From@katrinailjinska...almost as much as the Civic Alliance receives from the Cabinet of Ministers for recording the minutes of the Memorandum Council meetings in one year and getting together to talk with @AndrisKulbergs. That we can do. We cannot compensate a child for a rare disease medication that would return them to a full life – we have to collect donations. https://t.co/Y5zab5OLmm

Kulbergs comments on the demand to replace the health minister
Prime Minister's communication advisor Elīna Šverna informed the LETA agency that, in Kulbergs's assessment, the concerns expressed by the Latvian Health and Social Care Workers' Union regarding wages and sector funding are fully understandable, but changing the minister so shortly before elections will not solve problems that have persisted for years https://t.co/HbieluOnm1

@ZaniteSkujina Mr. Smiltēns has shown us that laws can be changed in one evening. As a patient, it is unclear what is being piloted. Okay, I went to a private doctor, paid, helped the state reduce the queue, but in return I expect that I can still take the next steps in the state-funded system.
From@ZaniteSkujina@instant_mk I understood from the Ministry of Health that a pilot project is currently underway to find the best solution to this problem. So far the argument is that a private doctor has no contract with NVD. This really is not fair and has been in the view of Saeima colleagues for ~2 years already. However, progress is terribly slow.

From@Apvienotais_Greetings from Balvi! Juris Viļums together with Raimonds Bergmanis, Ināra Groce and Aivars Bačkurs today in Balvi meet with residents to discuss one of the most pressing issues in Latgale – the future of hospitals. Both in Balvi and Preiļi, people need to know what healthcare accessibility will be like in the future and how necessary medical services will be provided as close to home as possible. Decisions about the future of regional hospitals cannot be made without listening to people, medics, and municipalities. Healthcare must be accessible regardless of whether a person lives in Riga, Balvi, or Preiļi. #APVIENOTAISSARAKSTS #LatvijaMumsIrRisinājums #7saraksts #Balvi #Preiļi #Latgale
