🇱🇻 NA has won 10 Saeima seats! Thank you to each of the more than 70,000 residents who entrusted us with their vote! The work does not end with the election — the next stage of work begins, in which we will fulfil the promises made to voters and work responsibly for a Latvian Latvia. https://t.co/Fl2m3AMtVT

After such a failure, in Western Europe the party top brass would have already resigned. This is about ZZS and JV.

@DievaSuns @cilveksarkameru Yes - I have always wondered how anyone takes seriously the charlatan Liepnieks, Ušakovs' market consultant.

@cilveksarkameru Liepnieks, let him keep consulting LA and waiting for the Russian nuclear bomb in Ukraine, which he already predicts in 4 years :)) There will be AS+NA+JV, you'll see for yourself.

@evita_purina Have you not asked yourself why, in these elections, the rainbow Stambulist flank lost overwhelmingly to the conservative flank.

Finally something useful to do. I spent a week in Poland at various defence industry companies. We have much to learn. Poland is the backbone of the eastern border, and Latvia’s security matters to them no less than Poland’s. Thank you @michaldworczyk for the opportunity. https://t.co/moxOUbwiwD

@ar_mazo_r @guntarsv @Kuskis Already closer to the bloody truth What is at stake? 🩸whether to separate entertainment from culture 🩸school network 🩸hospital network 🩸healthcare basket & mandatory health insurance 🩸how to align EU directives with the principle of less state 🩸children — universal vs support only for the poor

@guntarsv @Kuskis If we're already talking about cutting 'free services', why stick to half-measures? Throw all students out of state-funded places, pensioners without indexation, abolish old nursing homes, emergency care and firefighters—only for a fee. That would be real 'Mileja' courage, not half-measures.

Voters “appreciated” a conservative party that promotes liberal bills. That's all you need to understand so that no denial of loyalty to ideology would exist. Parties that call themselves conservative but themselves do not even understand what 'conservatism' means are not destined for a long life. JKP is proof of that.

Calm down. The question is just whether Kulbergs now needs such a Pīlēns. Two hostesses in one kitchen may get too cramped. https://t.co/CxWH6u8GFJ

Will Pīlēns return for the presidential elections?

Six representatives of the party “Latvia First” in the 15th Saeima from Riga all as one hate a Latvian Latvia and want a Russian Latvia, to return the Russian language at the state and municipal level. That is the reality. The “United List” does not even need to think about the possibility of working together with LPV. https://t.co/vo4QjxAh8J

Yes, the menu has several sections. One of them is about tax policy. The IMF, for example, doesn't believe that you can cut expenses. They offer only that. In the Ministry of Finance, we put several sections in the menu - expenditure reduction, reforms (merging institutions), and also a tax section. Then all of that can be combined in different ways like Lego bricks. However, a deficit-free budget cannot be achieved without taxes. That is because we spend on defense in something like a half-war mode. And in other countries it is exactly the same, the same problem with the budget. My idea is to aim for a 'normalized deficit-free budget'. If you don't take into account the increase in defense spending from 2% to 5%, and accept those 3% as above normal and don't compensate for them, then you can achieve a normalized deficit-free budget. As for taxes, they are relatively low compared to GDP. And that is also why, for example, the health sector cannot be funded as much as we want (currently below the OECD average relative to GDP). So everything is about desires. If you want to fund education, health, etc. as much as in OECD countries, then the tax burden must be correspondingly higher. So what do we want? We have to choose. In the coming years, the tax burden, by the way, with unchanged policy, will continue to decline relative to GDP, which also needs to be taken into account.

🗳️ Thank you to all @VL_TBLNNK supporters in these elections! 🎯 The elections show that it is necessary to consolidate nationally minded parties so that voters' votes do not get lost below the 5% threshold.
