@Madarmara Firstly, there were about 70 of us in the march. 🥰 Secondly, he filmed Live and took the opportunity to greet and talk with Ventspils residents who were watching the march. A magnificent event, Ventspils knows how!

@Chapis @SlesersAinars My question was about why he is running ahead alone like that.

@ImantsR @kr_klavins I understand and agree. A victim of Anglicism… actually a much bigger problem than the Russian language.

@Chapis @kr_klavins And here you should still write in Latvian, I don't care that you've lived in America a lot, that hurts more than damn

You have the right to your opinion, and that is fine, we live in a democracy. But again I will ask you to use a little common sense… Ok, the border is closed, does that mean that those who go there won't go there via LT? I think not. Although a politically successful move from Jānis D., in essence absolutely nothing, except pre-election PR, is achieved. I'll say more: at the end of 2025 there was a moment when the PL/BY border was closed… there were its own reasons, and it lasted 2 months. In the end, who benefited from it? Including us (🚛💰)… if Zīle and Dombrava would achieve that everyone closes, respect, hats off, but for now it's just fishing.. 🎣

Ainārs Šlesers is worried that occupiers, after Soviet plombir ice cream and Russian FSB instructions, will no longer be able to travel to Minsk so freely through Latvian border points. Normal people do not travel to Minsk and Moscow, but Ainārs Šlesers is not for Latvians. https://t.co/ScYv6H16qD

Bloody Russia must be stopped! The Lithuanian Embassy in Kyiv has also suffered from the aggressor's attack. I would like to express my full solidarity with Lithuania and my colleague @juozas_olekas. My condolences to the victims and their relatives. https://t.co/6mKbW4nEF5

@AndrisKulbergs About LB, just space... 😳😱

Day No. 47 in the prime minister's chair – airBaltic strategic plan and the Latvian Bank teaching farmers how to live✈️. This was a day that almost entirely passed in the Cabinet of Ministers' bunker – the secret meeting hall. Nine hours of discussions, explanations, legal formulations, and consultations. 🔹 airBaltic strategic plan. Today's meeting examined the airBaltic strategic plan submitted by Transport Minister Rihards Kozlovskis, not the company's business plan. The business plan is a document for whose development and implementation the airBaltic board and council are responsible. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Transport as the shareholder and the government decide on the company's strategic direction – what we expect from airBaltic in the long term, what functions the company must perform, and what goals must be achieved. The meeting also assessed airBaltic's financial situation and measures to improve it so that the company can ensure stable service provision right now – during the hottest time of the aviation season. ✅ We confirmed the Treasury's representation at the bond creditors' meeting. This mandate has not changed and corresponds to the authorization given by the Saeima. The business plan is reviewed by the airBaltic board and the Ministry of Transport. Currently, the board has not yet approved it. The ministry only submitted its comments today so that the plan could be approved within the next week or two. Previous governments' decisions have led to a situation where complex negotiations with financiers and creditors must now be conducted. The company's future will largely depend on the strategic plan advanced by Transport Minister Rihards Kozlovskis, as well as on the ability to reach an agreement with creditors and attract new capital. Capital attraction must be ensured. The current situation is largely a consequence of the decision made in 2024 – borrowing 380 million euros while not making fundamental changes in the company's operations. These changes should have been implemented two years ago, not continue burning money in an inappropriately ambitious business expansion plan. The government decided to entrust Transport Minister Rihards Kozlovskis with beginning implementation of the strategic plan he and Seabury developed. 🔹 Christ Avots' baptism by fire. Because of the airBaltic meeting, I missed the NTSP – National Tripartite Cooperation Council – meeting with @darbadeveji and LBAS. Thanks to my parliamentary secretary Christ Avots, who saved me and conducted the meeting honorably. It was his real baptism by fire. 💪 Christ also conducted today: 🏅 National Sports Council meeting; 🛡️ Cybersecurity action discussion. On cybersecurity issues, we continue to assess the security of the state's critical infrastructure and its compliance with requirements after the cyberattack on Latvia's state forests. 🔹 Is the Latvian Bank starting to teach farmers how to keep livestock? 🐄 I met with the Agricultural Organizations Cooperation Council – LOSP. Frankly, I was speechless hearing what the sector said about the sustainability guidelines developed by @LatvijasBanka. Instead of the Latvian Bank promoting processes that would allow new capital to enter the Latvian economy and help mitigate the consequences of the so-called financial sector's capital repair, it starts developing guidelines for farmers on how to properly keep livestock and organize economic activities. Seriously? The Latvian Bank council advisor and sustainability director Edvards Kušners reportedly prepared a substantial study and report in which the banking sector is called to consider a range of conditions in financing decisions. The sector indicates that farmers whose farms do not meet these guidelines could face higher loan interest rates or even be denied financing. Examples cited by LOSP: 🐄 Keeping cattle in barns. The bank must find out whether livestock are kept only in barns. If so, it could have negative consequences for obtaining financing. 💧 Water consumption. It is recommended to limit water intake from water bodies above 10 m³ per day. What to do in hot summers? Leave livestock without water? 🦌 Animal migration routes. If construction or other economic activity disrupts animal migration routes and the entrepreneur has not created alternative solutions, the economic activity can be assessed as unfavorable to the environment – and this can affect credit availability. Two World Wildlife Fund experts have reportedly been involved in preparing this work. However, the agricultural sector claims that full consultations with its representatives have not taken place. Seriously? Does the Latvian Bank, which in its own studies continuously points out that Latvia must raise productivity, promote investments, and strengthen economic growth, develop such guidelines? Is someone lost in the woods? 🌲🌲🌲 Mārtiņ @martinskazaks, how have such requirements ended up in the Latvian Bank's guidelines for commercial banks? The sector has already received complaints that Latvian banks have started applying these criteria when assessing farmers' financing opportunities. This issue must be resolved immediately.

PITBULL TERRIER CIVILIZATION — One of the key elements in the collapse of Western civilization is rap. Preaching in a cassock isn't stylish, organizing political rallies isn't stylish, but packaging brainwashing into “music” and business is legal — “separated” from politics and the state. To help pull your thoughts together, look at Latvia's political party financing rules. It is perfectly legal to gather wealthy sponsors, plaster all the poster poles and the entire internet, and call up a full stadium to preach a new faith amid noise, with the justification that it is music and entertainment. But doing exactly the same without the noise and preaching civic-mindedness rather than decadence — that is forbidden. Today anyone can engage in politics as long as they don't honestly say they want to do so. No, I'm not saying rappers should be subject to political regulation. I'm not saying art or entertainment has not influenced politics in other times. I'm only saying how twisted it looks when one tries to regulate political influence as is done in Latvia.

Ingus Tamanis on the election system as the foundation for a successful state. There are 2 options: 1) Buy a bag of apples with 3 perfect apples but 7 rotten ones; 2) Pick the 10 best apples yourself. https://t.co/BSp3y62pPZ

Ingus Tamanis on the election system as the foundation for a successful state. The single transferable vote system allows choosing the best candidates rather than politburo-selected lists. By choosing the strongest deputies, there will also be a quality cabinet of ministers and its decisions. https://t.co/ZfwSfSwfGE

🟥 FOR YOUR INFORMATION! Together with @maija_armaneva, even before we got involved in politics, we were among those who publicly opposed the covid repressions and covid scandals, and it all started with the Krastmala protest. Only afterwards did we become co-founders of the party 'Latvia First'. Together with like-minded people, we have organized more than 10 protests with slogans against the Unity regime, against the Levits-Kariņš regime. And now let's look back. What has changed in these four years? Many of the officials of this regime are no longer in politics and do not hold their positions: 1. President Egils Levits. 2. Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš (Unity). 3. Prime Minister Evika Siliņa (Unity). 4. Prosecutor General Juris Stukāns. 5. Ombudsman Juris Jansons. 6. KNAB chief Jēkabs Straume. WHO WILL BE NEXT? Maybe I've forgotten someone? Please add to the list in the comments.

The next Saeima must decide on the next head of KNAB. Especially because the State Chancellery currently has no head. The next head's absolutely critical task is to uncover large-scale corruption cases, which, unfortunately, are likely not lacking. https://t.co/6tWUfAaw7V

The situation in Ceuta 🇪🇸 is shocking and unacceptable and reminds me of 2015. Spain needs to respond firmly to massive violations of the European Union's external border. Organized mass migration is a threat to the entire European Union. I am in contact with EU 🇪🇺 colleagues.

The Ministry of Culture does not need advice from people who, in the current geopolitical circumstances, travel to Belarus to participate in events organized by the state authorities. Today, representative of the Latvian Belarusian Union Jeļena Lazareva has been excluded from the Ministry of Culture's Consultative Council of Minority NGOs. Despite repeated warnings from the state security institution about intelligence and personal security risks, Lazareva went to Belarus and participated in events organized by the authorities. Such persons should not be near state administration and should not provide advice or recommendations. We have no common path with people who actively participate in events supported by Russian or Belarusian state authorities.
