From@patmalnieksjAn energy price storm is approaching. This is evidenced by rising gas prices on world exchanges. Soon there will be questions - why is electricity expensive? The answer is simple - Latvia is waiting for a lucky bear rather than learning from others how to reduce electricity prices. While other European countries build wind parks to stabilize prices, Latvia's government rejects plans and produces bureaucratic procedures to impede their construction. Lithuania has facilitated billions in investments in wind energy development, which have brought GDP growth and energy security. In Latvia, an active minority has been given free rein, which blocks development and invents ever new reasons why EIA is bad, spatial plans are wrong, etc., etc. Some municipalities have followed this minority. All this despite the fact that municipalities receive money for each installed turbine. The same municipalities then also ask the government for money for financial equalization and various projects. Apparently it is easier to lobby for additional funds in Riga than to think about regional development. Some political parties (NA and AS) also see their political future in this minority. That is a path to expensive electricity and backwardness. Changes in how we generate electricity require years of work, a pile of expert opinions and billions of investments. Investors are ready to invest, and the state must give them the opportunity to do so, in order to reduce electricity prices in the name of society's common interests.

The video shows ZZS deputy Gundars Daudze, if anyone has questions. Good that there are people who look after and help. However, it would be better to say right away that the person needs treatment and is not suitable for deputy work. But as Valainis would say, no one in ZZS has a problem with alcohol. https://t.co/Yxb0HSFOAx

"airBaltic" has found new creditors in America.
At yesterday's Arctic Summit 2026 🇫🇮 press conference, answering a journalist's question about the 🇪🇺 waning support for 🇺🇦 https://t.co/CswWyrZ4aS
From@eudebates“We Are on Borrowed Time” — Europe Must Stop Normalising Russia! Latvian Prime Minister @AndrisKulbergs delivered one of the strongest warnings of the European Arctic Summit, arguing that only Ukrainians have the right to speak of war fatigue. He said Ukraine has given Europe precious time to prepare for the worst — but warned that the continent is not using that time wisely enough. Kulbergs argued that Europe is gradually allowing Russia back into normal international life through sport, culture and music, pointing specifically to motorsport and wider sporting structures. His concern is that this process risks normalising Russia while the war continues. He also warned of a dangerous gap between what European societies understand about the war and what countries on the eastern flank see directly. #AndrisKulbergs #Ukraine #Russia #Latvia #eudebates

🔹We will ask Transport Minister Rihards Kozlovskis (JV) about the pressing issues in the transport sector, including the restructuring of airBaltic and the upcoming strike of regional carriers. 🔹After a premiere met with ovations at the Cannes Film Festival – already this week the film “Uļa” will also be presented to Latvian audiences in cinemas. Its actors and creators will visit “Rīta Panorāma”.
From@AllaKudinaNo questions for JV, which is largely responsible for the (non)implementation and cost overrun of the Rail Baltica strategic project, and for airBaltic's huge financial problems. None! The @ltvzinas journalists' attitude towards one political force is markedly complimentary and biased. Don't watch! https://t.co/6Yf0GK2BYJ

Question – how broad will the maneuvering options be?
From@kr_klavinsThis was an impressive, complimentary interview typical of public relations specialists, how everything is so good, without sharp questions from LTV “journalists” in Monday evening prime time. “New Unity” says a big thank you, will certainly thank the architects and the performers. https://t.co/z9MvuqLlYM

From@kr_klavinsLTV likes to emphasize that it is an adherent of high morals and journalistic standards, so it is strange to see how former President's press secretary Gusts Kikusta has gone from a public relations specialist to a leading journalist who interviews politicians on LTV during the pre-election period. https://t.co/ljCdEOC20m

From@r_freidenfelds‼️I am disappointed in @AndrisKulbergs. Almost not a single scrap of documents that the public has the right to read has been handed over. But overall there is a huge amount of unpublished🤯 https://t.co/FJqgsTKOLI
