Today the Saeima finally supported the initiative advanced by @Jauna_Vienotiba, which from now on provides for criminal liability for individuals for participation in cartels. Cartels are not business; they are theft from society that for years has also drained state and municipal budgets. https://t.co/94fBi4UEhO

@AinavaP @austsaule Thank you very much for the support🇱🇻❤️🇱🇻

I already knew that I would succeed, and see— I started talking to my sister, told her that on Oct 3 I will visit, because in the Vidzeme list you definitely must vote for @lindberga22. The conversation ended with her also voting for @austsaule! I'll go on Sunday, then we'll talk about the elections:)

Populism @Jekaba11 rides a high wave. What won't deputies offer to 'twist' before 3.10. But pre-election time also has its benefits. Today we supported in the final reading amendments to the Criminal Law that provide criminal penalties for cartelists. The attempt to do this in 2024 failed.

12th list 🇱🇻❤️🇱🇻 https://t.co/QpvHNYLHqj

Latvian democracy is self-destructing. Ukrainians gave us four years with their blood to fix the country's internal and external security. That time has been wasted. The public media and various experts have given the most generous platform to both Rosļikov's party and Stepaņenko of 'Dragon's teeth'. Even Domburs was incredibly gentle when Stepaņenko constantly took offense at legitimate questions. How easily a simple manipulation works: 'How dare you ask us about the parachute that hangs over us and about the cap with the red star?' Before that we heard what fine fellows 'Suverēnā vara' supposedly are, working well with voters. Meanwhile, 'Austošā Saule Latvijai' is excluded from most of the public media's broadcasts, but if we must be mentioned, it is with contemptuous remarks. Russia has scored all possible goals in the information war, and that is entirely the responsibility of this Saeima! You have allowed our democracy to become a 'discussion' between wolves and lambs, looking for 'common denominators'. Meanwhile, those of us who point this out are called radicals, and they don't even invite us to the discussion. 'Austošā Saule Latvijai' has fought against the Kremlinists throughout its entire existence. If necessary, we will continue to do so in street protests and with submissions to institutions that 'do not notice' that the party leader's father produces infrastructure for the army of the Ukrainian occupiers, but transfers the earned benefits to the leader herself. But most effectively we will be able to do this in the Saeima. Your choice is on October 3 - another 4 wasted years or action.

The construction council of the national concert hall 'Riga Philharmonic' met for its first meeting at the Ministry of Culture. Already during my previous term as minister, this was a high priority for me, and I am also glad that the work continues now. In order for this idea to move closer to implementation, I have approved the Riga Philharmonic construction council, which met for its first meeting today. I am confident that good cooperation and a shared belief in the goal will facilitate its implementation. 🔗More here: https://t.co/Sr9N7HaoIi

@disfiguredage Without me, ASL is @lindberga22, @Janis_Zalans, @AndrisVelps, @SandisRiekstins, @RKrumin, @E_Jans and many others. It is the team that ultimately matters to us, and allows us to achieve more. But it is your voice. Thank you for the good wishes.

@RaivisZeltits I guess this time I'm for MMN after all. If the electoral system were changed, then there would be no need to worry about parties. Because what is ASL without Zeltīts in the end? Good luck and all the best to you in any case.

In four years, I have rarely seen such great political cowardice as the United List and the National Alliance showed today. Supported for further review are both Šlesers' latest nightmares in the Constitution and Šlesers' attempts to influence an independent judiciary.

@DagnisIsaks No. That there are sectors where delegated powers should be reviewed. That we are an independent country and we may shape policy as we want.

@Krusts3 Are you thus announcing that MMN believes that Latvia should leave the EU?

JV and PRO will have to accept that there are only two genders, MAN and WOMAN! Marriage is a union between a MAN and a WOMAN! https://t.co/oMHxJkVX5l

The new coalition - NA, AS, ZZS and LPV will amend the Constitution to specify that there are two genders in Latvia. Apparently, there are problems understanding that without amending the Constitution. Kremlin propaganda has worked well in these parties. During the debate, AS deputies shouted that they would vote for withdrawal from the convention against violence (Istanbul Convention). 😤

The EU extended sanctions against Russia, but removed Usmanov and Fridman from the list. This is a very bad sign. It undeniably means that the European sanctions wall is starting to crumble for various political reasons, and the whole world sees it. In this way we give a chance to escape to anyone who is on the sanctions list, and there are about 3000 people. We will definitely discuss this in Parliament, because this must not happen.

Daddy's girl. Who is vying for the prime minister's seat in Latvia https://t.co/cPBSVf07ty The party "Sovereign Power", which is gaining popularity in Latvia, promises to bring Russian language back to schools, preserve monuments, and not fund "military conflicts". Its leader, Julia Stepanenko, aspires to become the country's prime minister. However, as The Insider found out, the candidate for deputy has close relations with her father Sergei Fedotov in Russia. He gives his daughter large sums of money and property, while supporting the Russian army and associating with former arms baron Viktor Bout. The Insider's film crew went to Latvia and tried to figure out who Russian-speakers vote for, whether they really feel discriminated against, and what influence the Kremlin still has in the country.

If a company works for the army of an aggressor state, then such a company poses risks to our national security. Entrepreneurs like S. Fedotovs should be included in the sanctions lists and all financial assets that such a person tries to transfer to Latvia should be frozen.

Today the Saeima majority fell for a dangerous provocation by the Šlesers faction – solving non-existent problems in the style of Kremlin propaganda, dividing society and influencing the judiciary. Even before the vote, from the rostrum I called on the United List to avoid the mistake they made last autumn by allowing themselves to be drawn into the story of denouncing the Istanbul Convention, but to my unpleasant surprise, today too AS deputies not only voted for the Šlesers' provocation, but many AS deputies also shouted claims during the Saeima session that they would support the denunciation of the convention against violence in the next Saeima. On behalf of the @Jauna_Vienotiba faction, I call on @AndrisKulbergs to ensure and publicly confirm what is stipulated in the coalition agreement – not amending the Constitution and not deviating from human rights standards and the independence of the judiciary.
