It is advantageous to be a civil society from the Progressives!
From@lit25518How is that possible? To work only in an NGO and a municipality and buy two properties in Riga, on Stabu Street? Is PRO's new handwriting or a new scheme? Why don't the transactions appear in the official's declaration?

@PeterisJur We have turned into a great power of documents, opinions and writing off, but the person has disappeared in all of it. And then a citizen with their problem receives ten such documents, although in reality all their issue could possibly be resolved in a 20-minute conversation with a live civil servant.
From@PeterisJur@karlis_serzants Seems wrong focus. You will get what you measure. Why is the goal to be at work in person, rather than do the work? I probably don't know the specifics of civil servants' work. You can prepare an opinion even in a swamp.

The universal value really has to do with market value. The fiscal cadastral value is a biased history that is dragged along for political reasons to keep the property tax low. It should have been abandoned long ago, along with the property tax rates.
From@janis_neimanisUniversal cadastral value... 🫣🤭😁 Where these nightmares have taken us is still not clear to anyone... 🙂

In Latvia 🇱🇻, household 🧑🧑🧒🧒 direct payments for health care ❤️🩹🩺, i.e. so-called 'out-of-pocket payments', reached 35.1% of all health care expenditure in 2023. Most EU countries have already compiled 2024 data @EU_Eurostat. Currently, it turns out that in Latvia 🇱🇻 the share of household 🧑🧑🧒🧒 out-of-pocket payments is the highest among all EU 🇪🇺 countries.
From@UznemejiMieramEntrepreneurs for peace have been attracting state funding for reconstruction in Ukraine since 2022🇺🇦🇱🇻. We are restoring social infrastructure to provide improvements for Ukrainians in war conditions and show that they are not alone. The project is implemented with the 🇱🇻 state budget with the support of @arlietas and CFLA. https://t.co/JzmbT4AZAP

The U.S. Senate’s adoption of the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026 is timely. It will further strengthen restrictive measures against authoritarian regime in Russia and its enablers in order to get to a lasting peace in Ukraine.
I just checked the latest salary calculators and conclude that 🇪🇪 this year's tax adjustments have given them a significant reduction in labor taxes. Although EE has raised the PIT rate (22%->24%), now all EE salary recipients, regardless of salary level, are entitled to a €700 monthly PIT allowance. This means that 🇱🇻 Latvia currently has the highest labor tax level at all salary levels. @partijaMMN will advocate for reducing labor taxes so that it is sufficiently competitive with the Baltic states.
From@partijaMMNJānis Hermanis about the labor tax burden. Latvia has a particularly large tax burden on labor. MMN envisages a fixed 10% tax rate for micro-enterprises that turn over up to €50,000 per year, and a single PIT rate for workers - thus not punishing citizens' labor productivity. https://t.co/C6LLrVZsCz

From@Arlietas💬 “You have helped strengthen good governance, democracy, rule of law, as well as our three priorities – Latvia's security, economic development and care for people!” Opening the 5th Forum of Latvian Professionals Working in International Organizations, Foreign Minister @Braze_Baiba thanked Latvian professionals for their contribution to representing national interests and emphasized the importance of international experience in strengthening Latvia's security, economy and democracy. The forum gathered more than 100 Latvian professionals from the UN, EU institutions, NATO, OSCE, Council of Europe and other international organizations. 🔗 More: https://t.co/IZHyzxyCNB 📷 Photo: Laura Celmiņa, Ministry of Foreign Affairs https://t.co/EfhHp2J1s1

“Mēs mainām noteikumus” as the only right-wing party does not support this central planners' idea. We will altogether abolish centralized exams. If we need to measure how, on average, children learn the material, it can be done as in any normal sociological study — by sampling. If someone needs specific candidate knowledge, then each can privately test specifically as needed. I see no obstacles for private standard exam organizers to appear after some time. And such exams could also be taken by people who did not think about natural sciences during school.
@gdavidsons I don't want to sound vulgar, but reading your comment, the words that a smart dick doesn't chop wood fit. Send news to ex-President Bērziņš about the construction of the EU fund guest house (read: private house), not about these men who work their guts out to develop business with local capital.
From@gdavidsonsThere is a nuance.. the newly opened roastery was established with the support of the European Union Recovery and Resilience Facility (https://t.co/MhsQx397JB). Meanwhile, traffic jams continue on the Riga bypass. We do not realise how huge opportunities EU funds have given us over the last 20 years. https://t.co/v49JYCLIvA

From@liana_langaWhat annoys Russia and the servants of its interests in liberal masks the most? Young men with conviction, fervent Latvian nationalists. I will only remind that not so long ago Dragiļeva, who had returned from work in Moscow, chased Zeltīts through Riga's greenery and slandered him on LTV. Now they have started persecuting @StankevicsA #RunāLatviski https://t.co/G7B7PFnRbN

@KuzminsPavels @phronemophobe Don't fantasize. Russians entered an occupied country. That means illegally. We have nothing in common with you. Just like Ukrainians, etc.
From@KuzminsPavels@lindberga22 @phronemophobe Good evening! You overlook one essential thing: Latvians, Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians, Poles, etc. have lived side by side for centuries. We have many common traditions and cultural features. Indian and Pakistani culture is completely different, so the comparison is not really appropriate.
