From@citskovskisjSensing the smell of burning, JV is frantically pushing its party members into lucrative positions. Tomorrow's Cabinet meeting will consider the appointment of transport minister R. Kozlovskis's adviser Skrodele to the Liepāja SEZ board. For more than 2 years the board managed without a representative from the Ministry of Transport, but now, a month before the elections, there is such haste. The Liepāja SEZ board meets on average once a month, but the salary is around 35k a year. When members of the Cabinet and the NVO Memorandum council were paid a paltry 61 euros for attending a meeting, @AndrisKulbergs made a huge fuss. He called it 'sitting around' and eliminated the remuneration. Where has Andris disappeared this time? This time he won't eliminate it, because the Liepāja SEZ board also includes their own people from the United List. Already in 2024, the State Chancellery prepared amendments to the law to prohibit state officials from combining posts with the Liepāja SEZ and freeport boards. We also planned to significantly reduce the remuneration of board members. After lobbyists visited Siliņa, everything was adjusted. After all, we have to support our own.

From@GintsVilgerts🍄 All the “old parties” tell how terribly bad decisions were made when they themselves were not ministers, high-level officials, and simply procurement commission decision-makers. 😂 Everyone had forgotten that there is a Whistleblower Protection Law. Sorry, it is supervised by KNAB. Oh my, everyone understood that it is pointless. 🏛️ Don't be surprised if the state is in a hole. Vote for MMM on October 3! 🇱🇻☮️

From@realNepareizaisPoland wants to bring about significant changes in the EU's approach to granting asylum on its external border. Warsaw is proposing that the EU agree that people who cross the border in organized groups, using violence or damaging border infrastructure, would not have the right to international protection. Poland bases its position on Article 33(2) of the 1951 Geneva Convention. In certain cases, it allows a derogation from the principle of non-refoulement, which prevents a refugee from being sent to a country where they face persecution. Warsaw wants to achieve a broader interpretation of this exception, applying it also to persons who cross the EU's external border in an organized and violent manner. In practice, the implementation of such an approach would be particularly significant on the Polish-Belarusian border. Warsaw regards migration pressure from Belarus not as an ordinary migration crisis, but as an element of hybrid warfare conducted by Belarus and Russia. Poland wants to advance this issue at the EU level to achieve a unified approach across the Union. Thus, Warsaw's goal is to strengthen the principle that organized and violent crossing of the EU's external border cannot serve as a path to obtaining asylum in the EU.

@IvarsAuzins These are rules of each school or municipality. And they are unfounded. Getting some fresh air after classes is very healthy and it is not difficult to organize!
From@IvarsAuzinsRiga. Parents of first-graders are not allowed to take their children to class. Why? This still dates from covid times... Unrelated - there is no class schedule. In extended day classes, children are not taken outside. At lunch, the little one must show a QR code... to eat. So the ministry and content centers should be shut down.

From@Astridamains@guntarsv @janastrogonova @juris_muris @J_Hermanis But in fact, a tax system that encourages entrepreneurship and allows people to work and earn would be enough. Right now it is the opposite - they hit while they are small, not allowing anything.
