From@kaukacmurgs@suvajevs Oh, your f**king party could have existed quietly. 🤦 3 ministers, all failed like old fences. 💩

Deputies will assess the amendments to the Constitution proposed by LPV stipulating that only two genders exist (1)
@ArmandsK55554 @Progresivie That is an academic concept — it is not found in either https://t.co/Kj8bcQfwy1 or Latvian laws. It is one of the types of murder whose cause is prejudice directed against the victim's gender or social hatred (in a broad sense).

From@the_ins_ruDaddy's girl. Who is vying for the prime minister's seat in Latvia https://t.co/cPBSVf07ty Return the Russian language to schools, preserve monuments and not fund 'military conflicts' — promises the increasingly popular party 'Sovereign Power' in Latvia. Its leader Yulia Stepanenko is applying for the post of prime minister. However, as The Insider found out, the candidate for deputy has close ties with her father Sergei Fedotov in Russia. He gives his daughter large sums of money and real estate, while supporting the Russian army and maintaining acquaintances with former arms baron Viktor Bout. The Insider's film crew went to Latvia and tried to figure out who Russian-speakers vote for, whether they really consider themselves disadvantaged, and what influence of the Kremlin remains in the country.

From@EdmundsJurevicsToday the Saeima majority fell for a dangerous provocation by the Šlesers faction – solving non-existent problems in the style of Kremlin propaganda, dividing society and influencing the judiciary. Even before the vote, from the rostrum I called on the United List to avoid the mistake they made last autumn by allowing themselves to be drawn into the story of denouncing the Istanbul Convention, but to my unpleasant surprise, today too AS deputies not only voted for the Šlesers' provocation, but many AS deputies also shouted claims during the Saeima session that they would support the denunciation of the convention against violence in the next Saeima. On behalf of the @Jauna_Vienotiba faction, I call on @AndrisKulbergs to ensure and publicly confirm what is stipulated in the coalition agreement – not amending the Constitution and not deviating from human rights standards and the independence of the judiciary.

@vienpate @Progresivie One of the common (not in Latvia) forms is honor killing - the murder of a woman or girl committed by family or community members because they consider that she has "stained" or taken away the family's "honor".
From@vienpate@AndrejsJudins @Progresivie What is femicide? The murder of a woman?

@vienpate @Progresivie Simply put, it is the murder of a woman only because she is a woman, or because in the mind of the criminal the victim's behavior does not conform to the standards of a 'proper' woman.

Follow the other candidates' answers on our social networks! Before the elections, we gathered young people in the "Ir" editorial office to explain what issues concern them and what they expect from the next Saeima. No, Dāvi, the preparation process takes time and coordination with other institutions, and I only returned from the UN today and was able to review the documents.
From@DavisVilumsThis is great news, but the most shocking thing for me is that we, as a society, are learning about this all together now, together with politicians and even with security structures. I hope I am wrong, but if I am wrong, this action looks like a pre-election ploy. https://t.co/RKWwmv6nKf

From@AgneseKrastaToday the Saeima finally supported the initiative advanced by @Jauna_Vienotiba, which from now on provides for criminal liability for individuals for participation in cartels. Cartels are not business; they are theft from society that for years has also drained state and municipal budgets. https://t.co/94fBi4UEhO
