Do you still have any questions how “national-conservative” hunveibini are in NA candidate ranks?

💚 Thank you for the high rating. We take it as a responsibility to continue working.
The Association of Economists has evaluated parties' economic programmes, their ability to offer concrete answers to the challenges of Latvia's economy, as well as leader and expert teams.
📈 We are glad that the New Unity offer and team received a high rating in this assessment. Special mention was given to the professional and international experience of our people, as well as experience in various economic sectors. Also, our prime ministerial candidate @aseradens's strengths in the assessment are experience in sectors, professional development and international experience.
At the same time, the Association of Economists also points to shortcomings in parties' proposals, including the need to balance plans much more precisely with the state's financial possibilities. We take that seriously.
A good rating is pleasant, but most important will be the ability to turn plans into real work for the growth of Latvia's economy.

🎾 “The biggest problem is not weapons. The biggest problem is in people’s minds.” Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has changed European security, but Artis Pabriks believes that Latvia’s biggest task is to change society’s way of thinking. About why we don’t need to think about where to flee, how security can become an opportunity for an economic breakthrough, and why Latvia must be able to make bold decisions – in this conversation.

We are responding to Russia’s brutal strikes against life. Last night, thanks to our long-range sanctions, two oil refineries were hit – in Perm and Novoshakhtinsk. There were also hits on the Iskra Plant defense enterprise in Ulyanovsk, and the occupiers now have two fewer radar stations in the Rostov region. I thank our warriors and every unit involved for their accuracy and for systematically limiting Russia’s ability to kill. Glory to Ukraine!
As Chair of the Saeima European Affairs Committee, together with parliamentarians from the Baltic states, Poland, and other European countries, I have signed a joint call to very responsibly assess the lifting of sanctions on persons who have been associated with the Russian regime and its aggression against Ukraine. Excluding such persons from the EU sanctions list creates a dangerous precedent and could weaken Europe's common sanctions policy at a time when Russia's aggression in Ukraine continues. Latvia has already acted by applying national sanctions. We also call on other European countries to follow Latvia's example and not allow pressure on the Russian regime and its supporters to be reduced. 🇱🇻🇺🇦🇪🇺 More: https://t.co/WYrTw4wd3I

I read the party programs. New Unity. We will raise the minimum wage to 50% of the average (damn socialists). We will strengthen the NBS and the Zemessardze (I always thought that the Zemessardze was part of the NBS). State administration from process to result. (Where were you before?????). NO!
Latvia must not be flooded with cheap foreign labor; we reject the criticism from business organizations. We have heard the concerns of businesses, but Latvia's economic development cannot in the long term be based on the ever-increasing import of labor from third countries. Employers, when planning business development and labor needs, must reconsider their business directions so that business operations are not based on attracting labor from third-country nationals. It is the state's duty to determine how much immigration Latvia can accept and control. Economic interests must be assessed together with national security, social cohesion, and the capacity of internal affairs services. Responding to objections raised by the Foreign Investors Council in Latvia (FICIL), the Confederation of Latvian Employers (LDDK), and the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LTRK) to the proposal to set quotas for employing third-country nationals, Interior Minister Jānis Dombrava rejects the criticism and emphasizes that Latvia's economic development must not be based on the ever-increasing import of cheap labor from third countries. The Ministry of the Interior has submitted to the TAP portal a draft Cabinet regulation based on the Immigration Law provision and the comprehensive immigration restriction plan approved by the government this week, providing for quotas for foreigners entitled to employment in Latvia. The Ministry of the Interior has developed the regulation and initially proposes setting the quota at 2% of Latvia's population, equivalent to this year's level. The quota will later be reviewed based on opinions from competent authorities, taking into account national security risks and the demographic situation. In the comprehensive immigration restriction plan approved by the government, the quota system is one instrument alongside other measures to strengthen control of legal and illegal migration. The Ministry of the Interior continues work on implementing the measures provided for in the comprehensive immigration restriction plan and developing the necessary regulation.

EU member states in their regulatory acts incorporate what is provided in EU directives. Simply a fact. Intent is not to be 'assessed'. If intent is established, then the person is held accountable. Absence of intent excludes liability.
@AndrejsJudins@Saeimas_JK In your answer I see two hidden snubs: reference to the directive as justification (not Latvian necessity, importance, but precisely an order from outside or from above) and 'intent'... How is it possible to assess intent? Are the tragic penalties in recent years related to intentions, or what?
