@mansviedoklis1 @AndrisKulbergs @ivchix The Prime Minister got confused, humanly forgivable, given the workload that most of us could hardly handle. Including me. But politics is an arena for mockery, it comes with the office, so now go ahead and sneer😏
From@mansviedoklis1@guntarsv @AndrisKulbergs @ivchix So in the prime minister's view, everything should be cut - emergency services, security services - because then 2 billion could be saved?

From@citskovskisjKulbergs in the LTV election debate confused several things. In the 2026 state budget, of the total almost 18 billion eur in expenditures, 2 billion eur are allocated to Remuneration. This is not remuneration only for 3,500 ministry employees, but for all state budget institutions combined. Starting with Saeima deputies, ministers, judges, prosecutors, soldiers, police, firefighters, VID, NMPD, teachers in state educational institutions, etc. In addition to remuneration, the 2026 state budget also has the following expenditure categories - goods and services 1.2, interest payments 0.7, subsidies 4.4, social payments 6.6, payments to the EU 0.5, transfers 1.5, capital expenditures 0.9 billion eur. In ministry employee salaries, one can allegedly find savings of 2 billion… Is that really true or did Kulberg misspeak?
@nezinu46 @AndrisKulbergs @ivchix In the ministries work about 3500 people, more precisely 3700. The salary budget is around 140 million per year, average gross salary 2.5k.
From@nezinu46@guntarsv @AndrisKulbergs @ivchix So how many are those ministries?

Society is taught to rely on facts, but populists show that one can be successful by ignoring facts. Facts are not needed to become prime minister and move towards victory in elections. So many numbers are being manipulated that it will be difficult to refute them all. That is a method which, as can be seen, is successful.
From@ivchixIt is said that a 2 billion saving can be found in ministry employees' salaries, says @AndrisKulbergs in LTV debates. Over how many years was that intended? https://t.co/GKgruV72bS

Everyone, of course, can misspeak or make a mistake with a number, but Kulbergs 2x during the debates, even when specifically asked, and then still claims here that 3500 ministry employees cost 2 billion. Thus showing his “very precise calculations”. That is no longer just incompetence, it's even worse :)
From@AndrisKulbergs@ivchix Actually, I said that the entire state apparatus, 3500 employees together, costs €2 billion, not savings, pointing out that it is not a large sum compared to state procurement and other cost items.

How to evaluate the 100 days of the Kulberg government? What is Andris Šuvajevs worried about? How expensive is keeping airBaltic in the air? These and other questions are discussed by "Ir" colleagues Ieva Jakone, @AivarsOzo and @raudseps. 🔗 https://t.co/3uMOLy6Vlv https://t.co/0IeEBUPy5C
To clarify. The 1.9 billion is the compensation amount that includes defense (soldiers, national guards), as well as internal affairs (police, border guard, State Fire and Rescue Service), justice, and part of health (e.g., Emergency Medical Service). About 60% of this amount goes to security and order sectors, not to bureaucrats in offices. There are about 12 thousand bureaucrats.

What, please? 3500 employees - 2 billion costs?🤡 Maybe someone in the prime minister's family could take away his Twitter? https://t.co/4ohJ8BLuMg

Dombrovskis suggests that by 2030 the EU could have new member states.
An emergency government meeting will be held on 'airBaltic'
Re:Check verifies: what did parties fulfill in the social sphere from what was promised before the previous Saeima elections?
Welcome!
The Ministry of Health promised that no regional hospital would see its total funding reduced, and the essence of the document adopted by the government is completely different from how regional hospitals have perceived it, says Edgars Tavars.
From@KNL_LTV1Edmunds Jurēvics (JV) emphasizes that the hospital network reform will not be rushed; it will be implemented over four years, also taking into account the state budget possibilities and providing additional funding for regional hospitals. Already next year, an additional 15 million euros will be needed for this.

@BrencisA @JolantaKublins1 in their 100 days they did what they promised - Istanbul, partnerships, etc. Also the budget - I sharply criticized that. Kulbergs not only hasn't done anything. It's clear he doesn't even know how to start doing something. He floats with the current and just chatters.
From@BrencisA@JurgisLiepnieks @JolantaKublins1 Well, you didn't ask for such reports after 100 days of work.
