In connection with the prosecutor's protest submitted on June 16 of this year, the government led by A. Kulbergs must return to the consideration of the prosecutor's protest and annul the previously adopted decision insofar as it contradicts the law.

Another dirty inheritance we have received from the coalition led by New Unity. The prosecutor's office is investigating this case and I fully support it. We need to get clarity on possible culprits, and I hope that will happen soon. One can understand the desire to cover up one's erroneous, questionable and careless decisions with political noise, but that is the worst thing one can do to the rule of law and the search for truth. At least do not be hypocrites, PRO and JV, and admit that you yourselves already in April considered the possibility of revoking this very decision and gave it up for exactly the same reasons that are heard today. Namely, it cannot be done legally. The government is not a court, it is that simple. We @Apvienotais_ want to establish the truth, so we are acting. We will turn to the Constitutional Court asking it to assess the possible violation of powers by the Siliņa government in the wood industry case. We ask PRO, JV and other deputies to join in signing the application.

Guntars Viziņš and Raimonds Arājs about Latvia's future. Every Latvian resident should answer the question 'Do you want the Latvian state to continue to exist, grow and develop?' If the answer is 'yes', then there is a solution to the causes of the problems - We change the rules. https://t.co/OWSL5y5lJr

Investments in a modern prison system and resocialization are investments in a safer society! Together with Lithuanian Minister of Justice Rita Tamašunienė, at Liepāja Prison we showed Latvia's modern approach to motivating prisoners and returning them to society. It is based on an individual risk and needs assessment, education, employment, psychological support, and gradual preparation for life after serving the sentence. 🏗️ The new Liepāja Prison is the first prison built since Latvia regained independence and the largest in the country. Modern infrastructure makes it possible to simultaneously strengthen security, ensure quality resocialization, and reduce the risk of recidivism.

🇱🇻🤝🇱🇹 Latvia and Lithuania are united by much more than a shared border. We are united by the Baltic Sea, people, and common goals. Together with Lithuania's Minister of Justice Rita Tamašunienė and the leadership of Liepāja state city municipality – Council Chairman Gunārs Ansiņš and his deputy Jānis Džeriņš – we discussed how to strengthen Latvia–Lithuania cooperation: investment attraction and regional development. I am glad to see that Lithuanian entrepreneurs continue to invest in Latvia. A modern health and SPA center will be built in Liepāja by the sea, while also restoring the historic Bath House. Such projects strengthen not only the economy but also the partnership between both countries. Liepāja is a special place for Latvia–Lithuania friendship – about 40% of the city's foreign visitors are tourists from Lithuania. This confirms that our cooperation is alive not only between governments, but also between people. During the meeting, we also discussed child safety in the digital environment. We agree that age restrictions alone are not enough. Greater responsibility of digital platforms, more effective age verification solutions, and closer cooperation between state institutions are needed so that children are truly safe in the digital environment.

Stendzenieks is being removed from the elections for a petty and tendentious interpretation of the law, while the faces of all those JV, PRO, AS, ZZS, NA politicians who are personally responsible for the theft of billions of state money in Rail Baltica and elsewhere, and who would deserve the harshest criminal charges, are now visible on the walls of Riga houses and on magazine covers. If only their faces belonged in prison windows. A rotten state and rotten media that accept and condone it.

One of the main goals of “Austošā Saule” since 2020 has been, through its activity and demands, to also push other parties and overall state policy in a more right-wing - more national - direction. To stir up, to awaken from complacency, to make them compete over who will fight for the Latvian in their own country, rather than who will be more centrist, more tolerant, and more inclusive. We would not have succeeded only with good intentions and speeches, but by becoming a force and growing our influence. Therefore, I can only positively assess the anti-immigration raids carried out by internal affairs structures in Riga - both in substance and as a sign of political change. However, the pendulum can very quickly swing back in the opposite direction, as has happened several times when elections have concluded and coalitions are formed with left-liberal forces. Not only the sustainability of change, but also a greater scope in the national direction after October 3 depends on whether “Austošā Saule Latvijai” will be a force with influence also in the Saeima. For family, nation, and state! FOR THE REBIRTH OF A LATVIAN LATVIA!

I categorically condemn Russia's barbaric attack on Ukrainian civilians and the Honorary Consulate of Latvia in Sloviansk. This once again demonstrates the desperation and inhumane methods of the aggressor state. My condolences to the victims and their relatives. May the injured recover quickly. https://t.co/5oXUYKy2DR

Shouldn't we stage a play about Montesquieu and the separation of powers?! 😵‍💫 This is how a distorted view of democracy manifests. A person believes that there is some central authority that rules everything (and hopes to get into that position!!!). In reality, it is an interplay of several independent institutions, each operating according to its own competence. That is called the principle of separation of powers. 🙌

I read that the ruling parties have found a reason to remove Stendzenieks from the track. Latvians, this is proof that you are ruled by a pack of hopeless losers and cretins. And on October 3, most of you will vote for them again. I have no doubt. Swimming in a piss-filled pool is your fate. MMN.

Visiting the globally unique Latvijas Finieris tree nursery in Zābaki, it was a pleasure to see how Latvian wood has successfully replaced concrete structures in the seedling cooling facility. Also how millions of young tree seedlings are growing that will be planted right here in Latvia. We talked about increasing the efficiency of the forestry sector, quality forests, regeneration felling, as well as similarities and differences in forest management in the region.

As the cost of living rises, the state's task is to protect residents, not to push them into debt. Repealing the ban on advertising quick loans is irresponsible. Such ads offer dangerous illusions of "quick solutions" to accumulated problems. @Progresivie opposed this decision, but the Saeima majority chose the opposite. https://t.co/dFs2qfewdD

@dacemelbarde @Progresivie Really? I would invite you to read the annotation of the amendments submitted to parliament - about 6.5% and not only.

Since 2022, imports from Russia to Latvia have been reduced by 91%. The latest initiatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Agriculture will reduce the remaining imports by 67%. But work continues on new national and EU-level restrictions. The information spread by @Progresivie about a 6% reduction is incorrect!

It was an honor to meet with the members of Piena Loģistika, Latvia's largest dairy cooperative, to discuss current issues in the agricultural sector - what the ministry has accomplished so far and the work that needs to be done in the near future. Also about Latvia's position in the EU multi-annual budget negotiations and fair direct payments.

⚖️ Baltic security begins with strong and prepared institutions. Today at the Kurzeme Regional Court we introduced Lithuania's Minister of Justice Rita Tamašunienė and the delegation to Latvia's experience in ensuring the continuity of court work in crisis situations. Our common task is to ensure that justice retains its strength even in the most difficult circumstances. That is why Latvia today shares its experience in ensuring the continuity of judicial work. 🇱🇻🤝🇱🇹 Common readiness, mutual trust and exchange of experience are prerequisites for more resilient justice systems and a safer Baltic region.
