tax burden is again the highest at all wage levels; it needs to be reduced to promote business competitiveness and reduce the shadow economy. However, to afford reducing the tax burden, the state must cut its own expenses, give up unnecessary functions, and stop distorting the economy with its excessive intervention. “Mēs mainām noteikumus” proposes to solve this 🔧 by performing a general cleaning 🪣 🧹 🫧 in the public sector 🏛️.

The majority of the Legal Affairs Commission does not support supplementing the Criminal Law with Article 115.2. Economic activity alone is not a basis for automatically exempting from criminal liability for causing harm to nature.

📄 Employers support the idea of introducing a centralized exam in natural sciences, because quality education is one of the most important prerequisites for the country's growth. 🗣️ 'An exam is not a punishment. It is not an obstacle. It is a quality measurement tool. If results are not good, that is not a reason to abandon the exam. It is a reason to act. What is not measured cannot be improved. Objective data, in turn, gives the opportunity to make informed decisions – both about teacher training, and about improving the content of education, and about resource allocation,' @KasparsGorkss 👉 Read more: https://t.co/Kib7iDqz9Y

@LapinsGirts @NA_Riga So now it seems to be long working hours and no days off. Working as actively as ever. 🤭

Received an order to attack those who mistreat immigrants, received an order to attack NA and AS. Spriņģes and Re:Baltica have never investigated Vienotība and the Progressives, all their misdeeds with airBaltic, railBaltic, Briškens's piles in the Daugava, Sprūds's interesting activities at the Ministry of Defence, Evika Siliņa's and Kariņš's flights, etc., etc. Is that really investigative journalism? Is that really journalism? Or are engaged “journalists” through interesting funding sources?

How do you say 'bezpreģels' in Hindi? Which Indian god or deity is responsible for bezpreģels? That it's blue, with a trunk and 16 arms is clear, but maybe there's a specific word, Vadafaka-Vadafaka, or something like that? https://t.co/XyD8lifNju

The leftist progressives will immediately shout: 'But locals also drink and drive!'' Yes — we already have our own problems, which drag on from the occupation era and need to be solved — why do we also have to 'voluntarily' import crime and chaos from other countries? Only by lucky coincidence were our children and families not on the sidewalk and bike path when a drunk migrant crashed at high speed into the gas station area. Immigration is rapidly increasing the number of crimes and making our streets dangerous. https://t.co/6dIzNv4Tbr

... in the existing scope” Briškens's curse has been passed on and now resides in JV's Kozlovskis. Well, basically, he contains several Briškens and even 3 or 4 Švinkas. https://t.co/rWcCBFK8NW

The main route of the railway project 'Rail Baltica' in the first stage in Latvia is planned within the existing scope, which provides for creating a cross-border 'Rail Baltica' connection from Lithuania to the Estonian border, as well as completing construction works at Riga Airport and the southern part of Riga Central Station, in order to enable connecting 'Rail Baltica' with the existing railway network, Transport Minister Rihards Kozlovskis (JV) told the media on Wednesday after the thematic committee meeting on the implementation of the 'Rail Baltica' project. The minister stressed that this is a first-stage solution for the project and that the idea of the 'Riga loop' does not disappear. 'We would like to look differently, but it is 2026 and we have to think rationally,' the minister stressed.
