From@Apvienotais_✅ VARAM and LDDK: common understanding on business development in Riga and regions. The Ministry of Smart Administration and Regional Development Minister Edgars Tavars met with the Latvian Employers' Confederation council to discuss the ministry's work priorities for the coming months and current business environment issues. The goal of the meeting was to strengthen cooperation between the state and employers to promote entrepreneurship. During the conversation, both sides affirmed a common vision on the need to reduce bureaucracy, strengthen municipalities' motivation for business development, and create a purposeful Riga development and industrialization policy. Improvements to state ICT governance, sustainable use of natural resources, and priorities for the next EU funds planning period were also discussed. The minister emphasized that Riga must compete with Tallinn, Vilnius, Stockholm, and Helsinki, not with Latvian cities, while stressing that a strong capital city and strong regions are mutually complementary prerequisites for Latvia's growth. At the end of the meeting, VARAM and LDDK confirmed readiness to continue close cooperation to drive changes important for the business environment and strengthen Latvia's competitiveness. #APVIENOTAISSARAKSTS #LDDK #Reģioni #EdgarsTavars

@Apvienotais_ It hasn't even been reviewed in the first reading yet.
From@Apvienotais_✅ Finally done: 10% tax without bureaucracy and paperwork! What changes? 🔹 No registration with the SRS - provide services without registering economic activity. 🔹 No declarations - forget about complex forms and reports. 🔹 The bank does everything - using a business account, the bank automatically withholds 10% tax and sends it to the state. This is a long-awaited step to reduce the administrative burden and allow people to work legally, without unnecessary stress. If annual turnover does not exceed €25,000, an individual no longer has to do anything - just do their work! We promised to simplify the system, and we have done it. Less paperwork, more time for what really matters. #APVIENOTAISSARAKSTS #Done #10Percent #Simple #NoBureaucracy

This norm protects civil servants from political pressure. I see no reason not to organize a competition right now. Proposing changes to the law is disproportionate action in the current situation.
From@AndrisKulbergs@JonasSeniorJo @suvajevs This is the worst example of a systemic disease in Latvia (bureaucratically ruining the entire system because of one case), where instead of reacting to one incorrect event, you broke the entire system. Now I have to fix this mistake.

Kulbergs hasn't even squeaked about the liquidation of the Climate Ministry, the shutting down of the SIF, halting the airBaltic subsidy, revising the Saeima election law, denouncing the Migration Pact, selling student visas, security checks of city mayors by security institutions, cancelling subsidies for electric car purchases, the ban on burning peat, etc. decisions initiated, supported and implemented by JV, PRO, ZZS. Why should he be considered a revolutionary? He now signs students' diplomas.
From@AgneseMargevicaLatvian politics. Despair is rapidly turning into hysteria. “Dear people, listen! He is not the real revolutionary! I am, I am, dear people! He is a fake prime minister!” https://t.co/KxmmWtu74x

Kučinskis to Kulbergs: Either you will dictate your agenda or events will carry you so that you won't know day from night.
In A. Kulbergs' government declaration, there is an agreement on centralized management of state capital companies. Today in the Saeima, the vote on the obligation for the government to prepare a centralization proposal was rejected. It is already becoming difficult to understand what the coalition's true positions are.
Pūce gives advice to Kulbergs: Let the prime minister check the drawers of his cabinet...
From@suvajevsWhat is @edgarsrinkevics’s assessment of A. Kulbergs’s decision to invite a ZZS representative to continue leading the Ministry of Agriculture? Coalition compromises are understandable, but this is about a ministry with a fresh audit of poor governance, manipulation of profits, and potential corruption. https://t.co/9YczSeP0vd

🙌 LDDK Director General @KasparsGorkss met on 19 May with the presidential candidate for Prime Minister @AndrisKulbergs to discuss the priorities of a potential new government. 🗣️ “We wish Andris Kulbergs success in forming a new, capable government with support in the Saeima. The new government needs to agree on a short but achievable to-do list, and it can fully count on our support as social partners, because we understand what it means to take responsibility five months before elections. We expect a clear, decisive analysis from the new government of what is needed for our National Armed Forces so that in peacetime we do not live as in wartime. We have both security experts and funding. We must conclude what needs to change so that the life of a whole region is not constantly paralyzed and society is not in fear. That must be a priority for both the government and the armed forces,” said LDDK Director General Kaspars Gorkss. ✅ From the LDDK side, the position on the need to review state budget spending is supportable, and it is also necessary to strengthen the efficiency of public administration. We propose renewing the memorandum agreement signed by the three political forces forming the potential core of the government and will place at Andris Kulbergs' disposal the experience gathered in the 2026 budget review process.
It is hard to imagine how a kindergarten director would sneak into work late at night to commit crimes that need to be investigated by @KNABinforme. @Apvienotais proposes to exclude such institution directors from the circle of state officials. There is a lively discussion about this in the Saeima State and Local Government Commission.
