@kr_klavins I am interested in how many air defense systems cover the Daugava HPP… How paralyzed will our country become if a couple of drones tear it apart?

@JolantaKublins1 That will also happen soon. And Latvia's Russian prosecutor's office will start issuing criminal cases against Latvian patriots who defend their land.

❗️In the last two months, as many orders for the forced expulsion of foreigners have been issued as were counted together over the last two years❗️
In the last two months, departure orders have been issued in a volume that in other years is issued over a year.
This is only the beginning of work to streamline procedures and introduce order in the country in the field of immigration.
So far, the forced expulsion orders carried out are at an unsatisfactory volume. The Border Guard has been tasked with providing an explanation of the problems so far in implementing forced expulsion and a requirement to improve practice so that the decisions taken are effectively implemented.
Dear @Ryanair,
Ryanair rented a ballroom to announce two aircraft and Riga as this year’s “winner”. It seems their scratch cards have finally made their way from the cabin to the strategy department.
But their own announcement makes the point better than we could.
Riga has “won” this year’s round. Tallinn and Vilnius have won previous ones – and their reward this winter is a 25% capacity cut.
That exposes the paradox at the heart of Ryanair’s proposal: long-term investment cannot be re-auctioned every year. A commitment that has to be won again each season – at an ever lower price – is not much of a commitment.
The Baltics need reliable, long-term connectivity, not an annual auction to see who is prepared to offer the cheapest landing.
That is a difficult model to call a long-term connectivity strategy.

The government doesn't understand that these people will also come to Riga with their tractors. They are tired of seeing that we ourselves buy from the Russians the rope with which we will be hanged. Enough lobbying for the interests of port grain terminal owners! The railway tracks to Russia and Belarus must be dismantled immediately! https://t.co/qCoOCctcRj
🚜FARMERS PROTEST AGAINST RUSSIAN GRAIN TRANSIT | TV24 Important in 3 Minutes
Today in Jēkabpils, farmers with about 50 tractors protested demanding a halt to the transit of grain originating from Russia and its occupied territories of Ukraine through Latvia. The action was organized by the farm "Kalves".
@DavidsZalans I have always said so. I just told you again. And also directly, both to the prime minister personally and to AS deputies. To everyone, my position on this matter is completely clear. Just yesterday in Strasbourg I also said it to a Latvian journalist from Liepāja. I don't know where she will publish it.
@poznaks Where can one see that you have publicly said in the past few months specifically regarding Russian grain being transported by rail? Have you called on the government not to transport it? I haven't seen that. Have you discussed it privately with the AS Saeima deputies? If the answer to all of these is negative, then ...

I remember myself in the late 1980s, still in Soviet times. The mood around was quite gloomy, but then I heard the words of Māra Zālīte and the rock opera "Lāčplēsis". I believed that Latvia could defeat the Black Knight. And I still believe it today – Latvia can defeat its Black Knight. Today's Latvia is no longer the Latvia it was in the late 1980s. We are a free, strong European state, and much has changed for the better. But one thing has not changed – we need big dreams. One of them is the Latvia and Baltic House in Los Angeles during the Olympic Games. A place where, together with the other two Baltic states, we can show ourselves to the world – our sports, culture, art, business, and our people. It would be an opportunity to carry Latvia's name to the world far beyond the sports field. But a dream alone is not enough. Will is also needed. Athletes have the will to win. Politicians, in turn, have the task of doing their job so that our athletes can get to the Olympic Games and so that Latvia is visible there not only in competitions but also in this Baltic House. Therefore, to those politicians who will have to make these decisions, I wish exactly that – the courage to dream and the will to realize this dream.
I watched that extremely strange show, clips to take with you:
1) Rostovskis, who is not running in the elections, used the opportunity to threaten the public with the creation of a Skidrow of '~96 thousand Indian California', presumably in Ķīpsala😝
2) Kulbergs reminded that in 2044 Latvia itself would have ~4 thousand student applicants;
3) Kulbergs put forward a very valuable and supportable proposal: to take away vocational education from the Ministry of Education and give it to conditional MikroTik, Tet and other colleges.
Taking something away from the Ministry of Education - that is always a supportable proposal.☺️

Quite impressive, considering that we don't have our own currency. What are these administrations doing? It is known that some invent illiterate animal welfare requirements for farmers.

Only 2 weeks left until the Saeima elections, the amount of pre-election advertising, discussions and other activities has become intensive.
Altogether, @CVK_zinas have been submitted lists of 14 parties and political alliances, and more than 1400 candidates are competing for the hundred seats in the Saeima. @lasilvportalshttps://t.co/Id7cjrNT5Y
