@RalfsVilands1 That is not a rebound. It is a plan to eradicate all feeding troughs, using the self-organizational forces built into nature. Why do you imagine that the 'NGO fighters' are only against the financing of specific feeding troughs. The plan is to get rid of all of them. https://t.co/GxrCb4zPXb

Feeding troughs are like the grimy train cars and broken windows. As soon as there is one feeding trough, it is a moral justification and encouragement for another, and then soon the next. There are two equilibrium states of social justice for feeding troughs. One — when everything is a single feeding trough, and gaining access to the warm spots is resolved in honest political struggle and maintained by honest silence about the spots managed by competitors. The other equilibrium state — when all are shut down. Because no new ones will be introduced, as they say, socially justly. When shutting down a feeding trough, the main thing is not to listen to arguments describing what saintly work the feeding trough does. Clearly, every spot has secured a couple of such. It is much better to use the cleverness of the deprived activists, when they eagerly crawl to the nearest known sugar pile — okay, so that one also most likely must be shut down — as well as their envy, when they report on competitors' feeding troughs that have remained unshut. But if a bit more seriously, the right-wing objection to feeding troughs is not that the feeding trough does wrong things, but that the feeding trough justifies the next ones. Right-wing politics offers a way out of the eternal struggle of interest groups in the political arena for the fairest redistribution. Make your own genuinely non-governmental organizations, collect money and do miracle works with your own and self-attracted donors' money. Only then can it be determined whether there is a real demand in society for good deeds combined with the payment of your idleness.

I understand that it will be difficult for E. Siliņa to cope with her bitterness. But JV must choose at this time - to continue quarreling with other democratic parties in order to pave the way for a Šlesers government. Or rather look critically in the mirror at yourself and come up with something constructive before the elections. First about irony - E. Siliņa supplements her usual sour criticism directed at me with a photo of the assembly of ASCOD combat vehicles in Latvia. The project has secured funding and a contract was signed during my tenure. This politician is typical - to appropriate the achievements of others, but in case of problems to look for scapegoats, point fingers, so that she herself would not have to take responsibility. She can't do otherwise. Now lies are being spread about the lack of action in strengthening Latvia's airspace defense capabilities. So some facts about the decisions and actions that the defense sector and its political leadership implemented to strengthen our airspace in recent years. I can take responsibility for each of these decisions. ➡️ After the serious drone incident in September 2024, as the head of the sector, it was completely clear to me - the ability to respond to drone incursions must immediately become a priority for the defense sector. Action was an obvious prerequisite for the public to trust the Latvian army and perceive the investment in defense as justified. ➡️ Air defense units were deployed on the eastern border. Additional contracts were signed, radars were received and deployed. ➡️ Learning from Ukraine, Latvia became the first NATO member state to cover the entire eastern border with acoustic detection sensors. ➡️ On my initiative as minister, we signed an agreement with our companies on the development and delivery of interceptor drones, guided missiles, machine gun integrators and electronic warfare systems. On my instruction, the interceptor drones had to be deployed on the border already in April. ➡️ Together with my Baltic colleagues, we ensured that NATO fighters would be ready to take off to identify and shoot down drones. E. Siliņa cannot be trusted on defense matters - even her own party is aware of this. This politician wanted to become the new defense minister, but was refused - not by the new government leader, but by her own party, which decided to nominate another candidate. That says it all. The first point of my individual freedom programme is to end the state in which people and businesses are hostages of banks. It doesn't matter at all where those rules come from. We will cancel them.

@BITHYCLE For such offensive words to me, you may have to talk to security institutions.

@lindberga22 Does the Nazi like racism? Well, didn't expect that :D Good luck pouring bile on Twitter, because for the rising sun with 'as if fascism is something bad' Zeltīts at the helm, the five percent threshold is way too high.

I am very glad for everyone who has become involved in the fight against third-country nationals. We are currently winning this fight, so the left is in panic. Let's go all the way, together - Latvia for Latvians! #LatvijaLatviešiem https://t.co/taevtIE8FL

I have already publicly explained about funding for non-governmental organizations – a large part of this funding is actually directed towards providing services important to society. During a cooperation meeting, the Prime Minister confirmed that he has heard @Jauna_Vienotiba's invitation to meet with non-governmental organizations, given the publicly arising questions about the non-governmental sector and the funding allocated to it. The Prime Minister promised to explain his position and also to listen to the opinion of non-governmental organizations. I have received a clear assurance that non-governmental organizations will be heard. That is important, because after the Prime Minister's public statements, many disturbing and not fully answered questions have arisen.

@AndrisKulbergs and @jemberga must continue what was started. Soon, those being shut down, out of envy, will point to others that they previously stayed silent about in solidarity. All according to the book: https://t.co/GxrCb4zPXb

Good find. For promoting cooperation of associations and participation in international associations or who knows where, from the state exactly as much is due as to all other genres of associations — zero. There are no right and wrong associations. There must be clear rules that apply to everyone equally. https://t.co/ppptYi0VaQ

1/ Since MPs started quarrelling over state $ for NGOs, in Riga there was murmuring about how much the “silage tower” aka Ministry of Agriculture costs. We asked everyone about 2025. The MoA response came only after I had sent the @rebaltica community the newsletter about the week in politics. This + 149K for Likteņdārzs. https://t.co/4Fu9YTzgQc

Sabile – well done! Humor will save the world! Meanwhile, in the progressive swamps, the reeds are swaying – see how strange those Latvians are! With what right do Latvians dare to dress up at the carnival? I have only a few questions. When at your carnivals men ring their heavenly bells in women's bikinis, is that right? When you take children to watch this show of sexual perversion, is that right? When you mock the Latvian national costume and put a daughter's crown on a boy's head, is that right? And finally, when you entered the 2022 Saeima with - respectful gender change for children, is that also right? Who gave you the right to even imagine that you may mutilate Latvian children? Who gave you the right to mock Latvian culture, sew the Latvian flag together with incomprehensible color stripes and wave it in Old Riga? Who are you, who don't even dare to call yourselves Latvians? Stand by the cart while Sabile rolls!

In Latvia, expenditures for police functions have reached 1.7% of GDP. In recent years they have increased rapidly, mainly due to construction and reconstruction of police buildings, but the total amount (% of GDP) is the second highest among the EU-27 countries https://t.co/kCWVkLwchF

@LabaisZellis The Poles are skimming off the pellets. We are in the free EU market, but that is no longer adequate and objectively unsustainable for many if 1t rises up to 500€🤨 I am nowhere near a forestry expert, but it seems LVM could intervene in some way to protect local households.
