@Mikipele6@nralv 😀 many things are new to me as well.. so from the article I didn't understand, is this now the official government proposal and position?
@nralv@Chapis With such foolish articles, in which you once again try to propagandize that Latvia, as the only wondrous exception, does not need a full-fledged transport connection with the other EU and NATO countries, you only show again who the owners of your newspaper are and whom they serve.
Solvita Gulbe on redundant positions in state administration. A general cleanup of state administration means reviewing the qualifications of every position and employee. He stood against Russification and Russian imperialism - No!
Ask him - "Who owns Crimea" and the answer will be clear, the same as from the other "Russian oppositionists".
The fact that he is not at peace with Putin does not mean that he is against Russian imperialism.
Russification is a crime regardless of who commits it - Stalin, Brezhnev, Putin, or some other "tribal elder"
@AndrisVelps On the contrary, you are exactly the Kremlin's agent. Galkins made a choice, changing his life, standing against Putin. Those who condemn him are on Putin's side.
When there is a lack of vision for Latvia's future, all that remains is to revel in Russian show business and dream of 'the old days'. It is surprising how openly some 'patriots' still breathe in the Kremlin's cultural space and try to present this soft power as the norm. Behind all the beautiful promises of 'business' and 'growth' hides the same old goal - to push Latvia back into Russia's orbit of influence and culture. It is a direct attempt to revive Soviet nostalgia and threaten our state security. We are and will remain a free, European and Latvian state. We have already seen this kind of 'Russian world' rule, and we don't want to go back there!
According to OECD measurements, 87% of Latvia's population do not trust political parties. MMN offers to change the rules and introduce a voting method in the future where parties no longer participate in elections. People will vote for specific individuals and not parties. Let's say thank you to parties and goodbye! The remaining 13%, who have a love for parties, cannot dictate their rules to us. First, they are in the minority, and second: the number 13 brings bad luck. MMN
Congratulations to my dear colleague Minister Dr Vivian Balakrishnan and the people of Singapore on the National Day! 🇸🇬🇱🇻 Your visit to Latvia earlier this year was a memorable opportunity to strengthen ties between our countries. I look forward to deepening our cooperation.🤝
On August 9, 2020, the people of Belarus rose in protest against a fraudulent presidential election. They stood up for democracy and freedom, only to face brutal repression and systematic violations of their fundamental rights. Six years later, the Lukashenka regime continues its repressive policies, including transnational repression targeting Belarusians in exile. The number of political prisoners continues to grow, while ever more people are arbitrarily designated as extremists. Belarus also continues its hybrid campaign against neighbouring EU states through the instrumentalization of migration and remains complicit in Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. We strongly condemn these inhumane actions and call on Belarus to cease them immediately. Latvia stands with the people of Belarus in their pursuit of a free, democratic, and sovereign Belarus. #FreeBelarus@LV_Belarus | @free_Belarus_lv

The only thing that needs to be monitored there — that there is no agreement on prices between market participants or abuse of a dominant position. In economics, there is no such thing as “unrealized income in the state budget.” That is a political concept. Any change in market conditions can be rhetorically and justifiably interpreted as an impact on some other alternative course that would generate additional revenue for the state budget. But all of that is only potentiality. It could also turn out differently. The market is not made up of lemmings that could be picked up and placed anywhere else (under any other conditions) to continue their movement in the same manner as before. The market is a living organism. Price is not a fixed indicator of a product's “fair” or “true” value. Price is a signal of the meeting of seller's and buyer's interests, which constantly changes and adapts on both sides. The price at which each seller is willing to come out does not depend on some easily accountable components that the Competition Council could check and call fair or unfair. A merchant has no obligation to sell anything at a price at which it does not want to sell, even if in someone else's view it is “economically disadvantageous.” Only the player himself can know and be responsible for his own economic advantage. And that is encoded in the price set by the merchant (and continues to change in response to market conditions not so well visible to anyone else, including buyer behavior).
@JazepsBasko In other words, the unrealized income in the state budget, the money that could have been paid to pensions, child benefits or science, but has ended up in the pockets of fat cats, would the right-wing government write off and ask no questions?🤔
Next time someone asks: okay, but concretely - what's the plan? Here is a brief on officials. We will not talk. We will simply do. https://t.co/e5QGdhJ56x

@VisisG@attistibai In my opinion, my suggestion was unambiguous - those compensations are completely unnecessary (even more incomprehensible to me is carrying fuel receipts to the Saeima) and should be abolished for all deputies. Let deputies buy or rent apartments or anything else with their salary.
@pucej@attistibai Then I haven't misunderstood you. LA aligns deputies' remuneration with their wealth; in my opinion, that is socialism. I assume that from LA's position follows the recommendation for future deputies not to buy an apartment in Riga, so as not to lose compensations. Bought an apartment in Riga instead of Ropaži - your own fault!
Why does the head of government @AndrisKulbergs avoid answering the question and instead choose a familiar, personal attack? And the question is essential.
Leitān, I think you have already very well proven and confirmed that you are already ready and mature to professionally move to a higher journalism league, and we would all appreciate your work in the magazine Private Life. You are good at it.

It seems it's come to the point that the state should create something like a financial inquisition and then go through all these strange-named NGOs' strange 'projects.' I would even be ready to work in such a thing. https://t.co/lDOGSJJ6EM
