“The focus in the next four years must be on the workforce in Latvia that is not fully engaged – young people, persons with disabilities, people of pre-retirement age. [..] There must be a migration policy. It cannot be like the current coalition, which talks about some plans but at the same time agrees on golden visas,” Andris Šuvajevs (Progressives) said in the #IzvēliesLatvijasNākotni debates in Riga. #Vēlēšanas2026

“The immigration issue is a matter of self-preservation of this nation. I lived in London for 10 years and saw the West decline. I don't want us to experience that. Look at what is happening in France, Sweden, Belgium, England – they are becoming Muslim countries,” Jāzeps Baško (“Mēs mainām noteikumus”) said at the #IzvēliesLatvijasNākotni debates in Riga. #Vēlēšanas2026

Ņenaševa admits in Saeima debates that she has nightmares all night. That happens when you have a dirty conscience! Let me remind you that after being elected, this woman gave an interview to Moscow's TASS, in which she promised to preserve the occupier and the Russian language in Latvia. It is also worth reading this: https://t.co/e1m2vfCVFb

“It is humiliating that we make people justify why they don't want a wind turbine in their yard. Therefore, we determine that if during the public consultation specific objections are raised – in terms of number, in terms of quality – then wind parks are not built,” said Jūlija Stepaņenko (Sovereign Power/Association of New Latvians) at the #ChooseLatviaFuture debates in Riga. #Elections2026

“We shouldn't support green energy too much, because it's not very competitive. @AndrisVelps @Braze_Baiba Yes, it is. The resolution of these crises and coming out of them differed - and for that all responsibility is 100% with Vienotība.

@JurgisLiepnieks @Braze_Baiba The 2008 crisis was for the whole world. Covid was for the whole world. The war in Ukraine caused by Russia is for the whole world. Everyone has the same "rules".

“No party had such an idea – to build a new hospital, because essentially very large resources would be poured into concrete, not into functions. What would be needed – closer cooperation, for example with Tukums Hospital, Jūrmala Hospital. We prepare the person for surgery there, take them, operate in Riga, and bring them back for recovery,” Iveta Ratinīka (LA) said in the #IzvēliesLatvijasNākotni debates in Riga. #Vēlēšanas2026

Nights in Ukrainian cities are a death lottery. You pick a corner of your home that you think is safe, listen to explosions - and hope for better. Like this family.

“This is a tragic plague that has entered the state apparatus everywhere. It has been done by the previous policy of always blaming someone. It has come to the point that every paper has 12 signatures, not one, but 12. This responsibility has dissolved. How to solve it? The civil service law must be changed,” Andris Kulbergs (AS) said in the #IzvēliesLatvijasNākotni debates in Riga. #Vēlēšanas2026

@AndrisVelps yes, @Braze_Baiba just said on TV debates that Vienotība has not been able to do anything because they had to deal with the consequences of the 2008 crisis caused by Šlesers :))))

@JurgisLiepnieks In Riga, from time to time they still refer to the legacy of Ušakovs.

@realNepareizais It is stupid to imagine that the government can set fuel prices. But who is more stupid? A politician who promises it, or a voter who believes it?🤔

Diesel fuel at Polish gas stations today costs almost €2.09/l. That is the highest price in more than 20 years! In 2022, after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, oil was ~$120 a barrel, USD exchange rate ~4.40 zloty, but diesel cost about €1.76/l. Today a barrel of oil costs ~$100, but the dollar is significantly cheaper at ~3.70 zloty. Despite that, a liter of diesel costs almost €2.09 in Poland. That's what Tusk's state looks like: less money in Poles' wallets, higher costs and new price records. Tusk promised a price of €1.20 per liter. Under his leadership, it has reached almost €2.09.

@Laurisrenpreis1 @KarlisLiepins @LV_futbols My child's football coaches are also Russian-speaking. They speak Latvian with Latvian children, Russian with Russian children. It should be one language with everyone - Latvian, unfortunately I see that many little ones don't understand the state language at all. And it continues in such a spiral..

@KarlisLiepins @LV_futbols My daughter just quit football training because the new coach Katja talks to the Russian children in Russian and the Latvian children don't understand anything. Another girl left. The cup was full. 😡
