“In Latvia, we still do not have a clear energy strategy in place. That is our task to state in the next convocation. It is much more important to state not how many percent we will produce from wind or sun, [..] what is much more important for us right now are secure interconnections and storage capacities,” said Edgars Tavars (AS) at the #IzvēliesLatvijasNākotni debate in Jelgava. #Vēlēšanas2026

Renewable energy is beneficial both for people and Latvian entrepreneurs. It is technology transfer, it is investments, it is independence. We see even in Lithuania, developing these wind and solar parks, there are not only these parks, there are also knowledge, competencies and overall industry development,” said Atis Švinka (“Progresīvie”) at the #IzvēliesLatvijasNākotni debates in Jelgava. #Vēlēšanas2026

“At present, the European Union has become very liberalized, and it is now losing competitiveness to China itself, which does not respect any climate conditions. [..] All this European money intended for the Green Deal must be reallocated in favor of the security of the Baltics, Finland, and Poland,” Edmunds Zivtiņš (LPV) said in the #ChooseLatvia'sFuture debates in Jelgava. #Elections2026

@DJvalters @JanisIesalnieks I have no doubt that this does not correspond to reality. We have been traveling around various Latvian cities and regions for some time. They know us and support us. Of course, there are those who will never vote for national parties, but they say so.

@JanisIesalnieks I DON'T BELIEVE that Austošā Saule Latvijai is so few... I DON'T BELIEVE...

Everyone is against immigration when asked, but they are not against it when they have to vote or push for the migration burden plan to be adopted.

That Dombrava is a fool. How can such a person be a minister. No one is against restricting immigration, but a minister cannot behave like a child. Shame.

@Nora6694Nora @ArtursButans @Progresivie @janisdombrava @VL_TBLNNK Migration has always been so "controlled" that all of Riga is full… 😊

@ArtursButans @Progresivie @janisdombrava @VL_TBLNNK The Progressives are for controlled migration. I myself asked Suvajevs - but how they will ensure it. There really are no answers. So to say that they are against - that's not really true.

NO to immigrants!!! This morning at a picket in support of Interior Minister @janisdombrava. Dombrava is a guarantee for the work of curbing immigration, despite the pro-Russian progressive attacks, maneuvers to stifle the immigration problem. We simply don't need immigrants, Latvia is the home of Latvians. https://t.co/5LiZCUmidV

💪 Today @VL_TBLNNK confirmed that behind Interior Minister @janisdombrava there is a wall. ❗️❗️❗️We will not allow migrant lobby pressure to stop the Anti-Migration Plan. 🇱🇻 The financial interests of owners of universities educating Pakistanis are not the interests of the Latvian state and people. Likewise, those who pay low wages to Uzbeks can sit at the wheel! Riga will not be Londonstan! #Dombrava
