Great idea, but it definitely won't be depoliticization, given that NEPLP members historically are elected according to party quotas. https://t.co/h5ZtyZJWXk

The Society Integration Foundation must be depoliticized because political governance does not yield good results. The Media Support Fund should possibly be handed over to the National Electronic Media Council, Culture Minister Nauris Puntulis (NA) said in an interview on the program "Rīta Panorāma". 🖥️ https://t.co/cfSuNCnFqK

With a 300 million unsustainable debt and a base of seized assets? No one would buy. First, the bond debt must be dealt with - it must be restructured, reducing both the total amount of debt and the interest payment. An alternative for bondholders - technical default and legal protection process. Such a process cannot be ensured without the active participation of the main shareholder (the Latvian state).

@pucej We all know the conclusions, but what to do next? I would put it up for auction in winter with a starting price of 1 euro, and let someone pick it up.

Prime Minister Kulbergs is obviously deliberately spreading disinformation again. ❗️Air defense equipment was purchased and no rounds were forgotten. This concerns specific equipment – interceptor drones from the Latvian company Origin Robotics, which we tested and started purchasing already at the end of 2025. To fully integrate them into air defense, explosives need to be added. Such a task was given to the NBS to reach a solution together with VALIC and the commercial entity. And a solution was also reached. In parallel with the use of the army's available resources, an agreement was also concluded on specific supplies from an international supplier. I also clearly indicated the task to the NBS – equipped equipment had to start being deployed on the border already in April.

Time to expand the national import ban from Russia and Belarus, because we still import too much. To legally ban food imports, we supported amendments in the Cabinet to the Agricultural and Rural Development Law. For insight – in the first half of 2026, agricultural products worth EUR 24.9 million were imported from RU and BY into Latvia. EUR 18.3 million in agricultural and feed products and EUR 6.6 million in food products. https://t.co/bQpNJGBF0D

There are currently 1.3 billion young people aged 15 to 24 in the world – the largest generation of young people to date. Their voice and participation are crucial in shaping our shared future. This year's International Youth Day theme 'Different circumstances, shared aspirations' reminds us that no matter how different young people's daily lives are around the world, their aspirations and readiness to engage are a powerful driving force for positive change. Latvia supports youth engagement in decision-making at both national and international levels. Young people are not only tomorrow's leaders – they are important partners in strengthening peace, security, and democracy already today. @UNyouth_Latvia 🇱🇻🤝🇺🇳

@EStalbergs @IZM_gov_lv All necessary changes have already been discussed with experts and the industry and adopted in a timely manner, fully respecting the specifics of the industry.

@aseradens @IZM_gov_lv Arvil! What prevented you, New Unity, from adopting these changes by May?

Currently we see a stable but technical government — functions are being performed, there is a lot of public discussion, but on the big issues we expect much more active action. Read more at https://t.co/p3BvA7G4hn

🗣️LDDK Director General @KasparsGorkss on NGO funding: “The state must create a transparent NGO financing infrastructure to ensure that public funding is used efficiently and to achieve the set goals. Regular monitoring by an independent institution is needed, as well as sanctions in cases where funding conditions are not met. Transparency is a prerequisite for public trust in how state money is used.” 👉 Listen to @Krustpunkta https://t.co/dt0VlNjAb9

In Latvia, among the Baltic states 🇪🇪🇱🇻🇱🇹, the labor tax burden is again the highest at all wage levels; it needs to be reduced to promote business competitiveness and reduce the shadow economy. However, to afford reducing the tax burden, the state must cut its own expenses, give up unnecessary functions, and stop distorting the economy with its excessive intervention. “Mēs mainām noteikumus” proposes to solve this 🔧 by performing a general cleaning 🪣 🧹 🫧 in the public sector 🏛️.

Do many doubt that Andris Sprūds, participant of Putin's Valdai Discussion Club, supporter of Latgale's separation from Latvia, hater of Latvianness, is a Kremlin agent and should be prosecuted for treason against the Republic of Latvia? @Armor266413 In the case of Progresīvie, this has particularly severe consequences, because – what happens when you only know 'want to help refugees', 'free Palestine', and 'peace, love, save chickens' guys and gals.

@E_Stendzenieks That is not progressive, but the result of friend and acquaintance clans working everywhere. In all fields. Result - incompetence.

@IZM_gov_lv, by proposing to radically change the fundamental principles of the education system, is dragging the government's work in a populist slush direction. This is about a system with more than 223,000 students and 26,000 teachers. Such decisions should be made by May, not before September 1. https://t.co/zHSjOlqaIx

Shouldn't the State Security and the Prosecutor General's Office evaluate @Progresivie's actions in the Ministry of Defence in accordance with the Criminal Law provisions on endangering state security and inaction of officials? Systematic gaps in national defense can no longer be written off as mere incompetence.

@gatis_auzins Your Progressives with Unity have made such a 'mess' there that it's hard to imagine how to solve the airBaltic problem. https://t.co/qpNuaKiZq2

I think airBaltic must be preserved. If there is no money, then raise public transport ticket prices, which is also subsidized with hundreds of millions every year, that is, saving Air Baltic at the expense of public transport subsidies. Because if airBaltic is brought down, this will be a catastrophe. The airport will also go downhill afterwards, and not only that. Of course, Kulberg and the nationalist shouters will be clapping and rejoicing for a while, but this will be a big, big catastrophe. Someone will buy it all up at bankruptcy price. But Kulberg will have gone down in history forever. In general, I am beginning to think that Kulberg's premiership looks like another statement of the facts of problems (well, we all already know those facts), reporting them, but there is no action to solve them, absolutely none! There is no point in harboring illusions: with the airBaltic bankruptcy, that comfortable air travel will end. It will no longer be the way we are used to, like school holidays and not only; that's how we all fly. For example, I don't travel by train or bus, I don't need them, but I subsidize them. That is also an argument if someone, in turn, doesn't fly with airBaltic but is forced to subsidize it.

There will come a moment when government ministers, responsible Saeima committee deputies, and also the wider public will put together the facts that Latvia for over a decade has been one of the main gateways for tobacco smuggling in the European Union (from Belarus) and that now Latvia is a convincing 'leader' as the door for organized illegal migration in the Baltic states.
