How effectively investment management takes place in Latvia, what obstacles must be faced, and what steps should possibly be taken quickly to make this work more effective – today a valuable conversation with the management of the Central Finance and Contracting Agency about this. https://t.co/dSyEHEY5Fl

A rhetorical question — how do Spanish soldiers, who are in Ādaži within NATO, intend to defend Latvia, if it doesn't even cross their minds to defend their own country against occupiers?

KNAB chief Straume has submitted his resignation. A sensible step. We would have thrown him out anyway. An organization whose main task was to serve JV had nothing to do with fighting corruption. This is also a clear sign that JV is worn out and written off. Straume understood this first; others will follow, but on 3 Oct there will likely be masochists who will again vote for the party that has brought the country to last place in all rankings. That must be their karma. But with corruption everything is simple. We need a prime minister who will shake up Rail Baltic and the other scandals. We won't get by without criminal cases. MMN

Europe must protect its borders and no illegal migration is acceptable. Currently, the European Union's duty is to help Spain resolve this crisis - so that border crossers return to their home country. This is possibly a deliberate Moroccan hybrid operation against Latvia's ally Spain, whose soldiers protect our land. The border crossers have reached Spanish territory in Africa, not continental Europe. Latvia must support Spain, because we ourselves also face the instrumentalization of migration on a daily basis.

📍Based on information provided by the state security institution, a representative of the association “Latvian Belarusian Union” has been excluded from the composition of the Consultative Council of Representatives of Minority Non-Governmental Organizations. 🤝🏻The contribution of non-governmental organizations to the good of society is extremely significant, and it is equally important for everyone to notice and react to any risks that could threaten the reputation of the entire sector and question the honest and responsible work of NGOs. I have great trust in the opinion of Latvia's security institutions, and the information at my disposal is serious and indicates the possibility of security risks. In these geopolitical circumstances, a situation where a person included in the council participates in events financed by the authorities of the aggressor state is unacceptable. That is a red line that must not be crossed. I express gratitude to the colleagues of the Consultative Council of Representatives of Minority Non-Governmental Organizations, who treat the received information responsibly, have always acted very constructively and honestly represent Latvia's interests. I am confident that we will continue to work together just as constructively in the future. 🔗More here: https://t.co/icRzzf0O7v

Great! Latvia's taxpayers again have to rescue AirBaltic, being pushed to shell out another hundreds of millions of euros, while AirBaltic advertises flights to Tallinn! The Estonian government and taxpayers have not given a single euro to rescue AirBaltic, because advertising for Estonia and promoting its tourism industry is provided by Latvia's taxpayers!

👶 New Unity proposes to continue keeping the 75% parental benefit for parents who continue working while caring for a child. This means parents will not have to choose between work and family support – it will be possible to receive 75% of the parental benefit while continuing to work. Experience so far shows that this solution helps families, encourages fathers' involvement in childcare, and makes it easier to combine work with raising a child. Therefore, New Unity proposes to enshrine this arrangement in law as permanent.

Calling police officers 'pajoļi' is unacceptable in any situation! According to what the chairman of the Latvian Council of Sworn Advocates, Saulvedis Vārpiņš, stated in this post - not all @Valsts_policija employees can be called 'pajoļi', but each specific employee can become one while performing work duties when his opinion does not align with the lawyer's opinion. A clear contradiction with the lawyers' Code of Ethics.

What is happening in Spain is an invasion. The government gave the order not to resist. That is precisely why the left, progressives, and socialists are the biggest long-term threat to the existence of nation states. A third-world and Islamist Trojan horse. https://t.co/dNDMhXDfkA

🇪🇸 This is what an invasion looks like… hundreds of illegals storming Spain’s shores. Over 1,500 migrants have bypassed border security by swimming around the Tarajal breakwaters in just over a week, with arrivals averaging about 300 per day. Local reception systems have collapsed. Facilities for unaccompanied minors are operating at 2,400% of capacity. Ceuta’s President Juan Jesús Vivas has formally asked the Spanish government to declare a national emergency. Morocco is using these migration surges as political pressure to extract concessions from Madrid.
