Congratulations to @AndrisKulbergs on AS's convincing victory in the Saeima elections! The voters' trust unprecedented in Latvia's history is also an extremely high responsibility to live up to that trust. I wish Mr. Kulbergs and AS to prioritize Latvia's security, growth, Latvianness, and people.🇱🇻🇪🇺

@I_Spilbergs @Kuskis I agree!
From@I_Spilbergs@guntarsv @Kuskis If the "sifi and jonītes bags" are not touched, it will be impossible to convince people to accept that "(free services) for 800 USD per inhabitant" are being taken away.

After the elections, the “United List” will be entitled to maximum state funding (1)
Foreign journalists praise Kulbergs, but point to one crucial question that will decide everything further.
@CerinsAivis @Apvienotais_ Aivis, thank you for your patriotic stance! 💪🇱🇻🎯
From@CerinsAivisThis was an excellent segment of life's school. Intense, rapid, and also painful, seeing the result. I was and am ready to stand and fall for Latvia, despite being crossed out🫡 Many thanks to the thousands who gave their vote to @Apvienotais_ 🤝 https://t.co/rR1fIxVSrA

From@JanisIesalnieksWe will soon see how Šuvajevs takes over Briškens's mattress in the LSM premises, telling from morning to night how important and right it would be to include the Progressives in @AndrisKulbergs's government. #DejaVu

@akberzins It is unclear why AS and NA would not have ideological contradictions with JV? JV are just like PRO.
From@akberzinsThis morning there is great relief that Šlesers’ bulldozer will not manage to enter the government🙏 A stable coalition of AS, NA and perhaps JV would be a good outcome. They would not have to take Pro, with ideological contradictions, into the government. Finally, Lembergs’ ZZS project has also been pushed out of the Saeima👏. We can hope for a more decisive and capable coalition. I am afraid, though, of everything that will come with the AS political project with so many mandates 👀. I hope there will be a coalition that can continue the work with an emphasis on security, on completing the decolonization of russia, as well as on economic growth in tandem with taming the budget deficit. It will not be simple work. It is possible that low voter turnout this time benefited the bright forces and lulled the “protest votes” for LPV and Stabilitātei. But either way, a third of the Saeima is still the pro-Russian wing🤬. We are slowly getting off russia’s drug needle….

From@kmathernovaRussia has a message for foreign diplomats in Kyiv: leave, or risk your lives. Our answer: We are staying. The EU Delegation is staying. Jūlija Stepaņenko does not intend to remain silent in opposition - reveals to her supporters what she has planned.
@CardinalisRavus @EdvardsSmiltens @AndrisKulbergs The UN Human Rights Declaration clearly states that rules cannot differ between women and men. SK is an example of misandry that violates human rights.
From@CardinalisRavus.@EdvardsSmiltens Are you stupid or are you pretending, when you were asked to answer why Līdaka, aka 'that's how I want it', is the most crossed-out deputy of these elections? ZZS has dropped out, Ainārs has messed up, Līdaka is crossed out. Don't rummage around human rights. Where is @AndrisKulbergs? https://t.co/dP6N2ZGbTz

"Took a bite" out of everyone, and "devoured" some outright: political scientist on the Kulbergs phenomenon
“Painful, seeing the result…” Aivis Ceriņš does not hide his emotions upon learning the people’s assessment in the previous elections.
The most expensive parliamentary mandate "cost" New Unity, the cheapest — Stepanenko's party. The "price" of a mandate ranges from 9,200 to 53,200 euros.
We have been working on the budget measures for all these 4 months. On the table before the Prime Minister and a very narrow circle lies a longish thing that I call the 'bloody list'. Because all of these are difficult/unpopular decisions. Otherwise the budget cannot be put in order, since the popular slogans about optimising officials and individual siphons and Jonīte's handbags are mathematically cents (compared with the budget deficit). The most direct analogy is Milei. Publicly he went with a saw and abolished ministries (popular), but in fact he eliminated the deficit by limiting public spending (free services) by USD 800 per inhabitant (very unpopular). We have a similar choice; no other exists, even though 99.99% of the public does not understand that. It is not my job to carry these proposals to the people; we only gave the menu (restaurant menu), the main thing will be the resolve to decide politically, in the coalition, and that requires courage. Until the elections they promised candies; that is not hard. Now there will or will not be a moment of truth, because reforms have only one year. After that, elections again, the circus will resume. That is why the ministry was silent all this time (they reproached us for 'doing nothing'). Only what the Prime Minister now takes upon himself to do will be published. Otherwise it does not work; the Finance Ministry is just bookkeepers showing what can be done at all. Restaurant menu. Others simply do not understand. For example, ministries can also be abolished, but in money terms it is only a crust from a loaf of bread, a few cents out of 10 euros. Have a nice day!
From@KuskisThe @guntarsv who is usually active on X is silent. I understand that the mandate for Milei-style reforms has been given, but it will be very difficult to implement it with the AS hockey players, the green, moldy ones, and the wind-city residents. @guntarsv, sharpen the saw.

“It was 11%, but in the morning only 1%” – representative of the party “Stabilitātei!” reviews the votes and reveals whether Rosļikovs will return to Riga today.
Stepaņenko promises to actively work also in the Saeima opposition.
@saliktengriba @MartaKotello Only one in ten supports, so they do not support progressive ideas.
From@saliktengribaAs much as I support PRO in Riga (understanding of the urban environment), as much as I do not support [them] in the Saeima (immigration etc.). However, it is interesting that despite competitors' criticism, the Progressives have the greatest support in the Grīziņkalns neighbourhood compared with other neighbourhoods. So - bring it on @MartaKotello! https://t.co/djZaFvYAiU
