From@Afanasijs@CerinsAivis @maris_mezals Aivi, you understand very well that the guy who not so long ago became notorious for trashing everything that isn't LPV from his anonymous accounts will keep filling the airwaves with empty blather!

“I will no longer drink alcohol” – Uzulnieks ready to accept Saeima mandate after 3.09 per mille
@ivchix @Apvienotais_ There was. But in the end I gave it to a lady who was late and there were no vests left. Somewhere I even saw pictures of myself still wearing a vest.
From@ivchix@Apvienotais_ so, I have only one question: why hasn't @poznaks been assigned a yellow vest?

✅ The excise duty reduction allows the fuel price to be lowered by 8 cents. To make the reduction bigger, two more ministries still have to do their homework; ✅ There is no basis to talk about tax increases next year; ✅ Reforms must be carried out so that around 2030 we do not find ourselves in a deep 'hole' https://t.co/UdOIAf9R4T
VIDEO: Uzulnieks will not give up his parliamentary mandate if elected; promises not to drink alcohol. Ex-minister was caught driving drunk.

Yes, they are. The SKDS ratings you saw in the news were compiled from 04.09 to 14.09, so already a week old by the time they were published. However, they show a clear trend: support for the old parties is falling, while MMN is growing. Undecided voters usually vote for newcomers. This time MMN and ASL. Still, I advise not to be influenced by statistics. Ratings are overt campaigning. You cannot base your choice on them, because any answer to 'who will you vote for?' can fluctuate not by days but by hours, depending on a new scandal, etc. You should vote for what you like, not for whether it can or cannot cross the threshold. A person falls in love and circles around what they like, without asking whether something will work out.
From@ruuzis@Krusts3 Are there any signals indicating that MMN will get over 5% (since SKDS and Latvijas Fakti show the opposite)? I could vote, but I don't want to proportionally give my vote to SV.

@AntraPriedniec1 @miks_eu @inesevoika That is exactly how it shows. Celmiņš wants something to be sorted out here, but the Indian students themselves would stay. Normal people want Indian students not to be in Latvia at all. It is necessary to refuse them, because Latvians have not agreed to live together with Indians.
From@AntraPriedniec1@zuravlevs @miks_eu @inesevoika How does this lobby manifest itself? Miks tirelessly explains to everyone how important it is to sort out this issue. Why refuse to let people who want to study do so? It is important that this issue is sorted out and transparent!

JV expects a clear position from the prime minister on the constitutional amendments proposed by LPV.
From@MrMadisAnd where is the catch, why don't the PRO scumbags indicate such an elementary thing as nationality? Ashamed of something? They could have just been turbo mega progressive and then also not indicated gender, because they themselves fight for all sorts of 100 genders 😀😀😀 https://t.co/LfcTvA9JG7

ST informed the LETA agency that, when imposing a lifetime ban, the legislator had not taken into account either the differing nature of criminal offences, or the person's age at the time of the offence, or the time elapsed since the offence, or the fact that a person's behaviour and value system may change over time https://t.co/A4lPazf7yU
Day No. 82 in the prime minister's chair (WEDNESDAY, 23 Sept.) — SIF fund, FICL investors, the aftertaste of sanctions Today many conversations — with NRA, https://t.co/IMm1XXqGWI, “Postimees” and FICIL foreign investors. In between, work on public administration and the SIF reorganization. 🇪🇺 SANCTIONS — WHAT DO WE LEARN FROM THIS? Yesterday we prevented the collapse of the entire EU sanctions regime. Sanctions against more than 2,600 supporters of Russia's war have been extended for 3 years (36 months). For Usmanov and Fridman we immediately imposed national sanctions in Latvia. FID confirmed today — the freezing of their funds and economic resources in Latvia continues without interruption. The media also wrote a lot today about disagreements in the government. My goal is not to look for conflict. My duty is to ensure that next time Latvia in such a situation does not end up alone in its position at the last moment. The Baltic states must coordinate in advance and speak with one voice on important security issues. 🌍 FICL INVESTORS NEED A PREDICTABLE LATVIA Together with Finance Minister @MarisKucinskis and the Economics Minister's secretary, I met with representatives of the Foreign Investors' Council in Latvia FICIL. Investors do not need another beautiful presentation. They need predictable rules, fast state decisions, accessible human resources and confidence that a project started in Latvia can also be completed. The main thing investors wanted to hear — a vision in energy (clarity on a predictable price); a clearly defined migration policy — what is allowed and what is not; plans and investments in security; solutions for relaxing bank capital repair Our task — less bureaucracy, a more stable tax policy and a state administration that helps investments come in, rather than chasing them around offices for years. ⛽️ 8 CENTS IS NOT 20 CENTS The first solutions are moving through the Saeima to reduce fuel prices by about eight cents per litre from 1 October. FinMin @MarisKucinskis submitted in time the amendments to the law on a reduced excise duty to the lowest permitted level; EkMin @ViktorsValainis had to bring the deferred fuel reserve surcharge (-8 cents/litre), which the minister should have already brought; An additional saving is possible from cancelling the bio-additive in fuel, which is in the hands of KEM minister @JanisVitenbergs, but it must be admitted that the -4 cent saving may not materialise, because most fuel traders have already concluded contracts for the winter season. This is a step in the right direction, but it is not enough. My set goal was up to 20 cents per litre, so the work is not finished. People at the fuel pump checkout do not care which ministry prepared which document. They care about the final price. 🏛️ SIF REORGANISATION PLAN With the Culture Minister we discussed the reorganisation of the Society Integration Foundation. Reorganisation must not be just drawing new boxes in a diagram. It must be clear where every euro goes, what result it produces and which functions the state really needs. The same applies to remote work in public administration. It can work where the result is measurable. But it cannot be an automatic privilege if productivity is falling and people receive state services more slowly. Today there were more microphones than meeting tables. That too is part of the prime minister's job — not only to make decisions, but to answer for them. The public must be explained the decisions
Uzulnieks, if elected, will nevertheless accept the mandate of a Saeima deputy and will focus on reducing addiction problems.

If Uzulnieks is elected, he will accept the deputy's mandate and work on solving the addiction problem.
Uzulnieks will not refuse the Saeima deputy mandate if elected.
Why are Russian-speaking people not invited to learn Latvian? How can wages be raised and taxes lowered at the same time? Why are so many AI-generated videos being produced during the pre-election period? That is what young voters wanted to ask Ainārs Šlesers, the prime ministerial candidate of "Latvija pirmajā vietā". But he refused to answer "Ir"'s questions. 🗳️ Before the elections, we gathered young people in the "Ir" newsroom, who explained what issues concern them and what they expect from the next Saeima. They also had the opportunity to ask politicians questions they were interested in. Follow other candidates' answers in our social networks!
