@Mkaprans Example from today: when cutting state funding to pseudo-civic societies threatens democracy and the existence of the nation.

This is what Professor Juris Rozenvalds wrote a quarter of a century ago. But it seems as if it were written today. https://t.co/gzJwJedjV3

wow that's how the prime minister answers when asked whether campaign events, meetings with voters, photo ops on combines etc for whole days, on a working day was a business trip or was a day off declared?

Leitān, I think you have already very well proven and confirmed that you are already ready and mature to professionally move to a higher journalism league, and we would all appreciate your work in the magazine Private Life. You are good at it.

@instant_mk @VisockisJuris @Apvienotais_ Very well and long discussed. I am chairing the meeting, and everyone should be given the opportunity to speak. But when speaking, there must be discipline, because the time is 2 hours, in which conclusions, tasks, and next dates must be set. Discipline must be maintained and one must focus on expressing the thought and message.

@AndrisKulbergs @VisockisJuris @Apvienotais_ Was it really like that? She actually didn't get to speak. I listened to the whole meeting.

🚨Food security in Africa and beyond is under serious threat, as Russia attacks ships attempting to leave Ukraine’s Black Sea ports. In July, Russia’s attacks on sea routes were daily. Millions of people are at risk if Ukraine’s agricultural exports do not resume.

I would still like to understand – was this a business trip/regional visit for the Prime Minister, the Finance Minister and the Justice Minister, or was it an agitation trip organized by a board member of the alliance AS, using administrative resources? https://t.co/TfFRME7MGd

Overall, a nice top, but if about VAT @IvoButkevics everywhere only about reduction, but nowhere about the main thing we've been ringing all week - the turnover growth of these goods, the turnover growth of our producers, over 10% in these categories. This surely shows the benefit to the economy and the budget https://t.co/JghGPtVbt7

@AndrisKulbergs It turns out, the VK Innovation Laboratory costs us €1M per year for 5 (!) employees. Here's where you can save a whole million! And the labor market will only benefit if these 5 people can apply their design thinking to developing new products or services in the private sector :)

@instant_mk @VisockisJuris @Apvienotais_ Forgive me, but it was precisely her whom I allowed to speak longer than everyone else, precisely because she represents an umbrella NGO organization.

@VisockisJuris @AndrisKulbergs @Apvienotais_ The Prime Minister repeatedly interrupted the leader of the Civic Alliance, Zonberga, not allowing her to speak and even questioning her right as the leader of the organization to represent the NGO community. The Prime Minister did not dare to question the legitimacy of any other speaker or attack them similarly.

Āboliņš:..we do not want to take away money, we want to assess the usefulness. Jonīte: that is very dangerous. Evaluating (!!) good and bad NGOs is a threat to democracy. Please explain to me how such an opinion, such an attitude is tolerated at all? https://t.co/Lsbu68zIJw

@Elina_Treija @MartinsKriekis @liana_langa Well, okay, there in one column the payment is 0, but still..

Today at Grīziņkalns park there are city festivities and parties have set up campaigning tents at the entrances. According to the rules, you are not allowed to enter the territory with campaign materials and address people during the event. The only ones who consistently violated this, of course, were the representatives of Mēs mainām noteikumus...

@aiga_balode This time the talk was specifically about remote work, but I completely agree with you - also in in-person work at least 30% of civil servants are completely superfluous and their only job is to imitate the necessity of their own existence, and that needs to change.

When will you realize that sensible or nonsensical work has nothing to do with location? You yourself retweeted my CFLA story - I did nothing there for 3 months from a spacious, beautiful office with parquet on Smilšu iela. At the Ministry of Economics there was a department head who had worked in the state administration her whole life - 20 years - she raised children from the EM office, bought tiles, renovated her rental apartments and fixed garden gates. They called me to a meeting and for an hour - I'm not exaggerating, an hour - in my presence she talked on the phone about the correct tile color - I sat there, having come to the meeting with a notepad and pen. That happened in person. Needless to say, that cow, after such a performance against me, no longer works at EM, and three others in the hierarchy above her, up to the deputy state secretary, are also gone. Which part do you not understand, you and also @AndrisKulbergs? I can no longer even look at you. I'll go away, out to the sea, but you meanwhile come to your senses a bit and start doing what is really needed, not nonsense!

Second episode "Why don't they like them?" I know children are a sacred thing. But here is a very illustrative example of why NGO funding, including delegation agreements, should nevertheless be evaluated. There are also accounting nuances and much more. Exactly such examples cast a shadow over others and raise questions about presentations. ZZS delegates functions to an association of its own party member without a tender, and over the years the situation looks quite ugly: https://t.co/YeWpmMO3kQ

@VisisG @attistibai My claim is not about ownership, but about the justification for paying rent compensation. It disappears if the person has an apartment in Riga that they can use without hindrance. State money must be used efficiently.

@pucej @attistibai “They demanded residence compensation, even though they themselves own an apartment in Riga…” In other words - bourgeois. If a deputy's residence is in Rēzekne, then real estate in Riga cannot be a reason not to pay compensation. But socialists think that the state disposes of other people's property.
