🛡️ Control starts before entering Latvia. The purpose of entry and conditions of stay will have to be justified more clearly, but in case of a threat to security or public order, broader options to refuse or cancel visas and residence permits.

🇱🇻 Latvia will have stricter immigration control. The new Immigration Law has been adopted and promulgated after more than two years of work in which JAUNĀ VIENOTĪBA played a significant role. The goal – a safer, clearer, and more difficult-to-abuse system. 🧵

@Petunijastante @liana_langa Lol. Laws are passed in parliament by a majority of deputies. That's exactly how the denunciation of SK began, when there was a majority to do it, not the government announcing that it wants to denounce. Power belongs to parliament, not the government.

@zuravlevs @liana_langa The government is formed by a coalition. That is, a majority in parliament. The government also submits bills to parliament. Inform yourselves.

@Petunijastante @liana_langa That means nothing. Governments don't pass laws; parliaments do. Inform yourselves.

@zuravlevs @liana_langa The fact is that a large part of the regulation on the basis of which labor immigration to Latvia has occurred over the last decade was adopted or kept in force by governments in which the National Alliance participated.

I support the purposeful work of the Minister of the Interior @janisdombrava in limiting migration (both legal and illegal). This time the Latvian characteristic 'slow pace, calm spirit' will not work, we need to act quickly. As in health care - prevention, prophylaxis is cheaper than treatment, dealing with consequences https://t.co/8hr41VU3sf

@SkaidriteIesal7 I am shocked by the response. @RigasDome pays for the aggressor state's language, but even English or Lithuanian must be paid for ourselves. As a parent, no one has asked me about foreign languages. As far as I know, others too. @VL_TBLNNK @EdvardsRatnieks @janisdombrava @RaivisDzintars https://t.co/Z4xDWQFswe

The question here is different - could it be that @lsmlv and @ArnisKaktins with their Internet “polls” illegally influence the electorate?? Because for example there is a difference between LF's methodologically much more correct 1.7% @attistibai and those maybe 4% that Kaktins and LSM publish. In the case of LF ratings, it is absolutely clear that voting for LA means throwing your vote in the trash, whereas in the second case the voter may still consider such an option. The real beneficiary of these LSM polls, of course, is the public media's favorites @Progresivie, which is a small party outside the Internet world…

@Petunijastante @liana_langa Of course, it refutes your argument, but you continue to hate NA. That means hatred is your position, not a rational argument. It is strange to hate nationalists who are literally for a Latvian Latvia. If you are an internationalist, then consider going to an internationalist country.

@zuravlevs @liana_langa Either way - they are all in accordance with the current immigration legislation. Developed with NA's participation.

The LTV-filmed discussion of party supporters is unexpectedly interesting and lively precisely because in such unprepared and open people's conversations the most typical preconceptions about politics, differences in each of our thinking, and the need to be able to talk despite that all come to the surface, and the listener really doesn't know what the speaker will say next — it's interesting! Contrary to the texts of people seasoned in public discussions, which are mostly made up of clichés and typical narratives. To increase diversity of opinions, LTV should create more content in which politics is discussed by people who do not take part in political battles or other kinds of political pushing.

@Petunijastante @liana_langa Inform yourselves, wolt and bolt couriers have TUA, don't talk nonsense. TUA is 82 thousand. If that's not a lot, then I don't know what is. Also, TUA doesn't mean 'we get paid'. I wonder how many euros you've gotten that Russians or Indians live here.

@zuravlevs @liana_langa TUA at least pays us money. And that's not much. But all the 'wolt packages' and other barefoots have arrived with NA's blessing.

I am skeptical about withdrawing from the 2nd pension level, because then the only old-age 'cushion' would be the 1st level, which will become increasingly thinner due to the demographic situation. To make people trust 2PL more, we could consider improving its returns, matching risks to age groups, reducing management fees, or similar. In some cases, early withdrawal from 2PL could be economically justified (for example, for medical treatment to restore work capacity, repaying high-interest loans, reasonable investments, or similar), but it is impossible to say how large the respective population groups are.

@J_Hermanis @J_Hermanis what do you think about the possibility of withdrawing the 2nd pension pillar? Is it a mistake or a good thing? And what would happen in Latvia if it were allowed?

The government approves a series of documents at each Cabinet meeting that have not been coordinated with other ministries and various associations. The comprehensive immigration plan has gone through several rounds of coordination and has been harmonized with other ministries. If there is a desire to discuss again - we will discuss, but the comprehensive immigration plan cannot be softened and it must be adopted. Video: What is happening in Latvia?, LTV1
