16823Reducing VAT alone will not solve anything. It is only part of the solution. If we want real results, it must be a policy for the whole country, not just a priority of the Ministry of Economics. The Saeima must be involved and broader tax relief must be achieved. We will not achieve results with half measures. https://t.co/LEazpq4NxC
From@LRZinasThe fall in food prices in July this year reduced inflation, but the fight against price increases is not over yet, economists said, assessing the latest inflation data. In August, annual inflation will rise again, economists estimated. https://t.co/RQVSuJmbUC

From@RihardsKolsEU regulation allows member states to redirect part of the available EU fund financing to projects such as, for example, 'Rail Baltica', but in Latvia the question is about political will. About that and much more - in this @ltvzinas 'Rīta Panorāma'.

The regulations state how points are awarded: https://t.co/jyj5gus0TY I haven't seen the protocol, and that's the point of the program - politicians don't get involved, don't take an interest, and don't express opinions about the applicants. I think the protocols are not restricted and can be requested in writing.
From@katrinailjinska@martinsstals Please publish the audio protocols from the meetings where it was decided who gets what and how much, so we can all listen to what principles the points were awarded on.

From@ChristopherJM.@FT Editorial Board: European partners such as Spain and Greece should donate Pac 3 interceptors to Ukraine. The US should confirm and go ahead with granting license to Ukraine for Patriot interceptor production. France and Italy should accelerate SAMP/T NG deliveries and expand interceptor production. Ukraine and its allies should tap defence start-ups to make mass-produced, lower-cost interceptors. Ukraine's allies should do more to help target and destroy Russian missile production and launch sites. https://t.co/x02QZAlzGB

Today, on Latvia's Freedom Fighters' Remembrance Day, we honor all who won and defended our independence 🇱🇻. Our freedom and state were not given to us, we fought and won them. The August 11, 1920 Peace Treaty signed in Riga paved the way for Latvia's de jure recognition. https://t.co/efaCyhYbBF

This is a rather dramatic assessment by @ViktorsValainis as a minister of the current government about the government led by @AndrisKulbergs. Empty talk, big promises and ... sandcastles with a 'technical government' at the forefront. Quite sad. And quite frustrating.
From@attistibaiThe recently discovered migrant smuggling tunnels are yet another proof that Rihards Kozlovskis' legacy at the Ministry of the Interior is 11 years of failing to solve problems.

@Aigars1972 Aigar, I already understood that from the first time you wrote it. Reminding it under every post isn't really sensible. I invite you to take our list in the elections and to hell with everything you don't believe!
From@Aigars1972@JazepsBasko Put simply, I don't believe a word of the party that has put Ušakova's fictitiously employed May 9 singer at number one in Latgale. Not to mention the Interfront Papule. MMN died before it was even born!

From@notgazxelHey, men mass arriving from other continents with a completely foreign culture hostile to women and customs incompatible with our values, who demand that locals yield to their whims, are exactly the same as some leftovers from the local region.

⚖️ FASTER PATH TO ADVOCACY Today the Cabinet of Ministers supported the Ministry of Justice's proposal to reduce the required time in the status of a sworn advocate's assistant from five to three years. This means that qualified lawyers who have gained the necessary knowledge, skills, and professional experience will be able to apply for the status of a sworn advocate faster. 👉 At the same time, professional requirements are not reduced. The requirements for the attorney exam, as well as the requirements for the admission, preparation, and supervision of assistants, remain unchanged. We will also expand opportunities to become an advocate's assistant – one sworn advocate will be able to have up to two assistants, while the required seniority for an advocate to become a patron will be reduced from seven to five years. This will particularly expand opportunities in the regions. ℹ️ The draft law “Amendments to the Latvian Republic Advocacy Law” will be submitted for consideration to the Saeima.

Thank you very much for the clear communication and for the information on the AiM website. Then regarding Liepāja Airport, we are in the same place as every year, with fragmented funding and no clear system for the future. I had initiated all ministries and interested institutions to define their future interests. The process was not completed. Most likely, this could then be a political decision for the next government—whether to consolidate with RIX or develop Liepāja Airport separately.
From@GunaGavrilkoGood afternoon! Liepāja Airport is a very significant military infrastructure object, whose financing was started during the previous government. Here is the news about 2025 https://t.co/WjNMEoZMx1

@normundsbergs KEM has clearly indicated in its seminars that nothing changes for businesses at the moment. Also, fines must not be applied until August 12, 2027, i.e., for another year. The system now needs to start being implemented. The producer must ensure labeling on the packaging and a suitable system. https://t.co/OUtrC8tWvD
From@normundsbergs@atis_svinka all EU + UK. The worst is UK, then Germany, France...etc. you can't single out champions there. And also all Amazons block your respective country's e-shop if you don't have that register and waste representation agreement. insane bureaucracy.
