Reflections after today's “KNL”. The Latvian state is a conglomerate. Mortals usually cannot manage a conglomerate, so two supermen have applied (Kulbergs and Dombrava). They delve into EVERYTHING. I still want to insist that the conglomerate itself is the real enemy. The real Superman will be not the one who heroically manages the conglomerate, but the one who destroys it, creating in its place a humane, small, but effective administration. Here we need someone who cuts the Gordian knot, not one who heroically unravels it.

Interior Minister Jānis Dombrava (NA) survives the Saeima vote of no confidence. 25 deputies voted for no confidence in the minister, while 64 voted against. https://t.co/ZvDdxB37Sd

💪 Today @VL_TBLNNK confirmed that behind Interior Minister @janisdombrava there is a wall. ❗️❗️❗️We will not allow migrant lobby pressure to stop the Anti-Migration Plan. 🇱🇻 The financial interests of owners of universities educating Pakistanis are not the interests of the Latvian state and people. Likewise, those who pay low wages to Uzbeks can sit at the wheel! Riga will not be Londonstan! #Dombrava

📄 Latvia needs a clear and unified migration policy that effectively prevents abuse of the system, rather than creating ever new restrictions on legal employment. 📌 LDDK again invites Interior Minister @janisdombrava to a conversation with employer representatives – migration policy cannot be shaped in isolation from the labour market, economy, and business needs. 👉🏼 In LDDK's view, before introducing ever new restrictions, the effective functioning of existing control mechanisms, cooperation of state institutions, and data interoperability must be ensured. New restrictions must be justified by data and impact assessment. https://t.co/kGan43CmzO

I was also very surprised by this.

Oh, @KNL_LTV1 Šuvajevs wants to cancel marked agricultural fuel. It's clear that the progressives don't count on the votes of rural people, but how can the destruction of huge industries seem like an economic gain to them?

@J_Hermanis @Jauna_Vienotiba will always offer Latvian voters the best they can in each election and will work to implement it. Not everything always works out, but we also learn from mistakes.

For years I have published various data and also desired directions that JV had the opportunity to influence to support families with children. Here - simply without comments. https://t.co/36Yoy9Nwxg

🇱🇻 Staying in Latvia also means an obligation to integrate. The new framework strengthens early integration and state language requirements. A clear principle: Latvia must know who enters, works, and studies here, and be able to prevent risks in a timely manner.

👷 Labor attraction will also be stricter. Control of employment of third-country nationals and employer responsibility will be strengthened to reduce the risks of fictitious employment, illegal work, and abuse of the system.

🎓 Stricter supervision of foreign students and educational institutions. The goal – to reduce risks of fictitious studies and prevent studies being used only as a way to circumvent immigration conditions.

🛂 Tighter border control also on the external border: screening of third-country nationals, use of biometric data and checks in EU information systems will help identify individuals and potential security risks faster.

🛡️ Control starts before entering Latvia. The purpose of entry and conditions of stay will have to be justified more clearly, but in case of a threat to security or public order, broader options to refuse or cancel visas and residence permits.

🇱🇻 Latvia will have stricter immigration control. The new Immigration Law has been adopted and promulgated after more than two years of work in which JAUNĀ VIENOTĪBA played a significant role. The goal – a safer, clearer, and more difficult-to-abuse system. 🧵

@Petunijastante @liana_langa Lol. Laws are passed in parliament by a majority of deputies. That's exactly how the denunciation of SK began, when there was a majority to do it, not the government announcing that it wants to denounce. Power belongs to parliament, not the government.

@zuravlevs @liana_langa The government is formed by a coalition. That is, a majority in parliament. The government also submits bills to parliament. Inform yourselves.

@Petunijastante @liana_langa That means nothing. Governments don't pass laws; parliaments do. Inform yourselves.

@zuravlevs @liana_langa The fact is that a large part of the regulation on the basis of which labor immigration to Latvia has occurred over the last decade was adopted or kept in force by governments in which the National Alliance participated.

I support the purposeful work of the Minister of the Interior @janisdombrava in limiting migration (both legal and illegal). This time the Latvian characteristic 'slow pace, calm spirit' will not work, we need to act quickly. As in health care - prevention, prophylaxis is cheaper than treatment, dealing with consequences https://t.co/8hr41VU3sf

@SkaidriteIesal7 I am shocked by the response. @RigasDome pays for the aggressor state's language, but even English or Lithuanian must be paid for ourselves. As a parent, no one has asked me about foreign languages. As far as I know, others too. @VL_TBLNNK @EdvardsRatnieks @janisdombrava @RaivisDzintars https://t.co/Z4xDWQFswe
