"United List" will reach the ceiling: how much the state will allocate to parties in 2027
After the elections, the “United List” will be entitled to maximum state funding (1)
Foreign journalists praise Kulbergs, but point to one crucial question that will decide everything further.
We have been working on the budget measures for all these 4 months. On the table before the Prime Minister and a very narrow circle lies a longish thing that I call the 'bloody list'. Because all of these are difficult/unpopular decisions. Otherwise the budget cannot be put in order, since the popular slogans about optimising officials and individual siphons and Jonīte's handbags are mathematically cents (compared with the budget deficit). The most direct analogy is Milei. Publicly he went with a saw and abolished ministries (popular), but in fact he eliminated the deficit by limiting public spending (free services) by USD 800 per inhabitant (very unpopular). We have a similar choice; no other exists, even though 99.99% of the public does not understand that. It is not my job to carry these proposals to the people; we only gave the menu (restaurant menu), the main thing will be the resolve to decide politically, in the coalition, and that requires courage. Until the elections they promised candies; that is not hard. Now there will or will not be a moment of truth, because reforms have only one year. After that, elections again, the circus will resume. That is why the ministry was silent all this time (they reproached us for 'doing nothing'). Only what the Prime Minister now takes upon himself to do will be published. Otherwise it does not work; the Finance Ministry is just bookkeepers showing what can be done at all. Restaurant menu. Others simply do not understand. For example, ministries can also be abolished, but in money terms it is only a crust from a loaf of bread, a few cents out of 10 euros. Have a nice day!
From@KuskisThe @guntarsv who is usually active on X is silent. I understand that the mandate for Milei-style reforms has been given, but it will be very difficult to implement it with the AS hockey players, the green, moldy ones, and the wind-city residents. @guntarsv, sharpen the saw.

Andris Kulbergs told how he relaxed before election night and dedicated special words to his wife.
Thank you to everyone who voted for @partijaMMN in the elections! Including more than 1,500 of those who supported me. The election results are visible to everyone. @AndrisKulbergs and the United List have won by a very large margin – congratulations to them! This credit of trust is very large (42 mandates) and gives the opportunity to form a new, capable government in a short time. The previous legacy is heavy, there are extremely many problems to solve – growing debt, falling birth rate, bloated public sector, etc. Good luck!
I congratulate the United List and especially Andris Kulbergs on an exceptionally convincing victory in the elections! Thank you to all MMN supporters who came to the elections and voted for changing the rules! A proper analysis of the results will require a proper sleep, but even after a couple of hours of sleep it is clear that the results are not what we had hoped for. Overall, we finish in eighth place with approximately 3.4% of the vote. In Riga we came seventh, elsewhere lower in position, yet in Vidzeme, Zemgale and Kurzeme with higher percentages than in Riga. The main thing is that our work does not end at all. It is only beginning. The easy path to having a say on the first attempt did not work out for us; we will have to take the long road. And so we will continue what we have started, which has already grown with the experience of the first battle — we will build a proper, right-wing, nationally conservative, ideologically grounded party that offers to lift Latvian politics out of empty chatter and leftist expertism, salvation from the sure path towards total over-regulation, from drowning in debt and losing sovereignty. But for now, changing Latvia's course from the trajectory towards the abyss to something else has been entrusted to Kulbergs. From extra-parliamentary opposition we will continue to supply Kulbergs with ideas on how to do it. If the United List does not go into the small coalition with NA, then nothing good shines for restricting immigration. Without our active criticism and ideological impetus from outside, the elected parliament will not be good at all. That is why we cannot afford any three-year vacation. Latvia now needs not only creative MMN campaigning, but a real contribution from the sidelines, so that this convincing United List victory does not become Latvia's big loss. The relevance of the electoral reform we proposed will only be increased by the United List's result, because the Saeima will now fill with at least a dozen or so people who have more minuses than pluses, and about whom the wider public knows little. The larger the percentage for a party, the greater the bandwagon effect. To understand the degree of the United List's bandwagoning, it is enough to know that the day before the lists were submitted, a candidate who had also participated in our political council a couple of times suddenly refused to take part in our list, agreed to take part in the United List's list, and will now be an MP, elected there with a high number. Thank you for your support! My head is completely unclear; these are only first thoughts.

Kulbergs: Only parties ready to support serious changes should work in the government.
The politician emphasized that the exit poll data cannot yet be considered final election results, but they show a positive trend for AS. In his view, the voters' ballot confirms an understanding that the country needs change. The politician expressed the opinion that the previous approach is no longer sustainable and the next government will also have to make unpopular decisions https://t.co/NV4Yv1ze6z
From@letanewslvResults of the voter poll (exit poll) indicate a public demand for significant changes in state administration, and the next government should be formed only with those political forces that are ready to support difficult decisions and spending cuts, Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs from the United List told LETA.

From@katrinailjinskaOr also this wonderful instrument. We sell quotas and with that money buy up associations and media to promote the idea of the “green course”. But this is not done directly by the state, but through a separate LLC that is also owned by KEM... so, a state capital company, it is not shown in any common budget. #200mio @Talis_L @AndrisKulbergs https://t.co/uESiCIXELG
