I would very much like that in the next Saeima two current government ministers would continue their work - Dombrava and Melnis.

@kSukevics @cosmix They think they are a party. If they are not in power, there is no party. Like Putin.

After such a failure, in Western Europe the party elite would have already resigned. That's about ZZS and JV.

We have been working on the budget measures for all these 4 months. On the table before the Prime Minister and a very narrow circle lies a longish thing that I call the 'bloody list'. Because all of these are difficult/unpopular decisions. Otherwise the budget cannot be put in order, since the popular slogans about optimising officials and individual siphons and Jonīte's handbags are mathematically cents (compared with the budget deficit). The most direct analogy is Milei. Publicly he went with a saw and abolished ministries (popular), but in fact he eliminated the deficit by limiting public spending (free services) by USD 800 per inhabitant (very unpopular). We have a similar choice; no other exists, even though 99.99% of the public does not understand that. It is not my job to carry these proposals to the people; we only gave the menu (restaurant menu), the main thing will be the resolve to decide politically, in the coalition, and that requires courage. Until the elections they promised candies; that is not hard. Now there will or will not be a moment of truth, because reforms have only one year. After that, elections again, the circus will resume. That is why the ministry was silent all this time (they reproached us for 'doing nothing'). Only what the Prime Minister now takes upon himself to do will be published. Otherwise it does not work; the Finance Ministry is just bookkeepers showing what can be done at all. Restaurant menu. Others simply do not understand. For example, ministries can also be abolished, but in money terms it is only a crust from a loaf of bread, a few cents out of 10 euros. Have a nice day!

Following the elections, the United List will receive about €1.3 million in state funding per year, while the other parties will receive less than a million.

Excellent. With all the crap that will soon have to be spooned, cut, reduced, eliminated – the ever sun-basked Kulberg will either have to take it all on himself, fight with NA over transit, cargo and migration (and God forbid catch JV saboteurs) and experience the classic “from love to hate is one step”, or include LPV along with NA. AS+NA is not a four-year government; there will be a lid on the economy, the public sector, the budget, etc., not to mention RailB and Article 13B of the climate law. He may not have understood that AS’s result comes not from his charm, but purely from the hatred of what JV has done, about which he is “shocked” every day in his videos, having experienced JV sabotage about 3 times a day in 4 months. And how could I have lost by not even running at all is unclear.

@DmitrijsMironov @E_Stendzenieks probably @SlesersAinars will try to convince that this is a great success 😂😂😂

Rasima, who in the Saeima Human Rights and Public Affairs Committee dealt with Russification and imposition of the Russian language on the media, will no longer be in the Saeima. 🇱🇻🇱🇻🇱🇻 I am especially pleased that @Ivars_Abolins has become a Saeima deputy, and this is a logical development. Society has appreciated Ivars' historical role in the security of Latvia's information space. There are two events behind this! 1️⃣ Latvia was one of the first EU countries to introduce a ban on brainwashing people with Kiselyov's zombie channels. That was not an easy decision for @NEPLPadome, and nothing is self-evident. 2️⃣ Despite the anti-state howling of @zurnalistilv, under Ivars' leadership NEPLP expelled Dozhd @tvrain from Latvia, which pretended to be 'good Russians' but in reality praised Russian occupiers in Ukraine. ✅ Great and noble deeds still await Ivars. I am sure he is ready for a ministerial position, and not only in the cultural field! #Ivars

I agree!

Of course, you can use Milei/ARG numbers to cover up the unwillingness to abolish ministries, saying that the real budget deficit is erased precisely by cutting public spending. BUT. The symbolic aspect is no less important here — if you, guys, want the people to believe you, then the 4 superfluous ministries MUST be abolished. And that must be done at the first government meeting. Together with the SIF and the MAF. It is like toppling Okupeklis in Pārdaugava — symbolism is just as important, if not more important. Because in 4 years this state cannot be put in order, and you do want to be re-elected, right? So you must not wimp out, ok?

@garfis12345 Look at what and how has happened in the country over the years. And think about why.
